A digital data-acquisition system based on XIA LLC products was used in a complex nuclear reaction experiment using radioactive ion beams.A flexible trigger system based on a field-programmable gate array(FPGA)parametrization was developed to adapt to different experimental sizes.A user-friendly interface was implemented,which allows converting script language expressions into FPGA internal control parameters.The proposed digital system can be combined with a conventional analog data acquisition system to provide more flexibility.The performance of the combined system was veri-fied using experimental data. 展开更多

BACKGROUND The TRIANGLE operation involves the removal of all tissues within the triangle bounded by the portal vein-superior mesenteric vein,celiac axis-common hepatic artery,and superior mesenteric artery to improve patient prognosis.Although previously promising in patients with locally advanced pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC),data are limited regarding the long-term oncological outcomes of the TRIANGLE operation among resectable PDAC patients undergoing pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD).AIM To evaluate the safety of the TRIANGLE operation during PD and the prognosis in patients with resectable PDAC.METHODS This retrospective cohort study included patients who underwent PD for pancreatic head cancer between January 2017 and April 2023,with or without the TRIANGLE operation.Patients were divided into the PD_(TRIANGLE)and PD_(non-TRIANGLE)groups.Surgical and survival outcomes were compared between the two groups.Adequate adjuvant chemotherapy was defined as adjuvant chemotherapy≥6 months.RESULTS The PD_(TRIANGLE)and PD_(non-TRIANGLE) groups included 52 and 55 patients,respectively.There were no significant differences in the baseline characteristics or perioperative indexes between the two groups.Furthermore,the recurrence rate was lower in the PD_(TRIANGLE) group than in the PD_(non-TRIANGLE) group(48.1%vs 81.8%,P<0.001),and the local recurrence rate of PDAC decreased from 37.8%to 16.0%.Multivariate Cox regression analysis revealed that PD_(TRIANGLE)(HR=0.424;95%CI:0.256-0.702;P=0.001),adequate adjuvant chemotherapy≥6 months(HR=0.370;95%CI:0.222-0.618;P<0.001)and margin status(HR=2.255;95%CI:1.252-4.064;P=0.007)were found to be independent factors for the recurrence rate.CONCLUSION The TRIANGLE operation is safe for PDAC patients undergoing PD.Moreover,it reduces the local recurrence rate of PDAC and may improve survival in patients who receive adequate adjuvant chemotherapy. 展开更多

In this study,we constructed two annular detector arrays comprising 24 wedge-shaped CsI(Tl) crystals,and tested them using anαsource and radioactive beams of ^(14-16) Con a CD_2 target.We compared the properties of a CsI(Tl) crystal encapsulated with various reflectors,revealing that using the 80-μm-thick ESR film to pack the CsI(Tl) crystal yielded the largest light output with the smallest non-uniformity in light output (ΔLO).For the 24 CsI(Tl) detectors with the 80-μm-thick ESR films,the average energy resolution improved as the average light output increased;however,it deteriorated as theΔLO value increased.To form two annular Si-CsI(Tl) telescopes for identifying the light-charged particles,theΔLO value and energy resolution of each CsI(Tl) detector were maintained under 20%and 7.7%,respectively.These telescopes were tested for the first time in a direct nuclear reaction experiment using ^(14-16) C+d.The results demonstrated that the Z=1 and Z=2 charged particles were adequately discriminated by the telescopes using the standardΔE-E method. 展开更多

The nuclear fuel assembly is the core component of a nuclear reactor.In a pressurized water reactor fuel assembly,the top-connection structure connects the top nozzle to the guide thimble.Its performance reliability is essential for the stability of the nuclear fuel assembly.In this study,an assembly-oriented reliability analysis method for top-connection structures is presented by establishing an assembly-oriented top-connection structure parameter modeling method and a nonlinear contact gap and penetration correction method.A reliability model of the top-connection assembly structure,including multiple stochastic design variables,was constructed,and the overall reliability of the top-connection assembly structure was obtained via a Kriging model and Monte Carlo simulation.The acquired experimental data were consistent with real-world failure conditions,which verified the practicability and feasibility of the reliability analysis method proposed in this study. 展开更多

