The artful combination of magneti...We have presented a three dimensional optical protein chip that fulfills the demanding for point-of-care diagnostics in terms of ease-of-use (one step assay), miniaturization (5 μl). The artful combination of magnetic nanoparticles on chip and total internal reflection imaging (TIRI) technology permits the sensitive and rapid detection of hs-CRP (high-sensitivity C-reactive protein). The whole test was complete within 10 min using “all in one step” assay with a limit of detection of 0.1 ng/mL hs-CRP. The measuring range for hs-CRP could be extended to 10 ng/mL. The chip can also be used to detect more parameters in blood samples.展开更多

The largest energy...Contraposing the need of the robust digital watermark for the copyright protection field, a new digital watermarking algorithm in the non-subsampled contourlet transform (NSCT) domain is proposed. The largest energy sub-band after NSCT is selected to embed watermark. The watermark is embedded into scaleinvariant feature transform (SIFT) regions. During embedding, the initial region is divided into some cirque sub-regions with the same area, and each watermark bit is embedded into one sub-region. Extensive simulation results and comparisons show that the algorithm gets a good trade-off of invisibility, robustness and capacity, thus obtaining good quality of the image while being able to effectively resist common image processing, and geometric and combo attacks, and normalized similarity is almost all reached.展开更多

The results showed that Ti an...The microstructure and partitioning behaviors of alloying elements in the γ and γ′ phases in Ni-based powder metallurgy superalloys with different Ti and Al contents were investigated. The results showed that Ti and Al were mainly enriched in the γ′ phase, partially partitioned in the γ matrix, and slightly distributed in the carbides. Different Ti and Al contents in various alloys influenced the composition and amount of MC carbides but did not influence the MC carbides' morphology. With increasing Ti and Al contents, γ + γ′ fan-type structures formed at the grain boundary, eventually resulting in a coarsened γ′ phase. In addition, the morphology of the secondary γ′ phase transformed from nearly spherical to cuboidal. The saturation degrees of Cr, Co, and Mo in the γ matrix were substantially improved with increasing Ti and Al contents.展开更多
In this paper,we propose an improved deep residual network model to recognize human actions.Action data is composed of channel state information signals,which are continuous fine-grained signals.We replaced the tradit...In this paper,we propose an improved deep residual network model to recognize human actions.Action data is composed of channel state information signals,which are continuous fine-grained signals.We replaced the traditional identity connection with the shrinking thresholdmodule.Themodule automatically adjusts the threshold of the action data signal,and filters out signals that are not related to the principal components.We use the attention mechanism to improve the memory of the network model to the action signal,so as to better recognize the action.To verify the validity of the experiment more accurately,we collected action data in two different environments.The experimental results show that the improved network model is much better than the traditional network in recognition.The accuracy of recognition in complex places can reach 92.85%,among which the recognition rate of raising hands is up to 96%.We combine the improved residual deep network model with channel state information action data,and prove the effectiveness of our model for classification through experimental data.展开更多
Objective: To investigate the protective effect and underlying mechanism(s) of icariin(ICA) in preventing hydrogen peroxide(H_2O_2)-induced vascular endothelial cell injury via endoplasmic reticulum stress(ERS).Method...Objective: To investigate the protective effect and underlying mechanism(s) of icariin(ICA) in preventing hydrogen peroxide(H_2O_2)-induced vascular endothelial cell injury via endoplasmic reticulum stress(ERS).Methods: To study the effects of ICA on H_2O_2-induced damage, we used the cell counting kit-8 assay to detect cell viability and the terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP nick-end labeling assay to determine cell adhesion and apoptosis, respectively. Spectrophotometry and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay were used to measure the expression levels of superoxide dismutase(SOD) and glutathione peroxidase(GSH-Px). Subsequently, glucose-regulated protein 78(GRP78), activating transcription factor-4(ATF4) and eukaryotic initiation factor-2 a(eIF2 a) were detected using Western blotting.Results: In human umbilical vein endothelial cells, different concentrations of ICA exhibited multiple effects, including reduced H_2O_2 damage, improved cell viability and adhesion, reduced cell apoptosis and increased SOD and GSH-Px activity. Among the ICA concentrations used, only the H_2O_2+ 100 lmol/L ICA group had significant differences compared to the H_2O_2 group. ERS activators H_2O_2 and DL-dithiothreitol(DTT) significantly increased GRP78, ATF4 and eIF2 a expressions, decreased cell activity and reduced SOD and GSH-Px activity. In contrast, the H_2O_2+ 100 lmol/L ICA and H_2O_2+ 100 lmol/L ICA + DTT groups had significant inhibitory effects on the expressions of GRP78,ATF4 and eIF2 a proteins, showing enhanced cell viability and SOD and GSH-Px activity.Conclusion: The results showed the dose-dependent effects of ICA against H_2O_2-induced injury in vascular endothelial cells. The need for nickel-base powder metallurgy (PM) superalloy turbine discs is becoming increasingly evi dent. With the eventual aim of improving thrust-to-weight ratio of aeroengines for power generation, well integra...The need for nickel-base powder metallurgy (PM) superalloy turbine discs is becoming increasingly evi dent. With the eventual aim of improving thrust-to-weight ratio of aeroengines for power generation, well integration of significantly high strength, high damage tolerance and high-temperature capability would be reasonably required. An advanced PM superalloy, which was designed for applications up to 815- 8 5 0 ℃, was experimentally investigated. Emphasis was primarily put on microstructure and mechanical properties. The results indicated the measured phases in the sample were composed of γ,γ', MC, and Ma B2. With uniform coarse grain microstruc ture (ASTM 5-6), the sample appeared to exhibit overwhelming superiority over the prior art materials FGH95, FGH96, FGH97 and FGH98. The dominant embodiments consisted of high tensile strength (Rm = 1000 MPa and Rp0.2 800 MPa at 850℃), strong creep resistance (ξp 0.12% at 815 ℃/400 MPa/50 h), and considerable stressrupture life (τ=457.4 h at 815 ℃/450 MPa). The technical practicability of applications up to 815-850 ℃ of this alloy was conclusively proved.展开更多
