A laser lap welding process for zinc-coated steel has a well-known unsolved problem-porosity formation. The boiling temperature of coated zinc is lower than the melting temperature of the base metal, which is steel. In the autogenous laser welding, the zinc vapor generates from the lapped surfaces expels the molten pool and the expulsion causes numerous weld defects, such as spatters and blow holes on the weld surface and porosity inside the welds. The laser-arc hybrid welding was suggested as an alternative method for the laser lap welding because the arc can preheat or post-beat the weldment according to the arrangement of the laser beam and the arc. CO2 laser-micro plasma hybrid welding was applied to the lap welding of zinc-coated steel with zero-gap. The relationships among the weld quality and process parameters of the laser-arc arrangement, and the laser-arc interspacing distance and arc current were investigated using a full-factorial experimental design. The effect of laser-arc arrangement is dominant because the leading plasma arc partially melts the upper steel sheets and vaporizes or oxidizes the coated zinc on the lapped surfaces. Compared with the result from the laser-TIG hybrid welding, the heat input from arc can be reduced by 40%. 展开更多

In present work,the vertically aligned Ni S nano-flakes composed thin film is prepared by anionic exchange process in which hydrothermally prepared Ni(OH)2is used as a parent thin film and Na2S as a sulfide ion source.This synthesis process produced fully transformed and shape-controlled nano-flakes of Ni S from nano-flowers of Ni(OH)2.The electrochemical supercapacitor properties of Ni S electrode are studied with cyclic voltammetry(CV),galvonostatic charge discharge(GCD)and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)techniques.Highly porous surface area(85 m^2/g)of Ni S nano-flakes makes large material contribution in electrochemical reaction stretching specific capacitance(Cs)of 880 F/g at scan rate of 5 m V/s and 90%electrochemical stability up to 4000 CV cycles in 2 M KOH electrolyte.Further,the flexible solid-state symmetric supercapacitor device(Ni S/PVA–Li ClO4/Ni S)has been fabricated using Ni S electrodes with polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)–lithium perchlorate(Li ClO4)gel electrolyte.The Ni S/PVA–Li ClO4/Ni S device exhibits specific capacitance of 56 F/g with specific energy of 14.98 Wh/kg and excellent cycling stability after 2000 cycles.In addition,the Ni S/PVA–Li ClO4/Ni S device demonstrates illumination of red light emitting diode(LED)for 60 s,which confirms the practical applicability of Ni S/PVA–Li ClO4/Ni S device in energy storage. 展开更多

Transparent conducting antimony doped tin oxide (Sb:SnO2) thin films have been deposited onto pre- heated glass substrates using a spray pyrolysis technique by varying the quantity of spraying solution. The structural, morphological, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, optical, photoluminescence and electrical properties of these films have been studied. It is found that the films are polycrystalline in nature with a tetragonal crystal structure having orientation along the (211) and (112) planes. Polyhedrons like grains appear in the FE-SEM images. The average grain size increases with increasing spraying quantity. The compositional analysis and electronic behaviour of Sb:SnO2 thin films were studied using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The binding energy of Sn3ds/2 for all samples shows the Sn^4+ bonding state from SnO2. An intensive violet luminescence peak near 395 nm is observed at room temperature due to oxygen vacancies or donor levels formed by Sb^5+ ions. The film deposited with 20 cc solution shows 70 % transmittance at 550 nm leading to the highest figure of merit (2.11 × 10^-3 Ω^-1). The resistivity and carrier concentration vary over 1.22 × 10^-3 to 0.89 × 10^-3Ω cm and 5.19 ×10^20 to 8.52 × 10^20 cm^-3, respectively. 展开更多

For Al 6k21-T4 overlap weld joint,the shear-tensile strength by using the weaving laser was improved as compared to the case of linear laser.For the specimen of low strength,the porosity was distributed continuously along the intersection between the plates and fusion line.However,for the optimized welding condition,large oval-shaped porosities were located only in the advancing track of the concave part.Therefore,the continuity of cracks and porosities played a key role to determine the strength.And,the weaving width was also the important parameter to control the strength.Furthermore,the concave part had more significant hot and cold cracking in the weld and heat-affected zone(HAZ),respectively,than the convex part. 展开更多
