Objective:For locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma(LA-NPC)patients,high incidences of distant metastases and severe treatment related toxicities are the main obstacles needed to be overcome.Raltitrexed,a specific...Objective:For locally advanced nasopharyngeal carcinoma(LA-NPC)patients,high incidences of distant metastases and severe treatment related toxicities are the main obstacles needed to be overcome.Raltitrexed,a specific thymidylate synthase inhibitor with a convenient administration schedule,has an acceptable and manageable toxicity,and possesses radio-sensitizing properties.To investigate the efficacy and safety of raltitrexed and cisplatin induction chemotherapy and concurrent chemoradiotherapy(IC+CCRT)in patients with LA-NPC,a phaseⅡclinical study was conducted.Methods:Sixty eligible patients with LA-NPC were enrolled into this study.A raltitrexed-cisplatin combination was used as part of an IC+CCRT regimen.Raltitrexed-cisplatin IC was given once every 3 weeks(q3 w)for two cycles,followed by raltitrexed-cisplatin based CCRT q3 w for two cycles.Intensity-modulated radiotherapy(IMRT)was given for all enrolled patients.Results:All patients were included in survival analysis according to the intent-to-treat principle.The objective response rate(ORR)3 months after treatment was 98%.The 2-year overall survival(OS)rate was 92%.The median relapse-free survival(RFS)time was 30.5[95%confidence interval(95%CI),28.4-32.3]months.The 2-year RFS rate was 85%.The 2-year local failure-free survival(LFFS)rate was 97%and the 2-year distant metastasis-free survival(DMFS)rate was 88%.Acute toxicities were mostly grade 2 and 3 reactions in bone marrow suppression,gastrointestinal side effect and oropharyngeal mucositis.Only two patients occurred grade 4 acute toxicities,one was bone marrow suppression and the other was dermatitis radiation.Conclusions:The combination of raltitrexed and cisplatin has a comparable efficacy to those in standard firstline therapy.展开更多
The practical application of lithium-sulfur batteries is severely hampered by the poor conductivity,polysulfide shuttle effect and sluggish reaction kinetics of sulfur cathodes.Herein,a hierarchi-cally porous three-di...The practical application of lithium-sulfur batteries is severely hampered by the poor conductivity,polysulfide shuttle effect and sluggish reaction kinetics of sulfur cathodes.Herein,a hierarchi-cally porous three-dimension(3D)carbon architecture assembled by cross-linked carbon leaves with implanted atomic Co-N4 has been deli-cately developed as an advanced sulfur host through a SiO_(2)-mediated zeolitic imidazolate framework-L(ZIF-L)strategy.The unique 3D architectures not only provide a highly conductive network for fast electron transfer and buffer the volume change upon lithiation-delithi-ation process but also endow rich interface with full exposure of Co-N4 active sites to boost the lithium polysulfides adsorption and conversion.Owing to the accelerated kinetics and suppressed shuttle effect,the as-prepared sulfur cathode exhibits a superior electrochemical perfor-mance with a high reversible specific capacity of 695 mAh g^(−1) at 5 C and a low capacity fading rate of 0.053%per cycle over 500 cycles at 1 C.This work may provide a promising solution for the design of an advanced sulfur-based cathode toward high-performance Li-S batteries.展开更多
Exploring highly active but inexpensive electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is of critical importance for hydrogen production from electrochemical water splitting.Herein,we report a multicomponent...Exploring highly active but inexpensive electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is of critical importance for hydrogen production from electrochemical water splitting.Herein,we report a multicomponent catalyst with exceptional activity and durability for HER,in which cobalt nanoparticles were in-situ confined inside bamboo-like carbon nanotubes(CNTs)while ultralow ruthenium loading(~2.6μg per electrode area~cm^(−2))is uniformly deposited on their exterior walls(Co@CNTsǀRu).The atomic-scale structural investigations and theoretical calculations indicate that the confined inner Co and loaded outer Ru would induce charge redistribution and a synergistic electron coupling,not only optimizing the adsorption energy of H intermediates(ΔGH*)but also facilitating the electron/mass transfer.The as-developed Co@CNTsǀRu composite catalyst requires overpotentials of only 10,32,and 63 mV to afford a current density of 10 mA cm^(−2) in alkaline,acidic and neutral media,respectively,representing top-level catalytic activity among all reported HER catalysts.The current work may open a new insight into the rational design of carbon-supported metal catalysts for practical applications.展开更多

