We theoretically propose a reconfigurable two-dimensional(2 D)hexagonal sonic crystal with higher-order topology protected by the six-fold,C6,rotation symmetry.The acoustic band gap and band topology can be controlled by rotating the triangular scatterers in each unit cell.In the nontrivial phase,the sonic crystal realizes the topological spin Hall effect in a higher-order fashion:(i)the edge states emerging in the bulk band gap exhibit partial spin-momentum correlation and are gapped due to the reduced spatial symmetry at the edges.(ii)The gapped edge states,on the other hand,stabilize the topological corner states emerging in the edge band gap.The partial spin-momentum correlation is manifested as pseudo-spin-polarization of edge states away from the time-reversal invariant momenta,where the pseudospin is emulated by the acoustic orbital angular momentum.We reveal the underlying topological mechanism using a corner topological index based on the symmetry representation of the acoustic Bloch bands. 展开更多

Topological edge states have an important role in optical modulation with potential applications in wavelength division multiplexers(WDMs).In this paper,2D photonic crystals(PCs)with different rotation angles are combined to generate topological edge states.We reveal the relationship between the edge states and the rotation parameters of PCs,and further propose a WDM to realize the application of adjustable beams.Our findings successfully reveal the channel selectivity for optical transmission and provide a flexible way to promote the development of topological photonic devices. 展开更多

高阶拓扑超材料具有多个维度拓扑态,拓展了人们对经典波体系体边对应的理解.另一方面,微机械系统在众多领域具有广泛应用,如声表面波器件、陀螺传感器、微镜整列等.声表面波器件在手机等通讯系统中不可或缺,但它的性能主要受基底材料和... 高阶拓扑超材料具有多个维度拓扑态,拓展了人们对经典波体系体边对应的理解.另一方面,微机械系统在众多领域具有广泛应用,如声表面波器件、陀螺传感器、微镜整列等.声表面波器件在手机等通讯系统中不可或缺,但它的性能主要受基底材料和插齿电极构型限制.为了增强声表面波等微机械系统的性能,需要制备具有高频率、高品质因数的高阶拓扑微机械系统.然而目前高阶拓扑机械系统仍局限于大尺度和低频.本文基于硅片材料实现了弹性波高阶拓扑绝缘体,首先通过调节角度实现能带反转并得到高阶拓扑带隙,接着通过微加工制备了具有一阶拓扑边缘态和零阶拓扑角态的硅片器件.高阶拓扑微机械超材料的实现,为拓扑弹性波超材料在声表面波器件中的应用提供了新的途径. 展开更多

We demonstrate that multiple higher-order topological transitions can be triggered via the continuous change of the geometry in kagome photonic crystals composed of three dielectric rods. By tuning a single geometry parameter, the photonic corner and edge states emerge or disappear with higher-order topological transitions. Two distinct higher-order topological insulator phases and a normal insulator phase are revealed. Their topological indices are obtained from symmetry representations. A photonic analog of the fractional corner charge is introduced to distinguish the two higher-order topological insulator phases. Our predictions can be readily realized and verified in configurable dielectric photonic crystals. 展开更多
