The males of four species, Pselliophora xanthopimplina Enderlein, 1921, Tanyptera hubeiensis Yang ＆ Yang, 1988, Tipula coxitalis Alexander, 1935 and Tipulodina xyris （Alexander, 1949） are redescribed and illustrated, with new morphological characters.