A method to improve the surge current capability of silicon carbide(SiC)merged PiN Schottky(MPS)diodes is presented and investigated via three-dimensional electro-thermal simulations.When compared with a conventional MPS diode,the proposed structure has a more uniform current distribution during bipolar conduction due to the help of the continuous P+surface,which can avoid the formation of local hotspots during the surge process.The Silvaco simulation results show that the proposed structure has a 20.29%higher surge capability and a 15.06%higher surge energy compared with a conventional MPS diode.The bipolar on-state voltage of the proposed structure is 4.69 V,which is 56.29%lower than that of a conventional MPS diode,enabling the device to enter the bipolar mode earlier during the surge process.Furthermore,the proposed structure can suppress the occurrence of‘snapback'phenomena when switching from the unipolar to the bipolar operation mode.In addition,an analysis of the surge process of MPS diodes is carried out in detail. 展开更多

Objective:To summarize the recent 10 years of related literature on stem cell effect on aging and explore the research results and hot topics.Methods:Based on the core databaseof Web of Science,all relevant literature from January 1,2012,to December 31,2021,was screened,and CiteSpace 6.1.R2 software was used to show the intrinsic value of literature.The number of publications,research institutions,research countries,co-cited literature,and keywords was analyzed and visualized.Results:In the past 10 years,the total number of articles published showed an upward trend.The number of articles published by relevant countries was 3,911,and the United States had the most significant number of articles published and the highest centrality.The research institutions were mainly universities,supplemented by research centers,and the quality of articles published by famous foreign universities in this field was high.The most co-cited literature is“Naturally occurring p16(Ink4a)-positive cells shorten healthy lifespan”by Darren J Baker,which clarifies the feasibility of cell therapy for aging.The high-frequency keywords are stem cell,senescence,expression,etc.,and the most central ones are cancer cell,migration and DNA repair,etc.In addition,emergent words and clustering show that research hotspots are mainly in the aging mechanism.There are many research entry points,and the pathogenesis and development of senescence,therapeutic targets of ion channels in senescent cells,and their effects on exosomes are the main focus of current research.Conclusion:Literature through the analysis of 10 years of research literature summary suggests that stem cell function in aging still needs further study;the United States is in the leading position in this regard,and the research results also show that research institutions dominate in the developed countries,North America and Europe in the increasing number of papers at the same time,and China should pay attention to the quality of the post,in order to make more progress.The literature of some high-quality scholars can be used as a reference to expand our thinking.The aging mechanism still needs to be many follow-upstudies to clarify the pathway and target in the treatment of more refined Alzheimer’s disease and other age-related diseases need to delve into.Subsequent scholars should study the specific role of stem cells in treating aging;in recent years,hot words,such as exosomes,oxidative stress,etc.,can be used as the thinking of the follow-up study and contribute to the development of the field. 展开更多

Dear Editor,Severe fever with thrombocytopenia syndrome(SFTS)is an emerging tick-borne infectious disease caused by a novel bunyavirus called SFTS virus(SFTSV).It was initially identified in China in 2009(Yu et al.,2011).Since then,the number of reported SFTS cases has rapidly increased in China,South Korea,and Japan(Li,et al.,2018;Takahashi et al.,2014;Kim et al.,2018).Sporadic SFTS cases have also been identified in several other Asian countries,such as Vietnam,Pakistan,Myanmar,and Thailand(Takahashi et al.,2014;Tran et al.,2019;Li et al.,2021).This disease is recognized as a highly lethal viral hemorrhagic fever with a mortality rate ranging from 12%to 50%(Yu et al.,2011;Li et al.,2018;Takahashi et al.,2014;Kim et al.,2013).SFTS primarily spreads to humans through bites from ticks infected with SFTSV,with the Haemaphysalis longicornis tick acting as the predominant vector for SFTSV(Zhuang et al.,2018). 展开更多

