Therefore,it is of great importance to develop these students' background knowledge before something is read.This paper, based on recent overseas research findings and the author's teaching experience,discusses the close relationship between background knowledge and reading comprehension,illustrates the influence of background deficiency on students' comprehension,analyses the possible causes of students' lack of background knowledge,and proposes ways to help students develop background knowledge. 展开更多
