Mobile edge computing has shown its potential in serving emerging latency-sensitive mobile applications in ultra-dense 5G networks via offloading computation workloads from the remote cloud data center to the nearby network edge.However,current computation offloading studies in the heterogeneous edge environment face multifaceted challenges:Dependencies among computational tasks,resource competition among multiple users,and diverse long-term objectives.Mobile applications typically consist of several functionalities,and one huge category of the applications can be viewed as a series of sequential tasks.In this study,we first proposed a novel multiuser computation offloading framework for long-term sequential tasks.Then,we presented a comprehensive analysis of the task offloading process in the framework and formally defined the multiuser sequential task offloading problem.Moreover,we decoupled the long-term offloading problem into multiple single time slot offloading problems and proposed a novel adaptive method to solve them.We further showed the substantial performance advantage of our proposed method on the basis of extensive experiments. 展开更多

For a series of Al-0.34/%Mg-1.05/%Si-0.08/%Cu alloys, the effects of pre-treatment on natural aging, bake hardening response and plasticity were investigated using Vickers hardness test and tensile test. Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) analysis was conducted to reveal corresponding precipitation mechanisms. The results showed that pre-straining and pre-aging alone couldn't completely suppress natural aging and improve bake hardening response simultaneously. The sensitivity of the pre-straining and pre-aging on the mechanical properties was evaluated. It was found that pre-aging was the main factor which greatly improved bake hardening response and pre-treatment had a weak influence on plasticity in pre-treated samples. DSC analysis showed that the dissolution trough of clusters disappeared in pre-treated samples, both β”and β' precipitation peak shifted to lower temperature and were reduced in pre-strained and pre-aged samples. It was concluded that the formation of Mg/Si clusters was replaced by the accelerated precipitation ofβ” andβ' phases, which caused the suppression of natural aging and the improvement of bake hardening response (BHR). 展开更多

Restricted-access materials (RAMs) have found their broad application in sample pretreatment of bioanalysis. Boronate affinity (BA) adsorption is a very efficient and facile method for isolation and enrichment of cis-diol containing biomolecules which are a large important group compounds in biosystems. However, preparation of BA-RAMs are rarely reported to date. In this study, a novel BA-RAM with external surface comprised of hydrophilic bottlebrush polymers was prepared exploiting the excellent capability of the bottlebrush polymers for protein exclusion. A diblock copolymer poly(3- acrylamidophenylboronic acid)-block-poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) (PAAPBA-b-PHEMA) was first grafted from the silica surface via surface-initiated reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer polymerization (SI-RAFT), and poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (PNIPAAm) was then grafted from the PHEMA via surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization (SI-ATRP) to yield the BA-RAM. The BA- RAM exhibits high selectivity to cis-diol containing small molecules and has good capability to exclude proteins. Its practical application in bioanalysis was tested by pretreatment of serum sample for analysis of catecholamines with high recoveries and good precision. The preparation strategy for the BA-RAM is very versatile and is easy to be expanded to other modes of RAMs. 展开更多