A^(6)Li(^(16)O,^(19)Ne^(∗))^(3)H multi-nucleon transfer-reaction experiment was performed to populate the highly excited states in^(19)Ne.The subsequent decay particles,^(4)He or protons from the^(19)Ne resonant states,were detected in coincidence with the recoil 3 H.The excitation-energy spectra of^(19)Ne were reconstructed using the detected proton or^(4)He and the deduced^(18)F or^(15)O data,respectively.A broad resonance at about 7.85 MeV(1/2^(+))was observed,with partial decay widths different from the previously reported values,which may have a significant impact on the destruction of 18 F in astrophysical processes.Several resonances up to very high excitation energies have been identified with a largeα-clustering strength,which confirm the formation of the cluster structure with a one-hole configuration in light nuclei and encourage further systematic studies of the cluster structure in^(19)Ne. 展开更多

A transfer reaction and cluster-decay experiment,12C(16O,24Mg→ α+20Ne)α, was performed at a beam energy of 96 MeV. Both recoil and decay α particles were detected in coincidence, allowing us to deduce the energymomentum of a20Ne fragment. A number of resonant states of24Mg were reconstructed up to an excitation energy of approximately 30 MeV. Owing to the experimentally achieved excellent resolutions of the Q-value and excitationenergy spectra, the relative decay widths for each resonant state in24Mg to various final states of20Ne were extracted, along with the total decay width. The obtained results provide good testing ground for theoretical descriptions of multiple clustering configurations in24Mg. 展开更多

Design of floating offshore wind turbines(FOWTs)needs reliable and innovative technologies to overcome the challenges on how to better predict the dynamic responses in terms of aero-hydro-servo-elastic disciplines.This paper aims to demonstrate the optimized prediction of the dynamic response of FOWTs by Simulation annealing diagnosis algorithm(SADA).SADA is an Artificial Intelligence technology-based method,which utilizes the advantages of numerical simulation,basin experiment and machine learning algorithms.The actor network in deep deterministic policy gradient(DDPG)is adopted to take actions to adjust the Key disciplinary parameters(KDPs)in each loop according to the feedback of 6DOF motions of platform in dynamic response analysis.The results demonstrated that the mean values of the platform's motions and rotor axial thrust force could be predicted with higher accuracy.On this basis,other physical quantities that designers are more concerned about but cannot be obtained from experiments and actual measurements will be predicted by SADA with more credibility.This SADA method differs from traditional supervised learning applications in renewable energy,which do not need to be provided physical quantities with strong direct correlation.All targets can be artificially set for SADA to obtain a better self-learning performance.In general,designers can use SADA to get a more accurate and optimized prediction of the dynamic response of FOWTs,especially those physical quantities that cannot be directly obtained through the basin experiments. 展开更多

A multi-nucleon transfer and cluster decay experiment,^(7)Li(^(11)B,^(14)C^(*)→α+^(10)Be)α,is conducted at an incident beam energy of 55 MeV.This reaction channel has a significantly large 0-value,which favors populating the high lying resonant states in ^(14)C.The decay paths,from these resonances to various states of the final nucleus ^(10) Be,can be selected,owing to the experimentally achieved optimal resolution of the Q-value spectrum.A number of resonant states are reconstructed from the forward emitting 10Be+α fragments,and their major molecular structures can be detected according to the selective decay paths and relative decay widths.A state at 22.4(2)MeV validates the previously measured and theoretically predicted band head of the positive-parity σ-bond linear-chain mo-lecular band.Two additional resonances at 22.9(2)and 24.2(2)MeV are identified and consistent with the predicted 2^(+) and 4^(+) members of the same molecular band,thus providing novel evidences for the existence of the exotic clustering chain structure in neutron-rich carbon isotopes.A few high energy resonances,which also indicate the presence of the σ-bond molecular structure,are observed;however,further studies are still required to clarify their ascription in band systematics. 展开更多