Aim:As more and more centers has published their treatment results of pseudomyxoma peritonei(PMP)with cytoreductive surgery(CRS)and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy(HIPEC),the data from China is missing.Myxom...Aim:As more and more centers has published their treatment results of pseudomyxoma peritonei(PMP)with cytoreductive surgery(CRS)and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy(HIPEC),the data from China is missing.Myxoma Department of Aerospace Hospital is the biggest center treating PMP in China.The purpose of this study is to report the early and long-term outcomes for PMP from this single center.Methods:801 appendix-derived PMP out of 1008 consecutive patients treated in Myxoma Department of Aerospace Hospital between 2008 and 2019 were retrospectively analyzed.Results:Complete cytoreductive surgery(CCRS)was achieved in 240(30%)patients with median PCI of 14(1~39),and the rest had maximal tumor debulking(MTD),HIPEC was implemented in 96.3%of CCRS and 78.6%of MTD.The major morbidity(grade III/IV)was 11.4%and the 30-day operative mortality is 0.7%.The 5-and 10-year OS of CCRS was 76.9%and 64.1%,which is significantly higher than MTD(5-,10-year OS as 36.1%,27.1%;p<0.001).On the univariate analysis,all prognostic factors(gender,PSS,interval time,prior chemotherapy,prior HIPEC,Peritoneal Cancer Index(PCI),completeness of cytoreduction(CC),HIPEC,pathology,present of serous ascites)were found to be associated with overall survival except for age.On multivariate analysis,only PCI>20,MTD,high pathologic grade and without HIPEC were independent factors predicting poorer prognosis.Conclusions:CCRS+HIPEC can benefit PMP well with controllable risks.MTD+HIPEC may benefit PMP as well when CCRS cannot be achieved after fully asscessment by an experienced peritoneal maglignacy center,but the surgery should be performed as limited as possible.展开更多
3D shape recognition has drawn much attention in recent years.The view-based approach performs best of all.However,the current multi-view methods are almost all fully supervised,and the pretraining models are almost a...3D shape recognition has drawn much attention in recent years.The view-based approach performs best of all.However,the current multi-view methods are almost all fully supervised,and the pretraining models are almost all based on ImageNet.Although the pretraining results of ImageNet are quite impressive,there is still a significant discrepancy between multi-view datasets and ImageNet.Multi-view datasets naturally retain rich 3D information.In addition,large-scale datasets such as ImageNet require considerable cleaning and annotation work,so it is difficult to regenerate a second dataset.In contrast,unsupervised learning methods can learn general feature representations without any extra annotation.To this end,we propose a three-stage unsupervised joint pretraining model.Specifically,we decouple the final representations into three fine-grained representations.Data augmentation is utilized to obtain pixel-level representations within each view.And we boost the spatial invariant features from the view level.Finally,we exploit global information at the shape level through a novel extract-and-swap module.Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method gains significantly in 3D object classification and retrieval tasks,and shows generalization to cross-dataset tasks.展开更多

