The extruded AZ80+0.4%Ce magnesium alloy was twisted in the temperature range of 300-380℃by using a Gleeble 3500 thermal simulation test machine with a torsion unit.The deformed cylindrical specimens were cooled at a cooling rate of 10℃/s or 0.1℃/s,respectively,and aged at 170℃.The microstructure analysis results showed that the grain size decreased with increasing specimen radial position from center(SRPC),and that the strong initial basal texture of the extruded magnesium alloy was weakened.Both continuous and discontinuous dynamic recrystallization mechanisms were involved in contributing to the grain refinement for all specimens investigated.And a novel extension twinning induced dynamic recrystallization mechanism was proposed for specimen deformed at 300℃.For the specimens deformed at 300℃and 340℃followed by a slow cooling rate(0.1℃/s),precipitates of various shapes(β-Mg_(17)Al_(12)),with the dominant precipitates being on the grains boundaries,appeared on the surface section.For specimen deformed at 380℃,lamellar precipitates(LPS)in the interiors of the grains were predominant.After aging,the LPS still dominated for specimens twisted at 380℃;however,the LPS gradually decreased with decreasing deformation temperatures from 380℃to 300℃.Dynamically precipitatedβ,especially those decorating the grain boundaries,changed the competition pictures for the LPS and precipitates of other shapes after aging.Interestingly,LPS dominated the areas for the center section of the specimens after aging regardless of deformation temperatures.Low temperature deformation with high SRPC followed by rapid cooling rate increased the micro hardness of the alloy after aging due to refined grain,reduced precipitates size,decreased lamellar spacing as well as strain hardening. 展开更多

Soft Template-Induced Porous Polyvinylidene Fluoride Membrane for Vanadium Flow Batteries

Vanadium flow batteries(VFBs)are considered ideal for grid-sc ale,long-duration energy storage applications owing to their decoupled output power and storage capacity,high safety,efficiency,and long cycle life.However,the widespread adoption of VFB s is hindered by the use of expensive Nafion membranes.Herein,we report a soft template-induced method to develop a porous polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)membrane for VFB applications.By incorporating water-soluble and flexible polyethylene glycol(PEG 400)as a soft template,we induced the aggregation of hydrophilic sulfonated poly(ether ether ketone),resulting in phase separation from the hydrophobic PVDF polymer during membrane formation.This process led to the creation of a porous PVDF membrane with controllable morphologies determined by the polyethylene glycol content in the cast solution.The optimized porous PVDF membrane enabled a stable VFB performance for 200 cycles at a current density of 80 mA/cm^(2),and the VFB exhibited a Coulombic efficiency of 95.2%and a voltage efficiency of 87.8%.These findings provide valuable insights for the development of highly stable membranes for VFB applications. 展开更多

Micro-nano structured Li Fe(1-x)MnxPO4/C(0≤x≤0.05)cathodes were prepared by spray drying,followed by calcination at 700°C.The spherical Li Fe(1-x)MnxPO4/C(0≤x≤0.05)particles with the size of 0.5 to5.0μm are composed of lots of nanoparticles of 20 to 30 nm,and have the well-developed interconnected pore structure.In contrast,when Mn doping content is 3 mol%(x=0.03),the Li Fe(0.97)Mn(0.03)PO4/C demonstrates maximum specific surface area of 31.30 m^2/g,more uniform pore size and relatively better electrochemical performance.The initial discharge capacities are 161.59,157.04 and 153.13 m Ah/g at a discharge rate of 0.2,0.5 and 1 C,respectively.Meanwhile,the discharge capacity retentions are~100%after 120 cycles.The improved electrochemical performance should be attributed to higher specific surface,smaller polarization voltage,and a high Li~+diffusion rate due to the micro-nano porous structure and lattice expansion produced by Mn doping. 展开更多

Based on the deforming technique of severe plastic deformation(SPD), the grain refinement of a Mg-9Gd-3Y-2Zn-0.5Zr alloy treated with decreasing temperature reciprocating upsetting-extrusion(RUE) and its influence on the mechanical properties and wear behavior of the alloy were studied. The RUE process was carried out for 4 passes in total, starting at 0 ℃ and decreasing by 10 ℃ for each pass. The results showed that as the number of RUE passes increased, the grain refinement effect was obvious, and the second phase in the alloy was evenly distributed. Room temperature tensile properties of the alloy and the deepening of the RUE degree showed a positive correlation trend, which was due to the grain refinement, uniform distribution of the second phase and texture weakening. And the microhardness of the alloy showed that the microhardness of RUE is the largest in 2 passes. The change in microhardness was the result of dynamic competition between the softening effect of DRX and the work hardening effect. In addition, the wear resistance of the alloy showed a positive correlation with the degree of RUE under low load conditions. When the applied load was higher, the wear resistance of the alloy treated with RUE decreased compared to the initial state alloy. This phenomenon was mainly due to the presence of oxidative wear on the surface of the alloy, which could balance the positive contribution of severe plastic deformation to wear resistance to a certain extent. 展开更多

