Objectives:This study aimed to explore the status of job satisfaction,emotional labour,core competencies and job stress and the associations of emotional labour and core competencies with the job satisfaction of nurse...Objectives:This study aimed to explore the status of job satisfaction,emotional labour,core competencies and job stress and the associations of emotional labour and core competencies with the job satisfaction of nurses in China.Methods:Data were collected by using a self-designed general information questionnaire,a job satisfaction questionnaire(McCloskey/Mueller Satisfaction Scale),a nurse emotional labour questionnaire,the Competency Inventory for Registered Nurses questionnaire,and a nurse job stressor questionnaire.A total of 13,448 nurses from 92 hospitals across mainland of China were surveyed,and 11,337 respondents(84.3%response rate)completed the questionnaires.Results:The survey results indicated that Chinese nurses had average job satisfaction(24.77±5.23),moderate job stress(86.84±21.12),moderate to high emotional labour experiences(55.08±9.63)and high competency(195.77±37.61).Multiple linear regression indicated that surface acting was negatively correlated with job satisfaction(P<0.01),while deep acting(P<0.01)and nurses'core competence(P<0.01)were positively associated with job satisfaction.Besides,The results also indicated job stress,geographical distribution,hospital category,gender,work shift,only children,parenting status,monthly salary,nursing experience,professional title,hospital area were the influencing factors of job satisfaction(P<0.05).Conclusion:The improvement of the emotional labour and competency of nurses may help enhance their job satisfaction.展开更多

Despite extensive progress, the ability to control the cell-surface interaction is complicated by the complexity in the physiochemical features of bioactive surfaces. In particular, the manifesta- tion of special wettability rendered by the combination of surface roughness and surface chemistry further enriches the cell-surface interaction. Herein we investigated the cell adhesion behaviors of Circulating Tumor Cells (CTCs) on topog- raphically patterned but chemically homogeneous surfaces. Harnessing the distinctive cell adhesion on surfaces with different topography, we further explored the feasibility of controlled cell patterning using periodic lattices of alternative topographies. Wettability plays a vital role in fundamental researches and practical applications.Wettability control and patterning have been widely studied in various fields.Although researches have grown rapidly,the methods are ...Wettability plays a vital role in fundamental researches and practical applications.Wettability control and patterning have been widely studied in various fields.Although researches have grown rapidly,the methods are still restricted by limitations including complicated processes,high equipment requirements and shortage of methods to treat complex surfaces.Here we report a simple,low cost,array-based wettability control and patterning method via in-situ modification by flexible plasma stamp.Wettability control and patterning on surfaces of superhydrophobic aluminum,superhydrophobic PDMS and silicon,even plant leaf and fruit are achieved.The relationships between the wettability and the treatment time are investigated.We elucidate that the wetting states can also be reversible.The surface modification mechanism of in-situ plasma treatment is further investigated.Utilizing the step by step treatment,gradient and arbitrary wettability patterning on surfaces have been obtained.Notably,the patterned wettability on the inner surface of a tube has been realized,which has never been reported.Finally,in-situ wettability patterning is applied to achieve microfluidics channels on the inner surface of superhydrophobic tube.This work will bring new insights into the study of wetting field and stimulate more applications on wettability control and patterning.展开更多

The development of water purification device using solar energy has received tremendous attention.Despite extensive progress,traditional photothermal conversion usually has a high cost and high environmental impact.To...The development of water purification device using solar energy has received tremendous attention.Despite extensive progress,traditional photothermal conversion usually has a high cost and high environmental impact.To overcome this problem,we develop a low cost,durable and environmentally friendly solar evaporator.This bilayered evaporator is constructed with a thermal insulating polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)membrane as a bottom supporting layer and plasmonic silver nanoparticles decorated miero-sized hybrid flower(Ag/MF)as a top light-to-heat conversion layer.Compared with the sample with a flat silver film,the two-tier Ag/MF has a plasmonic enrichment property and high efficiency in converting the solar light to hcat as cach flower can gencrate a microscale hotspot by enriching the absorbed solar light.On the other hand,the PVDF membrane on the bottom with porous structure not only improves the mechanicalstability of the entire structure,but also maintains a stable water supply from the bulk water to the evaporation interface by capillarity and minimizes the thermal conduction.The combination of excellent water evaporation ability simple operation,and low cost of the production process imparts this type of plasmonic enhanced solar-driven interfacial water evaporator with promising prospects for potable water purification for point-of-use applications.展开更多
