Using an effective field theory with correlations, magnetic properties of an octahedral chain described by a mixed spin Ising model are investigated. Unique phenomena such as multiple hysteresis loops, saturation magnetization, and reverse flip of the magnetization plateaus occur when certain typical parameters are applied. These results may be helpful to further investigate the magnetic properties of one-dimensional systems and could potentially be utilized in the design of spin devices. 展开更多

This work focuses on the ground-state phase diagram,the compensation temperatures and the critical behaviors of a ferrimagnetic graphene-like trilayer induced by crystal fields and exchange couplings.The simulation results show that a negative decrease in crystal field or an increase in exchange coupling can increase the critical temperature.More importantly,an M curve with double compensation temperatures can be observed,which is not predicted by the Neel theory.This remarkable compensation phenomenon has potential application value in the field of magnetic recording. 展开更多

A bilayer nano-stanene-like structure with Ruderman-Kittel-Kasuya-Yoshida(RKKY)coupling described by the Ising model is proposed. The magnetic and thermodynamic properties are studied using the effective-field theory with correlations. The exchange coupling,longitudinal magnetic field, number of non-magnetic layers, and anisotropies had major influences on the magnetization, specific heat, and internal energy. Different saturation magnetizations are observed on the magnetization curve. The variation in the system blocking temperature is studied. The results provide theoretical guidance for the magnetic investigation of nanomaterials with RKKY coupling. 展开更多
