Active Magnetic Bearing(AMB)levitates rotor by magnetic force without friction,and it can provide active control force to suppress vibration while rotating.Most of vibration suppressing methods need angular speed sensors to obtain rotating speed,but in many occasions,angular speed sensor is difficult to install or is difficult to guarantee reliability.This paper proposed a vibration suppressing strategy without angular speed sensor based on generalized integrator and frequency locked loop(GI-FLL)and phase shift generalized integrator(PSGI).GI-FLL and high-pass filter estimate frequency from control current,PSGI is applied to generate compensating signal.Firstly,model of AMB system expressed by transfer function is established and effect of centrifugal force is analyzed.Then,principle and process of vibration suppressing strategy is introduced.Influence of parameters are analyzed by root locus and bode diagram.Simulation results display the process of frequency estimation and performance of displacement.Experiments are carried on a test rig,results of simulations and experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of proposed vibration suppressing strategy. 展开更多

In this paper,a new algorithm combining the features of bi-direction evolutionary structural optimization(BESO)and reinforcement learning(RL)is proposed for continuum structural topology optimization(STO).In contrast to conventional approaches which only generate a certain quasi-optimal solution,the goal of the combined method is to provide more quasi-optimal solutions for designers such as the idea of generative design.Two key components were adopted.First,besides sensitivity,value function updated by Monte-Carlo reinforcement learning was utilized to measure the importance of each element,which made the solving process convergent and closer to the optimum.Second,ε-greedy policy added a random perturbation to the main search direction so as to extend the search ability.Finally,the quality and diversity of solutions could be guaranteed by controlling the value of compliance as well as Intersection-over-Union(IoU).Results of several 2D and 3D compliance minimization problems,including a geometrically nonlinear case,show that the combined method is capable of generating a group of good and different solutions that satisfy various possible requirements in engineering design within acceptable computation cost. 展开更多

This paper proposes a hybrid decoupled power flow method for balanced power distribution systems with distributed generation sources. The method formulates the power flow equations in active power and reactive power decoupled form with polar coordinates. Second-order terms are included in the active power mismatch iteration, and constant Jacobian and Hessian matrices are used. A hybrid direct and indirect solution technique is used to achieve efficiency and robustness of the algorithm. Active power correction is solved by means of a sparse lower triangular and upper triangular (LU) decomposition algorithm with partial pivoting, and the reactive power correction is solved by means of restarted generalized minimal residual algorithm with an incomplete LU pre-conditioner. Typical distribution generation models and distribution load models are included. The impact of zero-impedance branches is explicitly modeled through reconfiguring of the adjacent branches with impedances. Numerical examples on a sample distribution system with widespread photovoltaic installations are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. 展开更多

Plant endophytic bacteria colonize the internal tissues of plants and interact with plants closely.The past two decades have witnessed the increasing application of next-generation 16S r RNA gene sequencing in the investigation of bacterial communities.However,deciphering plant endo-bacterial communities by this method is difficult because of the co-amplification of massive plant organellar DNAs with bacterial 16S.Here,we designed polymerase chain reaction(PCR) primer sets,including799F/1107R,322F/796R,and 322F-Dr/796Rs(primer pair 322F/796R with a penultimate-base substitution in 322F),that can specifically amplify bacterial 16S from plant total DNAs.We computationally and experimentally evaluated the specificity,coverage,and accuracy of the newly designed primer sets.Both 799F/1107R and 322F-Dr/796Rs produced plant DNA-free 16S amplicon libraries or reduced plant DNA contamination to lower than 5% for the plant materials with extremely-low-abundance bacterial communities.The primer set 322F-A/796R was used through absolute quantitative PCR to quantitate the population size of rice leaf or root endo-bacteriome,which revealed 10^(6)–10^(7) and 10^(9)–10^(10) bacteria per gram fresh weight,respectively.These 16S primer sets and amplification methods enable the simple and inexpensive next-generation sequencing and quantification of plant endo-bacteriome,which will significantly advance studies on the plant-related microbiome. 展开更多

Kerr frequency combs have been attracting significant interest due to their rich physics and broad applications in metrology,microwave photonics,and telecommunications.In this review,we first introduce the fundamental physics,master equations,simulation methods,and dynamic process of Kerr frequency combs.We then analyze the most promising material platform for realizing Kerr frequency combs—silicon nitride on insulator(SNOI)in comparison with other material platforms.Moreover,we discuss the fabrication methods,process optimization as well as tuning and measurement schemes of SNOI-based Kerr frequency combs.Furthermore,we highlight several emerging applications of Kerr frequency combs in metrology,including spectroscopy,ranging,and timing.Finally,we summarize this review and envision the future development of chip-scale Kerr frequency combs from the viewpoint of theory,material platforms,and tuning methods. 展开更多