The transformation and migration of the Cr in this system is comprehensively studied in t...A soil–plant biological system was developed from chromium(Cr) polluted soil treated by the compost-phytoremediation method. The transformation and migration of the Cr in this system is comprehensively studied in this research. The results illustrated that the co-composting treatment can reduce the Cr availability from 39%(F1 was about 31% of total, F2 was about 8% of total) to less than 2% by stabilizing the Cr. However, herbaceous plants can accumulate the concentrations of Cr from 113.8 to 265.2 mg/kg in the two crops,even though the concentration of soluble Cr in the substrate soil was below 0.1 mg/L.Cr can be assimilated and easily transferred in the tissues of plants because the lowmolecular-weight organic-acids(LMWOAs) derived from the plant root increase the bioavailability of Cr. The amount of extracted Cr dramatically increased when the organic acids were substituted in this order: citric acid 〉 malic acid 〉 tartaric acid 〉 oxalic acid 〉acetic acid. On average the maximum(147.4 mg/kg) and the minimum(78.75 mg/kg) Cr were extracted by 20 mmol/L citric acid and acetic acid, respectively. The desorption of Cr in different acid solutions can be predicted by the pseudo second-order kinetics. The exchangeable Cr, carbonate-bound Cr, and residual Cr decreased, while Fe–Mn oxide bound Cr and organic bound Cr increased in the soil solid phase. According to the experimental results, the organic acids will promote the desorption and chelation processes of Cr, leading to the remobilization of Cr in the soil.展开更多

Dysfunctional miR-9 expression remains ambiguous, and no consensus on the metastatic progression of ovarian cancer has been reached. In this study, results from the bioinformatics analysis show that the 3'-UTR of the E- cadherin mRNA was directly regulated by miR-9. Luciferase reporter assay results confirmed that miR-9 could directly target this 3'-UTR. miR-9 and E-cadherin expression in ovarian cancer tissue was quantified by qRT- PCR. Migration and invasion were detected by wound healing and Transwell system assay in SKOV3 and A2780. qRT-PCR and Western blot were performed to detect the epithelial-mesenchymal transition-associated mRNA and proteins. Immunofluorescence technique was used to analyze the expression and subcellular localization of E- cadherin, N-cadherin, and vimentin. The results showed that miR-9 was frequently upregulated in metastatic serous ovarian cancer tissue compared with paired primary ones. Upregulation of miR-9 could downregulate the expression of E-cadherin but upregulate the expression of mesenchymal markers (N-cadherin and vimentin). Overexpression of miR-9 could promote the cell migration and invasion in ovarian cancer, and these processes could be effectively inhibited via miR-9 inhibitor. Thus, our study demonstrates that miR-9 may promote ovarian cancer metastasis via targeting E-cadherin and a novel potential therapeutic approach to control metastasis of ovarian cancer.展开更多
Zika virus(ZIKV)has been isolated from mosquitoes such as Aedes,Mansonia uniformis,and Culex perfuscus;However,the isolation of ZIKV from Anopheles sinensis and Culex tritaeniorhynchus has not yet been reported.In Jun...Zika virus(ZIKV)has been isolated from mosquitoes such as Aedes,Mansonia uniformis,and Culex perfuscus;However,the isolation of ZIKV from Anopheles sinensis and Culex tritaeniorhynchus has not yet been reported.In June and July2018,22,985 mosquitoes and 57,500 midges were collected in Jiangxi Province in southeastern China.Among them,six strains of ZIKV were isolated from mosquitoes:four from An.sinensis and two from Cx.tritaeniorhynchus.Molecular genetic analysis showed that the ZIKV isolated from An.sinensis and Cx.tritaeniorhynchus belonged to genotype 2 in the Asian evolutionary branch of ZIKV.In addition,the ZIKV strains isolated from An.sinensis and Cx.tritaeniorhynchus had amino acid substitutions identical to ZIKV strains prevalent in South America since 2015.This study is the first to isolate ZIKV from mosquito specimens collected in the wild of Jiangxi Province,China;This is also the first time that ZIKV has been isolated from An.sinensis and Cx.tritaeniorhynchus.Given that An.sinensis and Cx.tritaeniorhynchus have a very wide geographical distribution in China and even in eastern and southern Asia,the isolation of several strains of ZIKV from these two mosquitoes poses new challenges for the prevention and control of ZIKV infection in the mainland of China and countries and regions with the same distribution of mosquitoes.展开更多
