Developing a regional damage function to quickly estimate direct economic losses(DELs)caused by heavy rain and foods is crucial for providing scientifc supports in efective disaster response and risk reduction.This st...Developing a regional damage function to quickly estimate direct economic losses(DELs)caused by heavy rain and foods is crucial for providing scientifc supports in efective disaster response and risk reduction.This study investigated the factors that infuence regional rainfall-induced damage and developed a calibrated regional rainfall damage function(RDF)using data from the 2016 extreme rainfall event in Hebei Province,China.The analysis revealed that total precipitation,asset value exposure,per capita GDP,and historical geological disaster density at both the township and county levels signifcantly afect regional rainfall-induced damage.The coefcients of the calibrated RDF indicate that doubling the values of these factors leads to varying increases or decreases in rainfall-induced damage.Furthermore,the study demonstrated a spatial scale dependency in the coefcients of the RDF,with increased elasticity values for asset value exposure and per capita GDP at the county level compared to the township level.The fndings emphasize the challenges of applying RDFs across multiple scales and highlight the importance of considering socioeconomic factors in assessing rainfall-induced damage.Despite the limitations and uncertainties of the RDF developed,this study contributes to our understanding of the relationship between physical and socioeconomic factors and rainfall-induced damage.Future research should prioritize enhancing exposure estimation and calibrating RDFs for various types of rainfall-induced disasters to improve model accuracy and performance.The study also acknowledges the variation in RDF performance across diferent physical environments,especially concerning geological disasters and slope stability.展开更多
Lithium metal batteries with inorganic solid-state electrolytes have emerged as strong and attractive candidates for electrochemical energy storage devices because of their high-energy content and safety.Nonetheless,i...Lithium metal batteries with inorganic solid-state electrolytes have emerged as strong and attractive candidates for electrochemical energy storage devices because of their high-energy content and safety.Nonetheless,inherent challenges of deleterious lithium dendrite growth and poor interfacial stability hinder their commercial application.Herein,we report a liquid metal-coated lithium metal(LM@Li)anode strategy to improve the contact between lithium metal and a Li6PS5Cl inorganic electrolyte.The LM@Li symmetric cell shows over 1000 h of stable lithium plating/stripping cycles at 2mA cm^(-2) and a significantly higher critical current density of 9.8 mAcm^(-2) at 25°C.In addition,a full battery assembled with a high-capacity composite LiNbO3@-LiNi_(0.7)Co_(0.2)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)(LNO@NCM721)cathode shows stable cycling performance.Experimental and computational results have demonstrated that dendrite growth tolerance and physical contact in solid-state batteries can be reinforced by using LM interlayers for interfacial modification.展开更多
Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD),including Crohn’s disease(CD)and ulcerative colitis(UC),is a chronic inflammatory disease of the digestive tract with increasing prevalence globally.Although venous thromboembolism(VTE...Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD),including Crohn’s disease(CD)and ulcerative colitis(UC),is a chronic inflammatory disease of the digestive tract with increasing prevalence globally.Although venous thromboembolism(VTE)is a major complication in IBD patients,it is often underappreciated with limited tools for risk stratification.AIM To estimate the proportion of VTE among IBD patients and assess genetic risk factors(monogenic and polygenic)for VTE.METHODS Incident VTE was followed for 8465 IBD patients in the UK Biobank(UKB).The associations of VTE with F5 factor V leiden(FVL)mutation,F2 G20210A prothrombin gene mutation(PGM),and polygenic score(PGS003332)were tested using Cox hazards regression analysis,adjusting for age at IBD diagnosis,gender,and genetic background(top 10 principal components).The performance of genetic risk factors for discriminating VTE diagnosis was estimated using the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC).RESULTS The overall proportion of incident VTE was 4.70%in IBD patients and was similar for CD(4.46%),UC(4.49%),and unclassified(6.42%),and comparable to that of cancer patients(4.66%)who are well-known at increased risk for VTE.Mutation carriers of F5/F2 had a significantly increased risk for VTE compared to non-mutation carriers,hazard ratio(HR)was 1.94,95%confidence interval(CI):1.42-2.65.In contrast,patients with the top PGS decile had a considerably higher risk for VTE compared to those with intermediate scores(middle 8 deciles),HR was 2.06(95%CI:1.57-2.71).The AUC for differentiating VTE diagnosis was 0.64(95%CI:0.61-0.67),0.68(95%CI:0.66-0.71),and 0.69(95%CI:0.66-0.71),respectively,for F5/F2 mutation carriers,PGS,and combined.CONCLUSION Similar to cancer patients,VTE complications are common in IBD patients.PGS provides more informative risk information than F5/F2 mutations(FVL and PGM)for personalized thromboprophylaxis.展开更多
To solve the problems of rock strength increase caused by high in-situ stress,the stress release method with rock slot in the bottom hole by an ultra-high-pressure water jet is proposed.The stress conditions of bottom...To solve the problems of rock strength increase caused by high in-situ stress,the stress release method with rock slot in the bottom hole by an ultra-high-pressure water jet is proposed.The stress conditions of bottom hole rock,before and after slotting are analyzed and the stress release mechanism of slotting is clarified.The results show that the stress release by slotting is due to the coupling of three factors:the relief of horizontal stress,the stress concentration zone distancing away from the cutting face,and the increase of pore pressure caused by rock mass expansion;The stress concentration increases the effective stress of rock along the radial distance from O.6R to 1R(R is the radius of the well),and the presence of groove completely releases the stress,it also allows the stress concentration zone to be pushed away from the cutting face,while significantly lowering the value of stresses in the area the drilling bit acting,the maximum stress release efficiency can reach 80%.The effect of slotting characteristics on release efficiency is obvious when the groove location is near the borehole wall.With the increase of groove depth,the stress release efficiency is significantly increased,and the release range of effective stress is enlarged along the axial direction.Therefore,the stress release method and results of simulations in this paper have a guiding significance for best-improving rock-breaking efficiency and further understanding the technique.展开更多

