AIM: To evaluate the efficacy of furazolidone-based triple and quadruple therapy in eradicating Helicobacter pylori(H. pylori) in a multi-center randomized controlled trial.METHODS: A total of 720 H. pylori positive patients with duodenal ulcer disease were enrolled at 10 different hospitals in Jiangxi province in China. The patients were randomly assigned to four treatment groups as follows: patients in Groups 1 and 3 received rabeprazole(10 mg), amoxicillin(1000 mg) and furazolidone(100 mg) twice daily for 7 and 10 d, respectively; patients in Groups 2 and 4 received rabeprazole(10 mg), bismuth(220 mg), amoxicillin(1000 mg) and furazolidone(100 mg) twice daily for 7 and 10 d, respectively. The primary outcome measure was H. pylori eradication rate 4 wk after treatment by intention-to-treat and per protocol analysis, while the secondary outcome measures were symptom and sign changes at the end of treatment and 4 wk after the end of treatment, as well as the proportion of patients who developed adverse events.RESULTS: The demographic data of the four groups were not significantly different. Overall, 666 patients completed the scheme and were re-assessed with the 13C-urea breath test. The intention-to-treat analysis of the H. pylori eradication rates in Groups 1, 2, 3 and 4 were 74.44%, 82.78%, 78.89% and 86.11%, respectively. The H. pylori eradication rate in Group 4 was significantly higher than that in Group 1. According tothe per protocol analysis, the H. pylori eradication rates in Groups 1, 2, 3 and 4 were 81.21%, 89.22%, 85.54% and 92.26%, respectively. The H. pylori eradication rate in Group 4 was significantly higher than that in Group 1. The number of adverse events was 15(8.3%), 16(8.9%), 15(8.3%) and 17(9.4%) in Groups 1, 2, 3 and 4, respectively, including dizziness, vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, skin rash, itchy skin, and malaise. The symptoms were relieved without special treatment in all of the patients.CONCLUSION: Both 7- and 10-d quadruple furazolidone-based therapies achieve satisfactory H. pylori eradication rates. 展开更多

Objective:To evaluate the therapeutic effect of endostar(ED) combined with cisplatin(DDP) on model of C57BL/6 rats,and to further investigate the inhibiting mechanism of endostar from tumor angiogenesis.Methods:Lewis lung cancer cells were inoculated in C57BL/6 mouse,then the mouse were randomized into control group(group A),ED(group B),DDP(group C) and ED/DDP (group D).They were treated according to the plan.And the expressions of VEGF and Sema3A were evaluated by immunhistochemisty.Results:The weight of tumor increased in group A and B.It was decreased in group C and D.The tumor volume was increased in all the 4 groups. The VEGF expression of group D was obviously lower than the other group 3,but the Sema3A expressed of group D was significantly strengthener than the other group 3.The VEGF expression of group B and group D were obviously low especially in the 4th-8th days.Pearson correlated analysis showed that the expression VEGF and Sema3A were negatively correlated(r=-0.72, P【0.05).Conclusions:ED combined with DDP could control the tumor growth effectively,and avoid weight loss.ED could reduce VEGF expression,and enhance Sema3A expression.Tumor vessel presents transient normalization.It is easy for DDP perfusion,and to kill tumor cells. 展开更多

Objective: To further explore the function of combine use of tetramethylpyrazine(TMP) and cisplatin(DDP) in lung carcinoma. Methods: We used the combination drug to treat Lewis lung cancer mice, investigated the expression level of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF), Kruppel-like factor 4(KLF4) and A disintegrin and metalloproteinase with thrombospondin motifs 1(ADAMTS1) and to further explore the inhibitory effects and potential mechanism of TMP combined with DDP on tumor angiogenesis. Results: The tumor growth was suppressed in TMP group, DDP group and TMP combined with DDP group. Furthermore, the weights and volume of tumor, the expression level of VEGF, KLF4 and ADAMTS1 were found significantly changed between experiment group and control group. These findings suggest that TMP with DDP had additional or synergistic effects to inhibit the tumor growth effectively, might be achieved through reducing the expression of angiogenesis promoting factor VEGF and increasing expression of angiogenesis inhibitors KLF4 and ADAMTS1. Conclusion: KLF4 and ADAMTS1 may be synergically involved in the angiogenesis in mouse Lewis lung cancer through the different signal ways. 展开更多

