The global pandemic of COVID-19 has brought great harm and challenges to many countries and regions around the world. The majority of COVID-19 patients have typical clinical manifestations, but the number of asymptomatic infections is increasing as COVID-19 research continues and SARS-CoV-2 testing improves. Many asymptomatic COVID-19 patients with no obvious clinical symptoms are able to transmit the virus to others due to the presence of SARS-CoV-2 in their bodies, thus greatly accelerating the worldwide pandemic and posing great difficulty and threat to global epidemic prevention and control. Therefore, early detection and identification of asymptomatic infected persons through various testing methods are effective measures to control the COVID-19 pandemic. This article will provide a brief review of the available methods and techniques for detecting asymptomatic COVID-19 patients. 展开更多

The asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic infections of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)has no perceptible clinical symptoms and signs, and it is not easy to be detected. The transmission of the virus carried by asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic patients is insidious, which brings great challenges to the control of the epidemic. Due to the length of the incubation period, some studies have failed to distinguish between asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic infections, resulting in a higher proportion of asymptomatic infections. This article reviews the latest research progress of characteristics, transmission, detection and control of asymptomatic and pre-symptomatic infection. 展开更多

The corona virus disease 2019(COVID-19)is an acute respiratory infection caused by the binding of SEVERE acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-COV-2)and the angiotensin-converting enzyme 2(ACE2)receptor to the host target organ.New research suggests that COVID-19 may be a systemic infectious disease and a systemic inflammatory disease.Symptoms and signs of the digestive system are often found in patients with coVID-19 following acute infection. At present, despite the existence of some coronavirus-related digestive diseases(such as gastrointestinal diseases, liver injury, pancreatic injury, etc.),the pathogenesis of COVID-19 with digestive symptoms in existing studies is still unclear, and relevant guidelines and expert consensus are not enough for clinical diagnosis and treatment. Therefore,it is extremely important to understand the clinical manifestations, pathogenesis and prognosis of coVID-19 patients with digestive system. 展开更多

Recently, some severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)variants represented by B.1.7(Alpha),B.1.351(Beta),P1(Gamma),B.1.617(Delta)and B.1.529(Omicron)have higher transmission and pathogenicity.Especially,Omicron causes global panic because of its high mutation in infectivity and vaccine escape, and their emergence makes the epidemic more difficult to control. The latest research reports indicate that these new corona mutants may first be mutated in the special population of immunosuppressive patients, and long-term infection and artificial immunotherapy may promote the variation of SARS-CoV-2.Not only that, there are a large number of congenital or acquired immunosuppressive patients worldwide, and immunosuppressive patients infected with SARS-CoV-2 will also have different impacts on social public health security. Therefore,we should pay more attention to the immunosuppressive population. This paper will briefly analyze the correlation between immunosuppressive population and SARS-CoV-2 variation in the form of review. 展开更多
