The Educational Adaptive-optics Solar Telescope(EAST)at the Shanghai Astronomy Museum has been running routine astronomical observations since 2021.It is a 65-cm-aperture Gregorian solar telescope for scientific education,outreach,and research.The telescope system is designed in an“open”format so that the solar tower architecture can be integrated with it,and visitors can watch the observations live from inside the tower.Equipped with adaptive optics,a high-resolution imaging system,and an integral field unit spectro-imaging system,this telescope can obtain high-resolution solar images in the TiO and Hαbands,and perform spectral image reconstruction using 400 optical fibers at selected wavelengths.It can be used not only in public education and scientific outreach but also in solar physics research. 展开更多

While boron nitride(BN) is widely recognized as the most promising thermally conductive filler for rapidly developing high-power electronic devices due to its excellent thermal conductivity and dielectric properties,a great challenge is the poor vertical thermal conductivity when embedded in composites owing to the poor interracial interaction causing severe phonon scattering.Here,we report a novel surface modification strategy called the "self-modified nanointerface" using BN nanocrystals(BNNCs) to efficiently link the interface between BN and the polymer matrix.Combining with ice-press assembly method,an only 25 wt% BNembedded composite film can not only possess an in-plane thermal conductivity of 20.3 W m-1K-1but also,more importantly,achieve a through-plane thermal conductivity as high as 21.3 W m-1K-1,which is more than twice the reported maximum due to the ideal phonon spectrum matching between BNNCs and BN fillers,the strong interaction between the self-modified fillers and polymer matrix,as well as ladder-structured BN skeleton.The excellent thermal conductivity has been verified by theoretical calculations and the heat dissipation of a CPU.This study provides an innovative design principle to tailor composite interfaces and opens up a new path to develop high-performance composites. 展开更多

Integrating deformable mirrors within the optical train of an adaptive telescope was one of the major innovations in astronomical observation technology,distinguished by its high optical throughput,reduced optical surfaces,and the incorporation of the deformable mirror.Typically,voice-coil actuators are used,which require additional position sensors,internal control electronics,and cooling systems,leading to a very complex structure.Piezoelectric deformable secondary mirror technologies were proposed to overcome these problems.Recently,a high-order piezoelectric deformable secondary mirror has been developed and installed on the 1.8-m telescope at Lijiang Observatory in China to make it an adaptive telescope.The system consists of a 241-actuator piezoelectric deformable secondary mirror,a 192-sub-aperture Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor,and a multi-core-based real-time controller.The actuator spacing of the PDSM measures 19.3 mm,equivalent to approximately 12.6 cm when mapped onto the primary mirror,significantly less than the voicecoil-based adaptive telescopes such as LBT,Magellan and VLT.As a result,stellar images with Strehl ratios above 0.49 in the R band have been obtained.To our knowledge,these are the highest R band images captured by an adaptive telescope with deformable secondary mirrors.Here,we report the system description and on-sky performance of this adaptive telescope. 展开更多

Solar stills are considered an effective method to solve the scarcity of drinkable water.However,it is still missing a way to forecast its production.Herein,it is proposed that a convenient forecasting model which just needs to input the conventional weather forecasting data.The model is established by using machine learning methods of random forest and optimized by Bayesian algorithm.The required data to train the model are obtained from daily measurements lasting9 months.To validate the accuracy model,the determination coefficients of two types of solar stills are calculated as 0.935and 0.929,respectively,which are much higher than the value of both multiple linear regression(0.767)and the traditional models(0.829 and 0.847).Moreover,by applying the model,we predicted the freshwater production of four cities in China.The predicted production is approved to be reliable by a high value of correlation(0.868)between the predicted production and the solar insolation.With the help of the forecasting model,it would greatly promote the global application of solar stills. 展开更多

目的:探讨阴茎折断的诊断和治疗。方法:1993年6月至2017年5月,我院共收治阴茎折断46例,平均年龄33.5岁(25~42岁),病程平均3.45 h(1~10h)。性交时发生41例,手淫4例,俯卧睡觉时发生1例。均无排尿困难及尿道口出血,4例发生了血尿,血肿局限... 目的:探讨阴茎折断的诊断和治疗。方法:1993年6月至2017年5月,我院共收治阴茎折断46例,平均年龄33.5岁(25~42岁),病程平均3.45 h(1~10h)。性交时发生41例,手淫4例,俯卧睡觉时发生1例。均无排尿困难及尿道口出血,4例发生了血尿,血肿局限于阴茎。45例在腰麻下行急诊手术治疗,1例局部麻醉下手术,16例采用冠状沟近侧环行切口,30例根据B超显示的破裂位置采用局部纵形纵切口。术中发现白膜破口平均1.31 cm(0.5~2.5 cm),6例采用丝线"8"字缝合白膜裂口,18例改用3-0可吸收线缝合白膜。常规放置皮片或负压引流管,留置导尿,早期使用纱布加压包扎,近年使用弹力绷带加压包扎3~5d,应用抗生素预防感染。术后1周拆线并拔除导尿管。结果:46例均行急诊手术修补,术后环形脱套切口的16例患者中,14例短期内发生了包皮水肿,而采取局部切口的患者则没有任何并发症,远期随访到的28例阴茎勃起功能均保持良好,无痛性勃起,能维持满意性交。结论:大多数阴茎折断局部纵行的小切口足以保证手术顺利完成,损伤小,不破坏血供和淋巴回流,不易发生手术并发症,相比环形脱套切口,优势明显,但如需探查尿道海绵体,应采用冠状沟下方的环形脱套式切口。 展开更多

