Modern medical researches require standard bio-sample acquired from structured biobank.The mechanism of Intel-biobank data-sharing,which is vital in modern biobank construction,have not been established in China.This ...Modern medical researches require standard bio-sample acquired from structured biobank.The mechanism of Intel-biobank data-sharing,which is vital in modern biobank construction,have not been established in China.This survey was conducted using questionnaires and interview,which mainly focused on the following aspects of intel-biobank data-sharing:present situation,informed consent,additional authorization and expected adverse consequences.The research object of this study was directed to 114 staff members or managers from 34 facilities.We found that 13 biobankers form 10 facilities said they had been achieved data sharing between different biobank,39 biobankers from 9 facilities indicated that they were planning data sharing,62 from the rest 15 facilities have not planned inter-biobank data sharing yet.展开更多
In addition to the lens,tumors can oceur in almost all tissues of the eye.Lacking of effective biomarkers makes diagnosis of ocular tumors difficult.Biobanks are important resources for biomarker discovery and assay d...In addition to the lens,tumors can oceur in almost all tissues of the eye.Lacking of effective biomarkers makes diagnosis of ocular tumors difficult.Biobanks are important resources for biomarker discovery and assay development.To support the validation of novel biomarkers and assays,we established a biobank to collect body fluids and tissue and associate data from subjects with ocular tumor diseases.A standard operating procedure of collection,transportation,processing and preservation of human samples according to the experience of biobanks domestic and foreign have been established.Associated data had been collected and statistical analysis of the existing data had been performed.Cooperation between the eye tumor biobank and the Department of Ophthalmology,Xiangya Hospital,Central South University has been established,and various samples can be obtained.Currently,708 samples are available from 78 subjects with 11 types of benign tumors and 12 types of malignant tumors,including hemangioma,schwannoma,retinoblastoma,lymphoma,basal cell carcinoma,melanoma,sarcomas,ect.展开更多
