Ascending aorta dilatation reduces the influence of elevated pulse pressure on left ventricular hypertrophy:findings from a Chinese elderly hypertensive population

OBJECTIVE To determine the role of ascending aorta dilatation in the relationship between pulse pressure(PP)and left ventricular(LV)hypertrophy.METHODS A total of 1556 Chinese elderly hypertensive patients were retrospectively studied.Transthoracic echocardiography was used to obtain the aortic and cardiac structure measurements.In addition,brachial blood pressure was measured,and total arterial compliance,systemic vascular resistance,arterial elastance,and end-systolic LV elastance were calculated.The participants were divided into four groups according to the status of ascending aortic diameter and PP.RESULTS LV mass index increased in succession in the four groups,i.e.,the group with the normal aorta and lower PP,with the normal aorta and higher PP,with aortic dilatation and lower PP,and with aortic dilatation and higher PP(Ptrend<0.001).Total arterial compliance−1,arterial elastance,and end-systolic LV elastance were slightly higher in the individuals with normal aorta compared to those with aortic dilatation,regardless of PP being lower or higher(P<0.01).Compared to the group with the normal aorta and lower PP,individuals with aortic dilatation had a significantly increased multivariable adjusted risk of LV hypertrophy,and higher PP further exacerbated this risk[aortic dilatation with lower PP(OR=1.75,95%CI:1.01–3.04)and aortic dilatation with higher PP(OR=3.42,95%CI:2.03–5.77)].In the relation between PP and LV mass index(β=0.095,P<0.001),-41.3%of the total effect was attributable to mediation by ascending aortic diameter(P<0.0001).CONCLUSIONS In Chinese elderly patients with hypertension,ascending aorta dilatation could reduce the influence of elevated PP on LV hypertrophy. 展开更多

锂离子电池在高电压下会导致严重的电解液分解以及不稳定的正极与电解质界面问题,严重制约高电压正极材料的商业化.粘结剂不仅可以将正极活性材料和导电炭紧密粘结在集流体上,还对构建电解质与正极之间的多尺度相容性界面起积极作用,因... 锂离子电池在高电压下会导致严重的电解液分解以及不稳定的正极与电解质界面问题,严重制约高电压正极材料的商业化.粘结剂不仅可以将正极活性材料和导电炭紧密粘结在集流体上,还对构建电解质与正极之间的多尺度相容性界面起积极作用,因此,粘结剂的优化可以有效解决上述难题.本文提出了高电压锂离子电池正极粘结剂需具备的必要条件,如:粘结性能和机械性能优异,具有出色的电化学稳定性和热力学稳定性以及良好的离子和电子传输能力等.综述了近些年来高电压正极粘结剂的研究及发展现状,通过天然粘结剂和合成粘结剂对目前已报道的高电压粘结剂进行了评述,介绍了各种粘结剂对电极的粘结性能和包覆以及对锂离子电池性能的影响机制,重点阐述了粘结剂分子结构中的极性基团与活性物质间的相互作用,如氢键和离子-偶极相互作用,并讨论了设计开发高电压正极粘结剂的途径以及展望了高电压正极粘结剂的发展前景. 展开更多

锂硫电池由于其超高理论能量密度(2567 Wh·kg^−1),较低的成本,以及环境友好性,被视为下一代储能设备的有力竞争者之一.鉴于粘结剂在稳定硫正极结构和抑制多硫化物穿梭方面可发挥重要作用,发展高性能硫正极粘结剂是改善锂硫电池性... 锂硫电池由于其超高理论能量密度(2567 Wh·kg^−1),较低的成本,以及环境友好性,被视为下一代储能设备的有力竞争者之一.鉴于粘结剂在稳定硫正极结构和抑制多硫化物穿梭方面可发挥重要作用,发展高性能硫正极粘结剂是改善锂硫电池性能的有效途径之一.本文研究了以果胶作为锂硫电池正极粘结剂的可行性.研究表明,采用果胶作为粘结剂的锂硫电池在电化学循环测试中首次放电比容量可达1210.6 mAh·g^−1,并且在200次循环后仍有837.4 mAh·g^−1的放电比容量,明显优于羧甲基纤维素钠-丁苯橡胶复合粘结剂的电池性能.经研究证实果胶粘结剂性能优良的原因在于其可以有效确保多壁碳纳米管/硫复合正极的结构稳定性并抑制多硫化物的穿梭. 展开更多

A series of copolymers of thiazoloisoindigo (Tzll) with different chalcogenophene trimers were synthesized to systematicllyinvestigate the chalcogen effect on their charge transport propertes.When only the middlethiophene ring of terthiphene(T-T-T)is replaced byheavier chalcogenophenes,a preference(expressed by the ratio of μe/μh)towards electron transport was observed descending from T-T-Tto T-Se-Tthen to T-Te-T(Se and Te stand for selenophene and tellurophene,respectively).On the other hand,with the increased number of heavierchalcogenophenes,a preference toward hole transport was observed descending from Se-T-Se to Se-Se-se then to Se-Te-Se.This phenomenon iswellexplained by the balance between the aromatic resonance energy of the chalcogenophenes and the electronegativity of the chalcogens.Specifically,P(TZll-T-Se-T)displayed relatively balanced ambipolar property(μh^(max)andμe^(max) of 3.77 and 1.59 cm^(2)·v^(-1)·s^(-1)with aμe/μh of 0.42).while P(Tll-Se-Te-Se)exhibited the best preference to hole transfer with a u.u,of 0.09.P(Tzll-T-Te-T)exhibited the best preference to electrontransfer with aμe/μl,of 16 and theμe^(max)of 0.64 cm^(2)·v^(-).s^(-1)which is the highest electron mobility among the known conjugated polymerscontaining tellurophenes. 展开更多