Phase change materials(PCMs)can be used for efficient thermal energy harvesting,which has great potential for cost-effective thermal management and energy storage.However,the low intrinsic thermal conductivity of polymeric PCMs is a bottleneck for fast and efficient heat harvesting.Simultaneously,it is also a challenge to achieve a high thermal conductivity for phase change nanocomposites at low filler loading.Although constructing a three-dimensional(3D)thermally conductive network within PCMs can address these problems,the anisotropy of the 3D framework usually leads to poor thermal conductivity in the direction perpendicular to the alignment of fillers.Inspired by the interlaced structure of spider webs in nature,this study reports a new strategy for fabricating highly thermally conductive phase change composites(sw-GS/PW)with a 3D spider web(sw)-like structured graphene skeleton(GS)by hydrothermal reaction,radial freeze-casting and vacuum impregnation in paraffin wax(PW).The results show that the sw-GS hardly affected the phase transformation behavior of PW at low loading.Especially,sw-GS/PW exhibits both high cross-plane and in-plane thermal conductivity enhancements of~1260%and~840%,respectively,at an ultra-low filler loading of 2.25 vol.%.The thermal infrared results also demonstrate that sw-GS/PW possessed promising applications in battery thermal management. 展开更多

For the public having a better understanding of solar activities,the Educational Adaptive-optics Solar Telescope(EAST)was built in July 2021 and is located at the Shanghai Astronomy Museum.The EAST consists of a 65 cm aperture solar telescope with a 177-element adaptive optics system and two-channel high resolution imaging system at the Hαand TiO bands,in addition to three full disk solar telescopes at CaK,Hαand TiO bands equipped on the tube of the main telescope.In this paper,the configuration of the EAST is described.Its performance and on-sky observational results are presented.The EAST,to our knowledge,is the most advanced solar telescope for the popularization of science in the world.Due to its excellent performance,the data acquired by the EAST can also be used for research on solar physics and space weather prediction. 展开更多

The first generation solar adaptive optics (AO) system, which consists of a fine tracking loop with a tip-tilt mirror (TTM) and a correlation tracker, and a high-order correction loop with a 37-element deformable mirror (DM), a correlating Shack-Hartmann (SH) wavefront sensor (WFS) based on the ab- solute difference algorithm and a real time controller (RTC), has been developed and installed at the 1-m New Vacuum Solar Telescope (NVST) that is part of Fuxian Solar Observatory (FSO). Compared with the 37-element solar AO system developed for the 26-cm Solar Fine Structure Telescope, administered by Yunnan Astronomical Observatories, this AO system has two updates: one is the subaperture arrangement of the WFS changed from square to hexagon; the other is the high speed camera of the WFS and the corre- sponding real time controller. The WFS can be operated at a frame rate of 2100 Hz and the error correction bandwidth can exceed 100 Hz. After AO correction, the averaged residual image motion and the averaged RMS wavefront error are reduced to 0.06" and 45 nm, respectively. The results of on-sky testing obser- vations demonstrate better contrast and finer structures of the images taken with AO than those without AO. 展开更多

We investigate the electrical conductivity and thermal conductivity of polycrystalline gold nanofilms,with thicknesses ranging from 40.5nm to 115.8 nm,and identify a thickness-dependent electrical conductivity,which can be explained via the Mayadas and Shatzkes(MS)theory.At the same time,a suppressed thermal conductivity is observed,as compared to that found in the bulk material,together with a weak thickness effect.We compare the thermal conductivity of suspended and supported gold films,finding that the supporting substrate can effectively suppress the in-plane thermal conductivity of the polycrystalline gold nanofilms.Our results indicate that grain boundary scattering and substrate scattering can affect electron and phonon transport in polycrystalline metallic systems. 展开更多