In this paper, we demonstrate a color tunable white organic light-emitting devices (WOLEDs) based on the two complementary color strategies by introducing two-dimensional (2-D) dual periodic gratings. It is possible to tune the color in a range between cold-white and warmwhite by simply operating the polarization of polarizer in front of the microstructured WOLEDs. Experimental and numerical results demonstrate that color tunability of the WOLEDs comes from the effect of the 2-D dual periodic gratings by exciting the surface plasmon-polariton (SPP) resonance associated with the cathode/organic interface. The electroluminescence (EL) performance of the WOLEDs have also been improved due to the effective light extraction by excitation and out-coupling of the SPP modes, and a 39.65% enhancement of current efficiency has been obtained compared to the conventional planar devices. 展开更多

In this paper, we reviewed the fabrications of functional microcavity lasers in soft materials such as polymer and protein by femtosecond laser processing. High-quality (Q) microdisks with a laser dye (Rhodamine B, RhB) acting as gain medium were fabricated that produced whispering-gallery-mode (WGM) lasing output. We also obtained unidirectional lasing output with a low lasing threshold in a deformed spiral microcavity at room temperature. Photonic-molecule (PM) microlasers were prepared to investigate the interaction and coupling effects of different cavities, and it was found that the distance between the two disks plays an important role in the lasing behaviors. Single-mode lasing was realized from a stacked PM microlaser through Vernier effect. Furthermore we adopted the biocompatible materials, RhB-doped proteins as a host material and fabricated a three-dimensional (3D) WGM microlaser, which operated well both in air and aqueous environment. The sensing of the protein micro- lasers to Na2SO4 concentration was investigated. Our results of fabricating high-Q microlasers with different materials reveal the potential applications of femtosecond laser processing in the areas of integrated optoelectronic and ultrahigh sensitive bio-sensing devices. 展开更多

With the recent development of the metasurface,generating an optical vortex in optical far or near fields is realized in various ways.However,to generate vortices in both the near and far fields simultaneously is still a challenge,although it has great potential in the future compact and versatile photonic system.Here,a bi-channel optical vortex generator in both the near and far fields is proposed and demonstrated within a single metasurface,where the surface plasmon vortex and the far-field optical vortex can be simultancously generated under circularly polarized light.The ability of generating vortices with arbitrary topological charges is experimentally demon-strated,which agrces well with simulations.This approach provides great freedom to integrate different vortex generators in a single device and ofers new opprtunities for integrated optical communications,trapping,and other related fields. 展开更多

In distribution simulation based on High-level architecture(HLA),data distribution management(DDM)is one of HLA services for the purpose of filtering the unnecessary data transferring over the network.DDM admits the sending federates and the receiving federates to express their interest using update regions and subscription regions in a multidimensional routing space.There are several matching algorithms to obtain overlap information between the update regions and subscription regions.When the number of regions increase sharply,the matching process is time consuming.However,the existing algorithms is hard to be parallelized to take advantage of the computing capabilities of multi-core processors.To reduce the computational overhead of region matching,we propose a parallel algorithm based on order relation to accelerate the matching process.The new matching algorithm adopts divide-and-conquer approach to divide the regions into multiple region bound sublists,each of which comprises parts of region bounds.To calculate the intersection inside and amongst the region bound sublists,two matching rules are presented.This approach has good performance since it performs region matching on the sublists parallel and does not require unnecessary comparisons within regions in different sublists.Theoretical analysis has been carried out for the proposed algorithm and experimental result shows that the proposed algorithm has better performance than major existing DDM matching algorithms. 展开更多

E-commerce has grown extraordinarily since the emergence of the internet, and many types of services are employed to accelerate this process. Service quality and productivity are two critical indicators to evaluate the competitiveness of e-commerce companies. Deciding which provision mode of e-commerce services (buy, sell, or self-provide) to adopt is a key operational strategy issue. This paper investigates the conditions and limitations of e-commerce services' optimal supply modes, and proposes a cost oriented infra-marginal model where service demand is considered an exogenous variable due to its non-elastic and unprofitable characteristics. By analyzing the main impact factors of this model, this paper infers provision mode selection strategies, which are determined by four factors: transaction cost, service price, service demand, and competitive advantages. Decision trees are derived from these strategies to help e-commerce companies make appropriate decisions. Finally, the proposed model's feasibility is verified by two case studies. 展开更多