Objective:To investigate the cellular toxicity of isoniazid together with rifampicin and the metabolites of isoniazid on cultured QSG-7701 cells lines.Methods:Isoniazid,rifampicin, mixture of rifampicin and isoniazid,acetylhydrazine,hydrazine were added in cultural media of QSG-7701 cells and cultured for 48 hours.The survival rate of cells was determined by MTT method.The cultural media and cells were collected and the activity of lactate dehydrogenase was detected by chromatometry.Results:Compared with control group,the survival rate decreased significantly and the lactate dehydrogenase released from cell increased significantly in cells treated with isoniazid,rifampicin,acetylhydrazine,hydrazine.Hydrazine,the metabolite of isoniazid produced significant damage on hepatocytes in low concentration.Conclusions: Rifampicin together with rifampicin and metabolites of isoniazid produce cellular toxic effects and hydrazine may be the most toxiferous metabolite. 展开更多

Carbon aerogels(CAs)have been considered potential microwave absorption(MA)materials because of intrinsic hierarchical porous structure,low density,and excellent heat resistance.However,CAs always required to be ground into micron-scale powder before being used as microwave absorbers,which will inevitably destroy the hierarchical porous structure.Meanwhile,reproducing the optimized CAs powders is difficult.Herein,CAs microspheres with in-situ mineralized TiO_(2)were easily prepared via a sol–gel transition and calcination process.The uniform size of CA microspheres and the loaded TiO_(2)on the skeleton of CA yield great microwave attenuation performance while guaranteeing good impedance matching performance.The obtained TiO_(2)/CA hybrid presented a minimum reflection loss value of−30.2 dB and a broad effective absorption bandwidth(reflection loss below−10 dB)of 6.2 GHz.The low density,MA performance,and controllable particle size make the novel TiO_(2)/CA hybrid promising candidates for MA applications. 展开更多

We utilized two structurally different long chains(linear and branched ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene)to reveal the dependence of flow-induced crystallization on long chain architecture,and prepared two bi-disperse systems of 98 wt%short chain and 2 wt%long chain.A flow field was applied to the bi-disperse polyethylene melt by a modified injection-molding machine,known as oscillation shear injection molding(OSIM).For the first time,the structural influence of long chains on flow-induced shish-kebab formation was systematically investigated.For the intermediate layer of OSIM samples,the branched long chains were better than the linear long chains at inducing shish-kebab formation,agreeing with the reported literatures,because the branches can maintain their oriented conformations longer.But unexpectedly,the reverse is the case for the core layer of OSIM samples,where the shear flow was much weaker than the intermediate layer.To understand the unexpected phenomenon,the lifetime of shishes induced by different long chains was compared.Result demonstrated that the linear-induced shishes possessed higher thermal stability than the branched-induced ones so that the linear-induced shishes could survive in the core layer of OSIM samples.Additionally,unlike other methods for flow-induced crystallization,OSIM could create samples for measuring mechanical properties,and thus offer the chance to reveal the relationship between structure and performance.The mechanical results demonstrated that both long chains remarkably enhanced the mechanical properties because of the significant promoting effect of long chains and intense flow fields on shish-kebab formation.However,the linear long chains induced more stable and flawless shishes with higher tensile strength and modulus(80.4 and 1613.5 Mpa,respectively)than the branched ones(74.4 and 1489.3 Mpa).Our research not only helps elucidate the mechanism of shish-kebab formation but also provides a better choice to reinforce polymers by adding long chains with suitable structure. 展开更多

Current-voltage electrical behavior of in situ microfibrillar carbon black (CB)/poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET)/polyethylene (PE) (m-CB/PET/PE) composites with various CB concentrations at ambient temperatures was studied under a direct-current electric field. The current-voltage (l-V) curves exhibited nonlinearity beyond a critical value of voltage. The dynamic random resistor network (DRRN) model was adopted to semi-qualitatively explain the nonlinear conduction behavior of m-CB/PET/PE composites. Macroscopic nonlinearity originated from the interfacial interactions between CB/PET micro fibrils and additional conduction channels. Combined with the special conductive networks, an illustration was proposed to interpret the nonlinear 1-V characteristics by a field emission or tunneling mechanism between CB particles in the CB/PET micro fibers intersections. 展开更多
