BACKGROUND Sinistral portal hypertension associated with pancreatic pseudocysts is rare,often caused by extrinsic compression of splenic vein,the follow-up examinations by ultrasonography for early diagnosis are quiet...BACKGROUND Sinistral portal hypertension associated with pancreatic pseudocysts is rare,often caused by extrinsic compression of splenic vein,the follow-up examinations by ultrasonography for early diagnosis are quietly necessary since haematemesis,a life-threatening condition.Few studies have reported the ultrasonography findings of sinistral portal hypertension.CASE SUMMARY A 52-year-old man presented with acute abdominal pain after drinking,steatorrhea,weight loss and accidentally melena in the past 2 mo.He underwent ultrasound-guided fine needle aspiration in other hospital and diagnosed with pancreatic pseudocysts.Ultrasonography imaging,in our department,appeared as cystic heterogeneous hypoechoic area with the size of 4.7 cm×3.8 cm that located posterior to the body and tail of pancreas,adjacent to splenic vein associated with thrombosis resulted from compression.Spleen incrassated to approximately 7.3 cm,but no dilation of main portal vein was presented.Color Doppler Flow Imaging demonstrated the formation of splenic venous collateral,nevertheless no significantly flow signals was observed in splenic vein.Pulsed Doppler revealed that the peak velocity of splenic venous collateral was 18.4 cm/s with continuous waveform.Laparotomy confirmed sinistral portal hypertension associated with pancreatic pseudocysts,subsequently distal pancreatectomy combined with splenectomy and partial gastrectomy was performed.CONCLUSION It’s important clinically to know the ultrasound appearance of sinistral portal hypertension associated with pancreatic pseudocysts for sonographer and physician.展开更多

In the field of glucose sensors,the development of inexpensive and high-efficiency electrochemical glucose sensors is the current research hotspot.In this paper,CuO-Co_(3)O_(4)composite with a prickly-sphere-like morp...In the field of glucose sensors,the development of inexpensive and high-efficiency electrochemical glucose sensors is the current research hotspot.In this paper,CuO-Co_(3)O_(4)composite with a prickly-sphere-like morphology is prepared by the facile hydrothermal method for the non-enzymatic electrochemical glucose detection.X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,transmission electron microscopy,energy-dispersive X-ray spec-troscopy,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy are used to analyze the structure,composition,and morphology of the material.In addition,the electrochemical catalytic perfor-mance of CuO-Co_(3)O_(4)to glucose is obtained by cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry.The excellent elec-trochemical sensing performance may be attributed to the large number of catalytic sites in the prickly-sphere-like composite and the synergistic effect of Cu and Co.Under an applied voltage of 0.55 V,CuO-Co_(3)O_(4)composite shows sensitivity to glucose(1503.45μA·(mmol·L^(-1))^(-1)-cm^(-2)),a low detection limit(21.95μmol·L^(-1)),excellent selectivity,a high level of reproducibility,and good sta-bility.This indicates that the CuO-Co_(3)O_(4)composite has a broad prospect of non-enzymatic glucose sensing application.展开更多
Aim:The herpes simplex virus(HSV),one of the most common viruses infecting humans,is featured by a high infection rate and usually causes complex disorders difficult to diagnose and treat.Disease progression is always...Aim:The herpes simplex virus(HSV),one of the most common viruses infecting humans,is featured by a high infection rate and usually causes complex disorders difficult to diagnose and treat.Disease progression is always combined with the specific interaction between organism and environment,but genetic factors play a decisive role in most pathogenic processes.Like most human disorders,individual difference has also been involved in the pathogenesis of HSV infection.The present study aimed to screen the potential gene loci that regulates human predisposition to HSV infection.Methods:With reference to previous studies,inbred mouse lines with significantly distinct predisposition to HSV infection were chosen for gene loci screening.Gene sites on mouse chromosome 17 associated with susceptibility to HSV infection were then identified by correlation analysis and genome-wide scanning technique.Results:Genes affecting the vulnerability of mice to HSV infection were mapped to three regions on the 17th mouse chromosome,D17MIT51.1,D17MIT39.1 and the region between D17MIT180.1 and D17MIT184.Conclusion:The results suggest that the mouse genetic background plays an important role in its susceptibility to HSV-1 infection,which might be regulated by multiple predisposing quantitative trait loci.展开更多
Water-soluble salt-based ceramic cores can be recycled and have excellent high-temperature chemical stability.In this work,vat photopolymerization was successfully applied to water-soluble salt-based ceramic cores for...Water-soluble salt-based ceramic cores can be recycled and have excellent high-temperature chemical stability.In this work,vat photopolymerization was successfully applied to water-soluble salt-based ceramic cores for the first time.The powder raw materials of the printing suspension were sodium chloride and alumina.High-precision green bodies were manufactured by optimizing suspensions and parameters.In addition,the postprocessing method was optimized according to the microstructure and mechanical properties.The sintered part had a high bending strength and smooth surface.Finally,the dissolution rate and moisture resistance were compared under different dissolution and storage conditions.Compared to traditional manufacturing methods,vat photopolymerization enables the production of complex structures without molds and reduces production costs.This technology is suitable for the rapid iteration of complex structural parts and can be applied to precision parts in aerospace,military,and other technical fields with high cost-effectiveness and sustainability.展开更多
