Some of hsps possess functions of molecular chaperons, such as hsp60,hsp70 and hsp90, which participate in folding and assembling polypeptides to functional struc-tures and transferring them into suitable sites. They also undertake repairing damaged cellularDNA and nucleolus. Therefore, they are house-keeping proteins and play an importantrole in maintaining normal cellular life and functions and in cellular response to environmentalstresses.
