Now we extend one method into a sequence of binomial data, propose a stepwise confidence interval method for toxic-ity study, and also in our paper, two methods of constructing intervals for the risk difference are proposed. The first one is based on the well-known conditional confidence intervals for odds ratio, and the other one comes from Santner“small-sample confidence intervals for the difference of two success probabilities”, and it produces exact intervals, through employing our method. 展开更多

On-chip spectrometers with high compactness and portability enable new applications in scientific research and industrial development.Fourier transform(FT)spectrometers have the potential to realize a high signal-to-noise ratio.Here we propose and demonstrate a generalized design for high-performance on-chip FT spectrometers.The spectrometer is based on the dynamic in-plane reconfiguration of a waveguide coupler enabled by an integrated comb-drive actuator array.The electrostatic actuation intrinsically features ultra-low power consumption.The coupling gap is crucial to the spectral resolution.The in-plane reconfiguration surmounts the lithography accuracy limitation of the coupling gap,boosting the resolution to 0.2 nm for dual spectral spikes over a large bandwidth of 100 nm(1.5–1.6μm)within a compact footprint of 75μm×1000μm.Meanwhile,the in-plane tuning range can be large enough for arbitrary wavelengths to ensure the effectiveness of spectrum reconstruction.As a result,the proposed spectrometer can be easily transplanted to other operation bands by simply scaling the structural parameters.As a proof-of-concept,a mid-infrared spectrometer is further demonstrated with a dual-spike reconstruction resolution of 1.5 nm and a bandwidth of 300 nm(4–4.3μm). 展开更多

The authors also define the interval isolated nodes of the random graph process, study the distribution sequence of the number of isolated nodes and the probability of having no isolated nodes when the initial distribution of the random graph process is stationary distribution, derive the lower limit of the probability in which two arbitrary nodes are connected and the random graph is also connected, and prove that the random graph is almost everywhere connected when the number of nodes is sufficiently large. 展开更多

To study the effects of early signal substances induced by heat stress in brains of Kunming mice,six-month-old mice(n 572)were pretreated with heat stress and subsequent ischemia/reperfusion by clipping of their bilateral cervical common arteries for 7 min.According to different treatments,animals were randomly divided into four groups:(1)normal control group;(2)heat stress pre-treatment followed by ischemia and reperfusion group(HS/IR);(3)ischemia and reperfusion group(IR);(4)heat stress group(HS).Animals in the later three groups were subdivided into 3 subgroups(1 day,4 days,14 days),respectively.The changes in the expression of cAMP res-ponse element binding protein(CREB)and calcitonin gene-related peptide(CGRP)were detected by immuno-histochemistry and computer image analysis methods.The results showed that compared with the normal group,the expressions of CREB in the hippocampal CA1 region increased significantly in the HS,HS/IR and IR groups(P,0.05).Compared to the normal group,heat stress could result in CGRP excretion and redistribution in the cerebrum,with the highest level in the 4 d HS/IR group.Following heat stress,CGRP immunoreactivity was observed in varicose fibers and neuronal perikarya within the CA1 region.The results indicate that heat stress can induce CREB expression,which in turn stimulates CGRP secretion. 展开更多
