On January 8,2022,a 6.9 magnitude earthquake occurred in Menyuan County,Qinghai Province,with the epicenter located at the intersection of the Tuolaishan Fault and the Lenglongling Fault,which are part of the Qilian—...On January 8,2022,a 6.9 magnitude earthquake occurred in Menyuan County,Qinghai Province,with the epicenter located at the intersection of the Tuolaishan Fault and the Lenglongling Fault,which are part of the Qilian—Haiyuan fault zone.This study investigated the sliding characteristics and seismic mechanism of the earthquake to understand the activity and seismic risk of the fault on the northeastern margin of the Qinghai—Tibet Plateau.This paper analyzed Sentinel-1 synthetic aperture radar images to obtain the coseismic deformation field of the earthquake,which was then used to invert the slip distribution of the seismogenic fault and the coseismic Coulomb stress on the surrounding faults caused by the earthquake.It was found that the earthquake was primarily characterized by sinistral strike-slip movement.Along the satellite line of sight,the south wall of the fault had a maximum deformation of 0.62 m,and the north wall had a maximum deformation of 0.48 m.The coseismic slip distribution results indicated that the maximum slip of the earthquake was 4.51 m,and the moment magnitude was MW6.7.The Coulomb stress analysis showed that the 2016 Menyuan earthquake promoted the occurrence of the 2022Menyuan earthquake.展开更多
In this paper,carbon microsphere prepared by hydrothermal treatment was activated by KHCO_3 at high temperature,and employed as the catalyst for VO^(2+)/VO_2^+redox reaction for vanadium redox flow battery(VRFB).Carbo...In this paper,carbon microsphere prepared by hydrothermal treatment was activated by KHCO_3 at high temperature,and employed as the catalyst for VO^(2+)/VO_2^+redox reaction for vanadium redox flow battery(VRFB).Carbon microsphere can be etched by KHCO_3 due to the reaction between the pyrolysis products of KHCO_3 and carbon atoms.Moreover,KHCO_3 activation can bring many oxygen functional groups on carbon microsphere,further improving the wettability of catalyst and increasing the active sites.The electrocatalytic properties of carbon microsphere from hydrothermal treatment are improved by high temperature carbonization,and can further be enhanced by KHCO_3 activation.Among carbon microsphere samples,the VO^(2+)/VO_2^+redox reaction exhibits the highest electrochemical kinetics on KHCO_3 activated sample.The cell using KHCO_3 activated carbon microsphere as the positive catalyst demonstrates higher energy efficiency and larger discharge capacity,especially at high current density.The results reveal that KHCO_3 activated carbon microsphere is an efficient,low-cost carbon-based catalyst for VO^(2+)/VO_2^+redox reaction for VRFB system.展开更多
Based on the horizontal velocity data observed by GPS during 2004-2007,2007-2009,and 2011-2017 before,during,and after the Wenchuan earthquake in Sichuan-Yunnan and its vicinity,we analyze evolution features of the te...Based on the horizontal velocity data observed by GPS during 2004-2007,2007-2009,and 2011-2017 before,during,and after the Wenchuan earthquake in Sichuan-Yunnan and its vicinity,we analyze evolution features of the tectonic deformation caused by crustal movement in main active fault belts,and its possible influence.We conclude:the Wenchuan earthquake area showed obvious co-seismic thrust and dextral deformation from 2007 to 2009.The earthquake,to a certain extent,promoted tectonic movements on the Gansu-Sichuan boundary,Western Qinling fault zone,Anninghe-Zemuhe fault zone,and southern Xianshuihe fault zone.The vectors and strain filed acquired by GPS during Lushan and Jiuzhaigou earthquakes period may indicate that the southwest segment in the Longmenshan fault zone still has the possibility of larger earthquakes.展开更多
