Having made visits to China I believe that the fruitful exchanges between our two countries have broad prospects. 对中国及其历史、文化和发展的浓厚兴趣贯穿我在维也纳大学的求学生涯并持续至今,驱使我在1974年至2019年间十余次访华。我第一次访华是在1974年夏末,当时中国处于毛泽东时代和“文化大革命”的末期。作为一名在1971年中奥建交之年当选的年轻国民议会议员,我和夫人在没有陪同的情况下踏上了旅途。我至今都难忘首次访华的经历,此后更是见证了中国在过去近50年里翻天覆地的变化。