Objective:Neuroendocrine neoplasms(NENs)are relatively rare and heterogeneous malignancies with two major subtypes:low-grade neuroendocrine tumor(NET)and high-grade neuroendocrine carcinoma(NEC).Comprehensive molecular characterization of NENs is needed to refine our understanding of the biological underpinnings of different NEN subtypes and to predict disease progression more accurately.Methods:We performed whole-exome sequencing(WES)of NEN samples from 49 patients(25 NETs and 24 NECs)arising from the stomach,intestines or lung.Clinicopathologic features were assessed and associated with molecular events.Results:NENs generally harbor a low mutation burden,with TP53 being the top mutated gene found in 31%of patients.Consistent with other studies,p53 signaling pathway dysfunction is significantly enriched in NECs compared to NETs(P<0.01).Other than TP53,tissue type-specific mutation profiles of NENs were observed in our cohort compared to those reported in pancreatic NETs.Importantly,we observed significant genomic instability,with increased copy number alterations observed across the NEN genome,which was more profound in NECs and independently correlated with poor overall survival(OS)(P<0.001).NECs could be further stratified into two molecular subtypes based on OS(P<0.001)and the chromosomal instability score(CIS).Interestingly,we discovered that the gain of whole chromosome 5 occurred at the early stage of NEN development,followed by the loss of 5 q exclusively in NECs(P<0.001).Conclusions:These findings provide novel insights into the molecular characteristics of NENs and highlight the association of genomic stability with clinical outcomes. 展开更多

Understanding thermal transport at the submicron scale is crucial for engineering applications,especially in the thermal management of electronics and tailoring the thermal conductivity of thermoelectric materials.At the submicron scale,the macroscopic heat diffusion equation is no longer valid and the phonon Boltzmann transport equation(BTE)becomes the governing equation for thermal transport.However,previous thermal simulations based on the phonon BTE have two main limitations:relying on empirical parameters and prohibitive computational costs.Therefore,the phonon BTE is commonly used for qualitatively studying the non-Fourier thermal transport phenomena of toy problems.In this work,we demonstrate an ultra-efficient and parameter-free computational method of the phonon BTE to achieve quantitatively accurate thermal simulation for realistic materials and devices.By properly integrating the phonon properties from first-principles calculations,our method does not rely on empirical material properties input.It can be generally applicable for different materials and the predicted results can match well with experimental results.Moreover,by developing a suitable ensemble of advanced numerical algorithms,our method exhibits superior numerical efficiency.The full-scale(from ballistic to diffusive)thermal simulation of a 3-dimensional fin field-effect transistor with 13 million degrees of freedom,which is prohibitive for existing phonon BTE solvers even on supercomputers,can now be completed within two hours on a single personal computer.Our method makes it possible to achieve the predictive design of realistic nanostructures for the desired thermal conductivity.It also enables accurately resolving the temperature profiles at the transistor level,which helps in better understanding the self-heating effect of electronics. 展开更多

Assembly process documents record the designers'intention or knowledge.However,common knowl-edge extraction methods are not well suitable for assembly process documents,because of its tabular form and unstructured natural language texts.In this paper,an assembly semantic entity recognition and relation con-struction method oriented to assembly process documents is proposed.First,the assembly process sentences are extracted from the table through concerned region recognition and cell division,and they will be stored as a key-value object file.Then,the semantic entities in the sentence are identified through the sequence tagging model based on the specific attention mechanism for assembly operation type.The syntactic rules are designed for realizing automatic construction of relation between entities.Finally,by using the self-constructed corpus,it is proved that the sequence tagging model in the proposed method performs better than the mainstream named entity recognition model when handling assembly process design language.The effectiveness of the proposed method is also analyzed through the simulation experiment in the small-scale real scene,compared with manual method.The results show that the proposed method can help designers accumulate knowledge automatically and efficiently. 展开更多

Ground-layer adaptive optics(GLAO)has shown its potential for use in solar observation owing to its wide field-of-view(FOV)correction.A high-order GLAO system that consists of a multiple direction Shack-Hartmann wavefront sensor(WFS),a realtime controller with a multi-CPU processor,and a 151-element deformable mirror was developed for the 1-m New Vacuum Solar Telescope at Yunnan Observatories,Chinese Academy of Sciences.A hexagonal microlens with 9×8 subapertures is employed in the WFS.The detection FOV is 42′′×37′′,in which 9(3×3)guide regions are extracted for multiple direction wavefront sensing with a frame rate of up to 2200 Hz.To our knowledge,this is the first professional solar GLAO system used as a regularly operating instrument for scientific observations.Its installation and adjustment were performed in the summer of 2021.In this article,a detailed account of the GLAO system and its first light results and a comprehensive analysis of the performance of the GLAO system are provided.The results show that this system can effectively improve the imaging quality after compensating for the wavefront aberration due to ground-layer turbulence. 展开更多