High-locality landslides are located on slopes at high elevations and are characterized by long sliding distances, large gravitational potential energy, high movement velocities, tremendous kinetic energy, and sudden onset. Thus, they often cause catastrophic damage to human lives and engineering facilities. It is of great significance to identify active high-locality landslides in their early deformational stages and to reveal their deformational rules for effective disaster mitigation. Due to alpinecanyon landforms, Mao County is a representative source of high-locality landslides. This work employs multisource data(geological, terrain, meteorological, ground sensor, and remote sensing data) and timeseries In SAR technology to recognize active high-locality landslides in Mao County and to reveal their laws of development. Some new viewpoints are suggested.(1) Nineteen active high-locality landslides are identified by the time-series In SAR technique, of which 7 are newly discovered in this work. All these high-locality landslides possessed good concealment during their early deformational stages. The newly discovered HL-16 landslide featured a large scale and a great slope height, posing a large threat to the surrounding buildings and residents.(2) The high-locality landslides in Mao County were mainly triggered by three factors: earthquakes, precipitation, and road construction.(3) Three typical high-locality landslides that were triggered by different factors are highlighted with their deformational rules under the functions of steep terrain, shattered rocks, fissure-water penetration, precipitation, and road construction. This work may provide clues to the prevention and control of high-locality landslides and can be applied to the determination of active high-locality landslides in other hard-hit areas. 展开更多

Based on the standard k-ε turbulence model, a new compressible k-ε model considering the pressure expansion influence due to the compressibility of fluid is developed and applied to the simulation of 3D transonic turbulent flows in a nozzle and a cascade. The Reynolds avenged N-S equations in generalized curvilinear coordinates are solved with implementation of the new model. The high resolution TVD scheme is used to discretize the convective terms. The numerical results show that the compressible k-ε model behaves well in the simulation of transonic internal turbulent flows. 展开更多

Indium vanadate (InVO4 ) possesses excellent potential in photocatalytic carbon dioxide (CO_(2) ) reduction, but further modifications of reducing charge recombination and increasing active sites are still needed. Herein, InVO4 /g-C3 N4 (InVO-CN) heterojunction composite photocatalysts were prepared via in situ formation of InVO4 nanoparticles on the lamellar structure of graphite carbon nitride (g-C3 N4 ) containing nitrogen (N) defects. Among these composites, 30% InVO-CN showed the best photoreduction performance for CO_(2) at normal temperature and pressure without sacrificial agent (carbon monoxide, CO: 20.14 μmol g–1 h–1;methane, CH4 : 3.46 μmol g–1 h–1 ), which were 1.8 and 2.8 times higher than these of pure g-C3 N4 and InVO4 . The excellent performance could be attributed to the enhancement of CO_(2) adsorption, and most importantly, the enhanced charge carrier separation and reduction capacity induced by the formation of Z-scheme heterojunction between InVO4 and g-C3 N4 . In this work, intimate heterojunction interfaces between materials were formed by introducing g-C3 N4 with defects in InVO4 , which provides a promising modification scheme. 展开更多

Background&Objectives:The degree of liver injury in indeterminate chronic hepatitis B(CHB)infection patients with Hepatitis B e antigen(HBeAg)‐negative and persistently normal alanine aminotransferase(PNALT)levels is yet unclear.Therefore,we aimed to assess liver histological changes in such patients by liver biopsy and explore possible predictors.Methods:Overall,711 HBeAg‐negative CHB patients with PNALT levels who underwent liver biopsy from January 2017 to June 2022 were included in this retrospective study.The relationships between histological changes and predictors were assessed by smooth curve fitting and multivariate logistic regression analysis models.Data were also analyzed using American Association for the Study of Liver Disease(AASLD)modified alanine aminotransferase(ALT)criteria.Results:The proportion of significant histological changes in the indeterminate phase was higher than that in the inactive phase(53.97%vs.41.33%).The adjusted odds ratios(aORs)of significant necroinflammation and histological changes for the indeterminate phase were 2.05 and 1.43,respectively,when compared with the inactive phase by multivariate logistic regression analyses.Significant histological changes in the‐phase were positively associated with age,ALT,Aspartate aminotransferase(AST),Hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg),and Hepatitis B virus(HBV)DNA levels but negatively correlated with platelet(PLT)levels.HBV DNA≥5 log10 U/L and PLT<200�109/L were independent predictive factors for assessing histological changes in indeterminate‐phase patients.Similar analysis findings were obtained using the two sets of modified ALT criteria.Conclusions:Significant histological changes are not rare in indeterminatephase CHB patients and are higher than in the inactive phase,regardless of the ALT criteria.Histological investigation is strongly suggested for intermediate stage patients with HBV DNA>5 log10 U/L or PLT<200�109/L and antiviral therapy should be considered for such patients. 展开更多

The Ross,Filchner-Ronne,and Amery ice shelves are the three largest ice shelves in Antarctica,playing a crucial role in supporting the Antarctic ice sheet.However,current studies on the stability of the three largest ice shelves primarily focus on singular or limited factors,lacking a comprehensive assessment of multiple parameters.To systematically and in-depth study the stability and trend of the three largest ice shelves,we comprehensively collected and analyzed key parameters,including elevation changes,basal melting,surface meltwater,major rifts propagation rate,suture zones,ice front area change rate,grounding lines,ice velocity,and mass balance.Additionally,we selected the collapsed Larsen B Ice Shelf(LBIS),the rapidly changing and structurally weakened Pine Island Ice Shelf(PIIS),and the accelerating Totten Ice Shelf(TIS)as reference ice shelves.By comparing and analyzing the key parameters between these reference ice shelves and the three largest ice shelves,we find the status and trends in the stability of the latter.Our findings reveal that most key parameters of the three largest ice shelves present relatively minor variations compared to those of the reference ice shelves.Specifically,50%of the parameters are smaller than those of the accelerating TIS,88%are smaller than those of the rapidly changing PIIS,and all parameters are smaller than those of the collapsed LBIS.Furthermore,after analyzing parameters that are not smaller than those of the TIS,it is observed that they remain in a stable state.Hence,the three largest ice shelves are currently undergoing natural changes that do not threaten their stability in the short term.Nevertheless,the evolution of the ice shelves under global climate change remains uncertain,making long-term observation and monitoring essential to assess their impact on sea level rise. 展开更多
