An electrochemical biosensing platform was developed based on glucose oxidase(GOx)/Fe3O4-reduced graphene oxide(Fe3O4-RGO) nanosheets loaded on the magnetic glassy carbon electrode(MGCE).With the advantages of the magnetism, conductivity and biocompatibility of the Fe3O4-RGO nanosheets, the nanocomposites could be facilely adhered to the electrode surface by magnetically controllable assembling and beneficial to achieve the direct redox reactions and electrocatalytic behaviors of GOx immobilized into the nanocomposites. The biosensor exhibited good electrocatalytic activity, high sensitivity and stability. The current response is linear over glucose concentration ranging from 0.05 to 1.5 m M with a low detection limit of0.15 μM. Meanwhile, validation of the applicability of the biosensor was carried out by determining glucose in serum samples. The proposed protocol is simple, inexpensive and convenient, which shows great potential in biosensing application. 展开更多

Facing the trend of increasing population,how to increase maize grain yield is a very important issue to ensure food security.In this study,28 nationally approved maize hybrids were evaluated across 24 different climatic conditions for two consecutive years(2018-2019).The purpose of this study was to select high-yield with stable genotypes and identify important agronomic traits for maize breeding program improvement.The results of this study showed that the genotypeenvironment interaction effects of the 12 evaluated agronomic traits was highly significant(P<0.001).We introduced a novel multi-trait genotype-ideotype distance index(MGIDI)to select genotypes based on multiple agronomic traits.The selection process exhibited by this method is unique and easy to understand,so the MGIDI index will have more and more important applications in future multi-environment trials(METs)research.The genotypes selected by the MGIDI index were G22,G10,G12 and G1 as the high yielding and stable genotypes.The parents of these selected genotypes have the ability to play a greater role as the basic germplasm in the breeding process.A new form of genotype(G)main effects and genotype(G)-by-environment(E)interaction(GGE)technician,genotypeyieldtrait(GYT)biplot,based on multiple traits for genotypes selection was also applied in this study.The GYT biplot ranked genotypes by combining grain yield with other evaluated agronomic traits,and displayed the distribution of their traits,namely strengths and weaknesses. 展开更多

Engineering biomimetic nanosystem targeting multiple tumor radioresistance hallmarks for enhanced radiotherapy

Tumor cells establish a robust self-defense system characterized by hypoxia,antioxidant overexpression,DNA damage repair,and so forth to resist radiotherapy.Targeting one of these features is insufficient to overcome radioresistance due to the feedback mechanisms initiated by tumor cells under radiotherapy.Therefore,we herein developed an engineering biomimetic nanosystem(M@HHPt)masked with tumor cell membranes and loaded with a hybridized protein-based nanoparticle carrying oxygens(O_(2))and cisplatin prodrugs(Pt(Ⅳ))to target multiple tumor radioresistance hallmarks for enhanced radiotherapy.After administration,M@HHPt actively targeted and smoothly accumulated in tumor cells by virtue of its innate homing abilities to realize efficient co-delivery of O_(2)and Pt(Ⅳ).O_(2)introduction induced hypoxia alleviation cooperated with Pt(Ⅳ)reduction caused glutathione consumption greatly amplified radiotherapy-ignited cellular oxidative stress.Moreover,the released cisplatin effectively hindered DNA damage repair by crosslinking with radiotherapy-produced DNA fragments.Consequently,M@HHPt-sensitized radiotherapy significantly suppressed the proliferation of lung cancer H1975 cells with an extremely high sensitizer enhancement ratio of 1.91 and the progression of H1975 tumor models with an excellent tumor inhibition rate of 94.7%.Overall,this work provided a feasible strategy for tumor radiosensitization by overcoming multiple radioresistance mechanisms. 展开更多

Synchronously reducing/self-assembling strategy on Zn substrate was designed to fabricate large-area cation-doped hydrated V_(2)O_(5)/multi-walled carbon nanotube(D-HVO/MWCNT)composite films.Interestingly,the Zn^(2+)ions are simultaneously doped in hydrated V_(2)O_(5) during the assembly process,which will be beneficial to the high electrochemical performance of hydrated V_(2)O_(5).By further combining 3D conductive MWCNT network,the freestanding D-HVO/MWCNT composite films display high capacity,excellent rate capability,and remarkable long-term cycling performance(up to 10,000 cycles with a high capacity retention of 98.5%).Moreover,owing to the high conductivity and flexibility of the D-HVO/MWCNT composite films,the softpackaged aqueous zinc-ion batteries(ZIBs)were constructed based on such composite films.The devices exhibit stable electrochemical performance even under different bending states.Therefore,such a strategy provides a promising route to achieve large-area carbon and metal oxides-based composite films with high performance and good flexibility. 展开更多
