Rare-earth zirconates with pyrochlore and fluorite structures have recently been identified as promising thermal barrier coating materials owing to their low thermal conductivities.In this study,six samples with the general formula(NdSmEuGd)_((1-x)/2)Dy_(2x)Zr_(2)O_(7)were synthesized to further reduce the thermal conductivity.X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy showed that the transition from an ordered pyrochlore to a disordered fluorite structure is due to cation and anion disorder.Transmission electron microscopy showed that anion disorder occurred before cation disorder.A modified mass disorder parameter was introduced into this system,which can describe the change in thermal conductivity well.This parameter can be a basis for designing more complex materials with lower thermal conductivities. 展开更多

A series of Ni/HZSM-5 and Ni/HIM-5 bi-functional catalysts were synthesized and applied to the aqueous-phase hydrodeoxygenation(HDO)of phenol.The Ni dispersibility and particle sizes were shown to be directly related to the porosity and crystal sizes of the parent zeolites,which further influenced the catalytic performances.The large pores and small crystal sizes of the parent zeolites were beneficial for dispersing Ni and forming small Ni particles,and the corresponding Ni/zeolite catalyst exhibited a higher phenol conversion and selectivity towards hydrocarbons.Importantly,the Ni/HIM-5 bi-functional catalyst exhibited a high activity(98.3%)and high selectivity for hydrocarbons(98.8%)when heated at 220°C for 1 h and is thus a new potential catalyst for the HDO of phenolics to form hydrocarbons in the aqueous phase. 展开更多

Hematite(α-Fe_(2)O_(3))is a promising photoanode for photoelectrochemical(PEC)water splitting.However,the severe charge recombination and sluggish water oxidation kinetics extremely limit its use in photohydrogen conversion.Herein,a co-activation strategy is proposed,namely through phosphorus(P)doping and the loading of CoAl-layered double hydroxides(CoAl-LDHs)cocatalysts.Unexpectedly,the integrated system,CoAl-LDHs/P-Fe_(2)O_(3) photoanode,exhibits an outstanding photocurrent density of 1.56 mA/cm^(2) at 1.23 V(vs.reversible hydrogen electrode,RHE),under AM 1.5 G,which is 2.6 times of pureα-Fe_(2)O_(3).Systematic studies reveal that the remarkable PEC performance is attributed to accelerated surface OER kinetics and enhanced carrier separation efficiency.This work provides a feasible strategy to enhance the PEC performance of hematite photoanodes. 展开更多