A novel process of caustic aluminate solution decomposition by alcohol medium was developed by the Institute of Process Engineering,Chinese Academy of Sciences in order to solve the problem of low decomposi-tion ratio...A novel process of caustic aluminate solution decomposition by alcohol medium was developed by the Institute of Process Engineering,Chinese Academy of Sciences in order to solve the problem of low decomposi-tion ratio in the traditional Bayer seeded hydrolysis process.In this research,effects of additives on the crystallization ratio,secondary particle size and morphol-ogy of aluminum hydroxide in the new process were studied to obtain high-quality products.On the basis of primary selection of additives,an orthogonal design L9(3^(4))was used as a chemometric method to investigate the effects of additives.The studied parameters include the reaction style,quantity of additives,caustic soda concen-tration,as well as the combination manner.The crystal-lization ratios of sodium aluminate solution and crystal size of aluminum hydroxide,determined by ICP-OES,SEM and MLPSA(Malvern Laser Particle Size Analyzer),were used to evaluate the effects of the additives.The results showed that different combination manners could promote agglomeration or dispersion.An additive composed by Tween 80 and PEG 200 could promote agglomeration,while a spot of PEG species had a relatively strong dispersion effect.However,the additives had little effects on the crystallization ratios.According to the Raman spectra result,the added alcohol medium might serve as a kind of solvent.展开更多
Finger vein biometrics have been extensively studied for the capability to detect aliveness,and the high security as intrinsic traits.However,vein pattern distortion caused by finger rotation degrades the performance ...Finger vein biometrics have been extensively studied for the capability to detect aliveness,and the high security as intrinsic traits.However,vein pattern distortion caused by finger rotation degrades the performance of CNN in 2D finger vein recognition,especially in a contactless mode.To address the finger posture variation problem,we propose a 3D finger vein verification system extracting axial rotation invariant feature.An efficient 3D finger vein reconstruction optimization model is proposed and several accelerating strategies are adopted to achieve real-time 3D reconstruction on an embedded platform.The main contribution in this paper is that we are the first to propose a novel 3D point-cloud-based endto-end neural network to extract deep axial rotation invariant feature,namely 3DFVSNet.In the network,the rotation problem is transformed to a permutation problem with the help of specially designed rotation groups.Finally,to validate the performance of the proposed network more rigorously and enrich the database resources for the finger vein recognition community,we built the largest publicly available 3D finger vein dataset with different degrees of finger rotation,namely the Large-scale Finger Multi-Biometric Database-3D Pose Varied Finger Vein(SCUT LFMB-3DPVFV)Dataset.Experimental results on 3D finger vein datasets show that our 3DFVSNet holds strong robustness against axial rotation compared to other approaches.展开更多

文摘Aim:As more and more centers has published their treatment results of pseudomyxoma peritonei(PMP)with cytoreductive surgery(CRS)and hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy(HIPEC),the data from China is missing.Myxoma Department of Aerospace Hospital is the biggest center treating PMP in China.The purpose of this study is to report the early and long-term outcomes for PMP from this single center.Methods:801 appendix-derived PMP out of 1008 consecutive patients treated in Myxoma Department of Aerospace Hospital between 2008 and 2019 were retrospectively analyzed.Results:Complete cytoreductive surgery(CCRS)was achieved in 240(30%)patients with median PCI of 14(1~39),and the rest had maximal tumor debulking(MTD),HIPEC was implemented in 96.3%of CCRS and 78.6%of MTD.The major morbidity(grade III/IV)was 11.4%and the 30-day operative mortality is 0.7%.The 5-and 10-year OS of CCRS was 76.9%and 64.1%,which is significantly higher than MTD(5-,10-year OS as 36.1%,27.1%;p<0.001).On the univariate analysis,all prognostic factors(gender,PSS,interval time,prior chemotherapy,prior HIPEC,Peritoneal Cancer Index(PCI),completeness of cytoreduction(CC),HIPEC,pathology,present of serous ascites)were found to be associated with overall survival except for age.On multivariate analysis,only PCI>20,MTD,high pathologic grade and without HIPEC were independent factors predicting poorer prognosis.Conclusions:CCRS+HIPEC can benefit PMP well with controllable risks.MTD+HIPEC may benefit PMP as well when CCRS cannot be achieved after fully asscessment by an experienced peritoneal maglignacy center,but the surgery should be performed as limited as possible.

