Different from traditional isotropic sensors with sensing disk, directional sensors may have a limited angle of sensing range due to special applications. In this paper, we study the coverage problem in directional sensor networks (DSNs) with the rotatable orientation for each sensor. We propose the optimal coverage in directional sensor networks (OCDSN) problem to cover maximal area while activating as few sensors as possible. Then we prove the OCDSN to be NP-complete and propose the Voronoi-based centralized approximation (VCA) algorithm and the Voronoi-based distributed approximation (VDA) algorithm of the solution to the OCDSN problem. Finally, extensive simulation is executed to demonstrate the performance of the proposed algorithms.展开更多

Malicious users can benefit from injecting a great quantities of fake profiles into recommender systems to manipulate recommendation results. As one of the most important attack methods in recommender systems, the shilling attack has been paid considerable attention, especially to its model and the way to detect it. Among them, the loose version of Group Shilling Attack Generation Algorithm (GSAGenl) has outstanding performance. It can be immune to some PCC (Pearson Correlation Coefficient)-based detectors due to the nature of anti-Pearson correlation. In order to overcome the vulnerabilities caused by GSAGenl, a gravitation-based detection model (GBDM) is presented, integrated with a sophisticated gravitational detector and a decider. And meanwhile two new basic attributes and a particle filter algorithm are used for tracking prediction. And then, whether an attack occurs can be judged according to the law of universal gravitation in decision-making. The detection performances of GBDM, HHT-SVM, UnRAP, AP-UnRAP Semi-SAD,SVM-TIA and PCA-P are compared and evaluated. And simulation results show the effectiveness and availability of GBDM.展开更多

A new threedimensional(3D) MOF {[(CH_(3))_(2)NH_(2)][Zn_(3)(bbip)(BTDI)1.5(OH)]·DMF·MeOH·3H_(2)O}n(JXUST-13, bbip = 2,6-bis(benzimidazol-1-yl)pyridine and H_(4)BTDI = 5,5-(benzo[c][1,2,5]thiadiazole-4,7-diyl)diisophthalic acid)with new 4,4,8-connceted topology has been successfully synthesized and structurally characterized. Importantly, JXUST-13 could recognize H_(2)PO_(4)-and acetylacetone(Acac) by obvious fluorescence blue shift and slight enhancement with the detection limits of 2.70 μmol/L and 0.21 mmol/L, respectively. In addition, JXUST-13 exhibits relatively good thermal stability, chemical stabilities as well as reusability, and the analytes could be distinguished by naked eye and fluorescence test paper. Remarkably, JXUST-13 is the first dual-responsive MOF sensor based on fluorescence blue shift for the detection of H_(2)PO_(4)-and Acac with good selectivity in a handy, economic, and environmentally friendly manner.展开更多

In addressing privacy protection problems in Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), secure multi-party computation is considered vital, where obtaining the Euclidian distance between two nodes with no disclosure of either side's secrets has become the focus of location-privacy-related applications. This paper proposes a novel Privacy-Preserving Scalar Product Protocol (PPSPP) for wireless sensor networks. Based on PPSPP, we then propose a Homomorphic-Encryption-based Euclidean Distance Protocol (HEEDP) without third parties. This protocol can achieve secure distance computation between two sensor nodes. Correctness proofs of PPSPP and HEEDP are provided, followed by security validation and analysis. Performance evaluations via comparisons among similar protocols demonstrate that HEEDP is superior; it is most efficient in terms of both communication and computation on a wide range of data types, especially in wireless sensor networks.展开更多

Quantitative studies of macrocrystalline wax and microcrystalline wax content of source rock extracts from the Damintun depression, Liaohe Basin, a typical high wax producing area, coupled with microscopical maceral composition studies and pyrolysis-GC analysis indicate that oil shale enriched in lacustrine biomass makes a primary contribution to wax in oil. The main precursors of high wax oil are lacustrine alginites and their amorphous matrix, which are highly aliphatic in nature and have high genera-tive potential for HMWHCs. Wax generation efficiency could be affected by organic material abundance and matur-ity. The high abundance and low maturity of organic mate-rial are favorite for the formation of high quantity of wax, which declines with decreasing organic abundance and in-creasing thermal maturity. This suggests that wax is derived from organic-rich lacustrine biomass at early stages of maturation (RO = 0.4%—0.7%). Although the contribution of high plant cuticular wax and sporopollen cannot be ruled out, lacustrine biomass is more important in the formation of high wax oil.展开更多
