The alg...In this paper, a novel mathematical morphological approach is proposed, which is combined with an active threshold-based method for the identification of morphological features from images with poor qualities. The algorithm is very fast and needs low computing power.First, a mixed smooth filtering is designed to remove background noises. Second, an active threshold-based method is discussed to create a binary image to achieve rough segmentation. Third, some simple morphological operations, such as opening, closing, filling, and so on, are designed and applied to get the final result of segmentation. After morphological analysis, morphological features, such as contours, areas, numbers, locations, and so on, are obtained. Finally, the comparisons with other conventional methods validate the effectiveness, and an additional experimental result proves the repeatability of the proposed method.展开更多

Focused on the demand of encoding, decoding,...Coded structured light is an accurate, fast 3D measurement approach with high sampling density, of which the encoded fringes are distorted when projected to curved surface. Focused on the demand of encoding, decoding, multiview registration and system calibration, we expect to obtain undistorted fringes from camera image. Therefore, in this paper, we analyze the accuracy and sampling density of projecting distortion calibration approach based on control point and fitting surface. Moreover, combining the characteristic of coded structured light system, we design encoded fringe projecting distortion calibration scheme based on simplified encoded structured light model. Primarily, we neglect the minor parameters that affect the calibration in structured light model to reduce complexity. Then, we build the correspondence between camera image points and projector image points and achieve the calibration. Finally, we design evaluation scheme of projecting distortion calibration with parallelism and equal interval, and verify the effectiveness and accuracy of the approach through visual effect and experimental data.展开更多

In this paper, aiming at the problem of poor generalization capability and over-fitting with artificial neutral network for infrared image filtering, a new filtering method is presented. The structure elements are used to set up the training samples. And then, based on support vector machine theory, it builds the learning ma-chine with proper model and trains the samples. The result can be used to suppress the background SNR of following image. The experimental result with infrared image shows that the method can obtain higher SNR than conventional neutral network and fixed Top-Hat operator method, especially in low SNR.展开更多