文摘3D shape recognition has drawn much attention in recent years.The view-based approach performs best of all.However,the current multi-view methods are almost all fully supervised,and the pretraining models are almost all based on ImageNet.Although the pretraining results of ImageNet are quite impressive,there is still a significant discrepancy between multi-view datasets and ImageNet.Multi-view datasets naturally retain rich 3D information.In addition,large-scale datasets such as ImageNet require considerable cleaning and annotation work,so it is difficult to regenerate a second dataset.In contrast,unsupervised learning methods can learn general feature representations without any extra annotation.To this end,we propose a three-stage unsupervised joint pretraining model.Specifically,we decouple the final representations into three fine-grained representations.Data augmentation is utilized to obtain pixel-level representations within each view.And we boost the spatial invariant features from the view level.Finally,we exploit global information at the shape level through a novel extract-and-swap module.Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed method gains significantly in 3D object classification and retrieval tasks,and shows generalization to cross-dataset tasks.

文摘A soil–plant biological system was developed from chromium(Cr) polluted soil treated by the compost-phytoremediation method. The transformation and migration of the Cr in this system is comprehensively studied in this research. The results illustrated that the co-composting treatment can reduce the Cr availability from 39%(F1 was about 31% of total, F2 was about 8% of total) to less than 2% by stabilizing the Cr. However, herbaceous plants can accumulate the concentrations of Cr from 113.8 to 265.2 mg/kg in the two crops,even though the concentration of soluble Cr in the substrate soil was below 0.1 mg/L.Cr can be assimilated and easily transferred in the tissues of plants because the lowmolecular-weight organic-acids(LMWOAs) derived from the plant root increase the bioavailability of Cr. The amount of extracted Cr dramatically increased when the organic acids were substituted in this order: citric acid 〉 malic acid 〉 tartaric acid 〉 oxalic acid 〉acetic acid. On average the maximum(147.4 mg/kg) and the minimum(78.75 mg/kg) Cr were extracted by 20 mmol/L citric acid and acetic acid, respectively. The desorption of Cr in different acid solutions can be predicted by the pseudo second-order kinetics. The exchangeable Cr, carbonate-bound Cr, and residual Cr decreased, while Fe–Mn oxide bound Cr and organic bound Cr increased in the soil solid phase. According to the experimental results, the organic acids will promote the desorption and chelation processes of Cr, leading to the remobilization of Cr in the soil.
文摘MicroRNAs (miRNAs) play critical roles in the development and progression in various cancers. Dysfunctional miR-9 expression remains ambiguous, and no consensus on the metastatic progression of ovarian cancer has been reached. In this study, results from the bioinformatics analysis show that the 3'-UTR of the E- cadherin mRNA was directly regulated by miR-9. Luciferase reporter assay results confirmed that miR-9 could directly target this 3'-UTR. miR-9 and E-cadherin expression in ovarian cancer tissue was quantified by qRT- PCR. Migration and invasion were detected by wound healing and Transwell system assay in SKOV3 and A2780. qRT-PCR and Western blot were performed to detect the epithelial-mesenchymal transition-associated mRNA and proteins. Immunofluorescence technique was used to analyze the expression and subcellular localization of E- cadherin, N-cadherin, and vimentin. The results showed that miR-9 was frequently upregulated in metastatic serous ovarian cancer tissue compared with paired primary ones. Upregulation of miR-9 could downregulate the expression of E-cadherin but upregulate the expression of mesenchymal markers (N-cadherin and vimentin). Overexpression of miR-9 could promote the cell migration and invasion in ovarian cancer, and these processes could be effectively inhibited via miR-9 inhibitor. Thus, our study demonstrates that miR-9 may promote ovarian cancer metastasis via targeting E-cadherin and a novel potential therapeutic approach to control metastasis of ovarian cancer.

