Feature aided design of estimators and guidance laws can significantly improve the interception performance of the terminal guidance system. The achieved enhancement can be effectively assessed by observability analysis methods. This paper first analyzes and discusses the existing assessment methods in a typical endgame scenario with target orientation observations. To get over their deficiencies, a novel singular value decomposition(SVD) method is proposed. Employing both theoretical analysis and numerical simulation, the proposed method can represent the degree of state observability which is enhanced by integrating target features more completely and quantitatively. 展开更多

Miss distance is a critical parameter of assessing the performance for highly maneuvering targets interception(HMTI). In a realistic terminal guidance system, the control of pursuer depends on the estimate of unknown state, thus the miss distance becomes a random variable with a prior unknown distribution. Currently, such a distribution is mainly evaluated by the method of Monte Carlo simulation. In this paper, by integrating the estimation error model of zero-effort miss distance(ZEM) obtained by our previous work, an analytic method for solving the distribution of miss distance is proposed, in which the system is presumed to use a bang-bang control strategy. By comparing with the results of Monte Carlo simulations under four different types of disturbances(maneuvers), the correctness of the proposed method is validated. Results of this paper provide a powerful tool for the design, analysis and performance evaluation of guidance system. 展开更多

Due to the noise-corrupted measurement and the fact that not all the state variables can be directly measured, the miss distance becomes a random variable with a priori unknown distribution. Currently, such a distribution is mainly evaluated by the method of Monte Carlo simulation. In this paper, an analytic approach is obtained in discrete-time controlled system with noise-corrupted state information. The system is subject to a bang-bang control strategy. In this study,we provide an overview of recent advances in multisensor multitarget tracking based on the random finite set(RFS)approach.The fusion that plays a fundamental role in multisensor filtering is classified into data-level multitarget measurement fusion and estimate-level multitarget density fusion,which share and fuse local measurements and posterior densities between sensors,respectively.Important properties of each fusion rule including the optimality and sub-optimality are presented.In particulax,two robust multitarget density-averaging approaches,arithmetic-and geometric-average fusion,are addressed in detail for various RFSs.Relevant research topics and remaining challenges are highlighted. 展开更多

The qualification of physicians is a key factor in controlling type 1 diabetes(T1 D) since they provide crucial information to their patients about self-management. To investigate whether Chinese physicians' medical strategies influence the control of T1 D in their patients, we designed a questionnaire to survey Chinese physicians, which covered their diagnosis and patient-management strategies for T1 D. A total of 442 completed questionnaires were received from 35 public hospitals in 12 cities. The results showed Chinese physicians mainly diagnosed T1 D based on the clinical features and islet dysfunction. One-third of physicians in this study still prescribed non-basal-bolus insulin regimens to their T1 D patients. More than 80% of the doctors prescribed alpha-glucosidase inhibitors as adjunctive therapy, in addition to insulin therapy. Moreover, most of the physicians in China did not pay attention to identify coexistent autoimmune diseases. T1 D patients in China were not armed with self-management knowledge and skills, which should be provided by their doctors. One of the circumstances leading to insufficient disease control in Chinese T1 D patients is the ineffective therapeutic strategy prescribed by their physicians. We need to promote knowledge of efficient strategies among physicians in China to achieve better disease control in Chinese T1 D patients in the future. 展开更多

Mode decision-maker is a critical component in the logic-based Integrated Estimation and Guidance(IEG) system. For the best possible estimation and guidance performance, the mode decision delay of the mode decision-maker should be limited to a range as small as possible. This paper presents a numerical method for computing the maximal admissible mode decision delay that varies with time-to-go. Particular attention has been paid to highly maneuvering target interception in terminal guidance. The results of this research offer useful guidelines for the design of the mode decision-maker in IEG systems. 展开更多

Inspired by the compound eyes of insects,many multi-aperture optical imaging systems have been proposed to improve the imaging quality,e.g.,to yield a high-resolution image or an image with a large field-ofview.Previous research has reviewed existing multi-aperture optical imaging systems,but few papers emphasize the light field acquisition model which is essential to bridge the gap between configuration design and application.In this paper,we review typical multi-aperture optical imaging systems(i.e.,artificial compound eye,light field camera,and camera array),and then summarize general mathematical light field acquisition models for different configurations.These mathematical models provide methods for calculating the key indexes of a specific multiaperture optical imaging system,such as the field-of-view and sub-image overlap ratio.The mathematical tools simplify the quantitative design and evaluation of imaging systems for researchers. 展开更多
