Firstly, it is found that process design is necessary for software process improvement after analyzing its complexity. Then, research methods and concepts framework are put forward, and the research content is also provided. The find-ings of research, including propositions of complexity of software process, the work program of complexity of software process improvement, software enterprise model and software production support structure are clarified. Finally, the demonstration, including mindbugs (cognitive barriers) in software process and the knowledge integration support structure of quality software production, is illustrated with case study. It is concluded that the research is useful for both software production and knowledge economy in the future. 展开更多

Research on SAP Business One Implementation Risk Factors with Interpretive Structural Model

The possible risk factors during SAP Business One implementation were studied with depth interview. The results are then adjusted by experts. 20 categories of risk factors that are totally 49 factors were found. Based on the risk factors during the SAP Business One implementation, questionnaire was used to study the key risk factors of SAP Business One implementation. Results illustrate ten key risk factors, these are risk of senior managers leadership, risk of project management, risk of process improvement, risk of implementation team organization, risk of process analysis, risk of based data, risk of personnel coordination, risk of change management, risk of secondary development, and risk of data import. Focus on the key risks of SAP Business One implementation, the interpretative structural modeling approach is used to study the relationship between these factors and establish a seven-level hierarchical structure. The study illustrates that the structure is olive-like, in which the risk of data import is on the top, and the risk of senior managers is on the bottom. Research on Explicit and Tacit Knowledge Interaction in Software Process Improvement Project

This research develops a knowledge model for Software Process Improvement (SPI) project based on knowledge creation theory and its twenty-four measurement items, and proposes two hypothesizes about the interaction of explicit knowledge and tacit knowledge in SPI. Eleven factors are extracted through statistical analysis. Three knowledge-creation practices for capturing tacit knowledge contribute greatly to SPI, which are communication among members, crossover collaboration in practical work and pair programming. Two knowledge-creation practices for capturing explicit knowledge have significant positive impact on SPI, which are integrating project document and on-the-job training. Ultimately, suggestions for improvement are put forward, that is, encouraging communication among staff and integrating documents in real time, and future research is also illustrated. 展开更多

After field survey and literature review, we found that software requirement development (SRD) is a knowledge creation process, and knowledge creation theory of Nonaka is appropriate for analyzing knowledge creating of SRD. The characteristics of knowledge in requirement elicitation process are analyzed, and dissymmetric knowledge of SRD is discussed. Experts on requirement are introduced into SRD process as a third knowledge entity. In addition, a knowledge creation model of SRD is put forward and the knowledge flow and the relationship of entities of this model are illustrated. Case study findings are illustrated in the following: 1) The necessary diversity of the project team can facilitate the implementation of the SRD. 2) The introduction of experts on requirement can achieve the transformation of knowledge effectively, thus helping to carry out the SRD. 3) Methodology and related technologies are important for carrying out the SRD. 展开更多

The knowledge creation effective factors in requirement development project are clarified through deeply interviewing the software enterprises in Guangdong province as well as other corporate information departments. The effective factors are divided with R & D project knowledge creation model in the view of organizational, team, personal and technical four levels through literature research and interview in enterprises, and the empirical study was done with questionnaire and exploratory analysis. 展开更多

Knowledge transfer model of software process improvement (SPI) and the conceptual framework of influencing factors are established. The model includes five elements which are knowledge of transfer, sources of knowledge, recipients of knowledge, relationship of transfer parties, and the environment of transfer. The conceptual framework includes ten key factors which are ambiguity, systematism, transfer willingness, capacity of impartation, capacity of absorption, incen-tive mechanism, culture, technical support, trust and knowledge distance. The research hypothesis is put forward. Em-pirical study concludes that the trust relationship among SPI staffs has the greatest influence on knowledge transfer, and organizational incentive mechanism can produce positive effect to knowledge transfer of SPI. Finally, some sug-gestions are put forward to improve the knowledge transfer of SPI: establishing a rational incentive mechanism, exe-cuting some necessary training to transfer parties and using software benchmarking. 展开更多
