The surface pressure-area (pi -A) isotherm of Schiff base aluminium (III), tris (2-hydroxy-5-nitro-N-dodecyl-benzylideneaminato) aluminium (III) (denoted as Al(TAl2)(3)), on pure water subphase was investigated. The molecular area, 0.48 nm(2), is one-third of expected value that indicated the aggregation took place. The Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films of Al(TAl2), was transferred and characterized. In this work, the self-assembled monolayer of Schiff base was first investigated using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS). The complexation Of Cu2+ with the Schiff base: was also detected with EIS method. The approximate linear relationship between Cu2+ and the reaction resistance (R-r) was observed. All the results suggest that the electrochemical property of Schiff base could be studied conveniently by means of forming self-assembled monolayer. 展开更多

A highly selective nitric oxide(NO) sensor is fabricated and applied to devise an enhanced flow injection analysis(FIA) system for S-nitrosothiols(RSNOs) measurement in biological samples.The NO sensor is prepared using a polytetrafluoroethylene(PTFE) gas-permeable membrane loaded with Teflon AF? solution,a copolymer of tetrafluoroethylene and 2,2-bis(trifluoroethylene)-4,5-difluoro -l,3-dioxole,to improve selectivity.This method is much simpler and possesses good performance over a wide range of RSNOs concentrations.Standard deviation for three parallel measurements of blood plasma is 4.0%.The use of the gas sensing configuration as the detector enhances selectivity of the FIA measurement vs.using less selective electrochemical detectors that do not use PTFE/Teflon type outer membranes. 展开更多