文摘Zika virus(ZIKV)has been isolated from mosquitoes such as Aedes,Mansonia uniformis,and Culex perfuscus;However,the isolation of ZIKV from Anopheles sinensis and Culex tritaeniorhynchus has not yet been reported.In June and July2018,22,985 mosquitoes and 57,500 midges were collected in Jiangxi Province in southeastern China.Among them,six strains of ZIKV were isolated from mosquitoes:four from An.sinensis and two from Cx.tritaeniorhynchus.Molecular genetic analysis showed that the ZIKV isolated from An.sinensis and Cx.tritaeniorhynchus belonged to genotype 2 in the Asian evolutionary branch of ZIKV.In addition,the ZIKV strains isolated from An.sinensis and Cx.tritaeniorhynchus had amino acid substitutions identical to ZIKV strains prevalent in South America since 2015.This study is the first to isolate ZIKV from mosquito specimens collected in the wild of Jiangxi Province,China;This is also the first time that ZIKV has been isolated from An.sinensis and Cx.tritaeniorhynchus.Given that An.sinensis and Cx.tritaeniorhynchus have a very wide geographical distribution in China and even in eastern and southern Asia,the isolation of several strains of ZIKV from these two mosquitoes poses new challenges for the prevention and control of ZIKV infection in the mainland of China and countries and regions with the same distribution of mosquitoes.

文摘A novel process of caustic aluminate solution decomposition by alcohol medium was developed by the Institute of Process Engineering,Chinese Academy of Sciences in order to solve the problem of low decomposi-tion ratio in the traditional Bayer seeded hydrolysis process.In this research,effects of additives on the crystallization ratio,secondary particle size and morphol-ogy of aluminum hydroxide in the new process were studied to obtain high-quality products.On the basis of primary selection of additives,an orthogonal design L9(3^(4))was used as a chemometric method to investigate the effects of additives.The studied parameters include the reaction style,quantity of additives,caustic soda concen-tration,as well as the combination manner.The crystal-lization ratios of sodium aluminate solution and crystal size of aluminum hydroxide,determined by ICP-OES,SEM and MLPSA(Malvern Laser Particle Size Analyzer),were used to evaluate the effects of the additives.The results showed that different combination manners could promote agglomeration or dispersion.An additive composed by Tween 80 and PEG 200 could promote agglomeration,while a spot of PEG species had a relatively strong dispersion effect.However,the additives had little effects on the crystallization ratios.According to the Raman spectra result,the added alcohol medium might serve as a kind of solvent.
文摘Finger vein biometrics have been extensively studied for the capability to detect aliveness,and the high security as intrinsic traits.However,vein pattern distortion caused by finger rotation degrades the performance of CNN in 2D finger vein recognition,especially in a contactless mode.To address the finger posture variation problem,we propose a 3D finger vein verification system extracting axial rotation invariant feature.An efficient 3D finger vein reconstruction optimization model is proposed and several accelerating strategies are adopted to achieve real-time 3D reconstruction on an embedded platform.The main contribution in this paper is that we are the first to propose a novel 3D point-cloud-based endto-end neural network to extract deep axial rotation invariant feature,namely 3DFVSNet.In the network,the rotation problem is transformed to a permutation problem with the help of specially designed rotation groups.Finally,to validate the performance of the proposed network more rigorously and enrich the database resources for the finger vein recognition community,we built the largest publicly available 3D finger vein dataset with different degrees of finger rotation,namely the Large-scale Finger Multi-Biometric Database-3D Pose Varied Finger Vein(SCUT LFMB-3DPVFV)Dataset.Experimental results on 3D finger vein datasets show that our 3DFVSNet holds strong robustness against axial rotation compared to other approaches.
