In 2012,the International Agency for Research on Cancer(IARC)classified diesel particulate matter(DPM)as a carcinogen to human.With the increased usage of diesel equipment in underground mines,miners have a high risk of over-exposure to DPM,which has drawn many concerns from the public.This study used computational fluid dynamics(CFD)to analyse the DPM dispersion and concentration distribution characteristics in an underground development face based on an onsite experiment.The DPM emitted from a moving loader under a forcing auxiliary ventilation system was simulated.The motion of the load-haul-dump(LHD)in the tunnel was represented by a dynamic mesh method.The species transport approach was applied to study the DPM behaviours.High DPM concentration zones were then identified based on the simulation results.The results could provide guidelines for work practices and be helpful to an optimum auxiliary ventilation design to reduce underground miner exposure. 展开更多

A static security assessment approach considering electro-thermal coupling of transmission lines is proposed in this paper. Combined with the dynamic thermal rating technology and energy forecasting, the approach can track both the electrical variables and transmission lines’ temperature varying trajectory under anticipated contingencies. Accordingly, it identifies the serious contingencies by transmission lines’ temperature violation rather than its power flow, in this case the time margin of temperature rising under each serious contingency can be provided to operators as warning information and some unnecessary security control can also be avoided. Finally, numerical simulations are carried out to testify the validity of the proposed approach. 展开更多

Based on the method of separated variables within the torrid coordinate system, a corresponding analytical model for spherical cap converter is further established so as to obtain the analytic expressions of the topology capacitance and the output voltage. The concept of energy increment factor is specifically defined to denote the improvement of energy storage efficiency. With regard to spherical cap converters of different dimensions, the measured values of energy increment factor coincide well with the theoretical equivalents, indicating an effective verification of the proposed analytical model for the spherical cap converter topology. 展开更多

It is still of gigantic challenging to design and to optimize photocatalytic systems with cost-efficiency for photocatalytic hydrogen evolution from water splitting.Herein,noble-metal-free 2D CoP nanosheets were prepared by a phosphorization method using Co(OH)2 nanosheets as precursors,and then employed as photocatalytic cocatalyst and template to make 0D Ti O2 nanoparticles in-situ grow on the surface for construction of 0D/2D TiO_(2)/CoP hybrid by a simple hydrothermal method.The TiO2/CoP hybrid with the optimal ratio of CoP cocatalyst(1 wt.%)manifested significantly improved photocatalytic H_(2) evolution rate of 0.604 mmol g^(-1) h^(-1),which is tenfold in comparison to pure TiO2(0.06 mmol g^(-1) h^(-1).The mechanism of performance enhancement was fully investigated and supposed that 2D CoP nanosheets cocatalyst can enhance the photo-absorption and provide more active sites for water reduction reaction;furthermore,2D CoP nanosheets with smaller work function and high conductivity would form an Ohmicjunction with TiO_(2) nanoparticles,which can significantly accelerate the separation of photo-generated charge carriers and improve the exploitation of the photoexcited electrons in water redox reaction.This work is anticipated to impel more perspicacity into synthesizing innovative photocatalytic systems with 2D transition metal phosphides cocatalysts for attaining high photocatalytic H_(2) evolving pursuit. 展开更多

Characteristic analysis of skin keratinocytes in patients with type 2 diabetes based on the single-cell levels

Background: Keratinocytes play an important role in wound healing;however, less is known about skin keratinocytes in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Therefore, this study aimed to search for the transcriptional characteristics of keratinocytes at the single-cell level from T2DM patients, and to provide experimental data for identifying the pathological mechanisms of keratinocytes under pathological conditions.Methods: We performed single-cell RNA sequencing on the skin tissue from two T2DM patients and one patient without diabetes-induced trauma using the BD Rhapsody^(TM) Single-Cell Analysis System. With the help of bioinformatics R-based single-cell analysis software, we analyzed the results of single-cell sequencing to identify the single-cell subsets and transcriptional characteristics of keratinocytes at the single-cell level, including Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes and Gene Ontology analyzes.Results: In this study, we found specific highly expressed signature keratinocyte-related genes. We analyzed the transcriptome of keratinocytes from experimental and control groups and screened a total of 356 differential genes, which were subject to bioinformatics analysis. Enriched pathways included oxidative phosphorylation, antigen processing and presentation, prion and Huntingtons’ diseases, bacterial invasion of epithelial cells, thermogenesis, vasopressin-regulated water reabsorption, and protein processing in the endoplasmic reticulum.Conclusions: This study revealed the characteristics of keratinocytes at the single-cell level and screened a group of differentially expressed genes related to T2DM-associated keratinocytes, oxidative phosphorylation, cytokine receptor interactions, prion diseases, and other signaling pathways. 展开更多