Additive manufacturing(AM)is gaining traction in the manufacturing industry for the fabrication of components with complex geometries using a variety of materials.Selective laser melting(SLM)is a common AM technique t...Additive manufacturing(AM)is gaining traction in the manufacturing industry for the fabrication of components with complex geometries using a variety of materials.Selective laser melting(SLM)is a common AM technique that is based on powder-bed fusion(PBF)to process metals;however,it is currently focused only on the fabrication of macroscale and mesoscale components.This paper reviews the state of the art of the SLM of metallic materials at the microscale level.In comparison with the direct writing techniques that are commonly used for micro AM,micro SLM is attractive due to a number of factors,including a faster cycle time,process simplicity,and material versatility.A comprehensive evaluation of various research works and commercial systems for the fabrication of microscale parts using SLM and selective laser sintering(SLS)is conducted.In addition to identifying existing issues with SLM at the microscale,which include powder recoating,laser optics,and powder particle size,this paper details potential future directions.A detailed review of existing recoating methods in powder-bed techniques is conducted,along with a description of emerging efforts to implement dry powder dispensing methods in the AM domain.A number of secondary finishing techniques for AM components are reviewed,with a focus on implementation for microscale features and integration with micro SLM systems.展开更多

The results rev...In this study, the flow characteristics and behaviors of virgin and recycled Inconel powder for powder-bed additive manufacturing (AM) were studied using different powder characterization techniques. The results revealed that the particle size distribution (PSD) for the selective laser melting (SLM) process is typically in the range from 15 μm to 63 μm. The flow rate of virgin Inconel powder is around 28 s·(50 g)^-1. In addition, the packing density was found to be 60%. The rheological test results indicate that the virgin powder has reasonably good flowability compared with the recycled powder. The inter-relation between the powder characteristics is discussed herein. A propeller was successfully printed using the powder. The results suggest that Inconel powder is suitable for AM and can be a good reference for researchers who attempt to pro- duce AM powders.展开更多

It provides a revolutionary configuration of wearable supercapacitors: the artificial leather on garment is also a supercapacitor.Unlike the polyvinyl alcohol-based acidic electrolytes, which are widely used, sodium chloride is used to modify the intrinsically fluorescent polyurethane leather for ionic transportation, which has no harm to human. The fluorescent leather supercapacitor is easily transferrable from any arbitrary substrates to form various patterns, enabling multifunctionalities of practical wearability, fashion, and energy storage.展开更多

METHODS: Cell lines in which cortactin was stably overexpressed or knocked down as well...AIM: To study the effects of cortactin on the tumor biology of SGC-7901 cells and identify the mechanism involved in the process. METHODS: Cell lines in which cortactin was stably overexpressed or knocked down as well as the respective control cell lines were established by standard molecular methods. The effects of cortactin on the proliferation, migration and invasion capacity of SGC-7901 cells were assessed by the MTT assay, colony formation, flow cytometry, transwell migration and matrigel invasion. Nude mouse models were also used to assess the role of cortactin in the growth and metastasis of SGC-7901 cells in vivo. Western blotting analysis was performed to detect the expression of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and downstream molecules. RESULTS: Cell lines in which cortactin was stably overexpressed or knocked down as well as control cell lines were successfully established and designated as LV5-cortactin-SGC, LV5-SGC, LV3-shRNA-SGC and LV3SGC. Cortactin overexpression promoted SGC-7901 cell migration (340.7 +/- 12.6 vs 229.1 +/- 23.2, P < 0.01) and invasion (71.6 +/- 5.2 vs 48.4 +/- 3.6, P < 0.01). Cortactin downregulation impaired SGC-7901 cell migration (136.2 +/- 19.8 vs 225 +/- 17) and invasion (29.2 +/- 5.2 vs 49.6 +/- 3.8, P < 0.01). The results from the MTT and colony formation assays results indicated increased LV5-cortactin-SGC cell proliferation and decreased LV3shRNA-SGC cell proliferation compared to the control cells. Flow cytometry analysis demonstrated that cortactin overexpression promoted the proliferation index of SGC-7901 cells, and the results were reversed when cortactin was downregulated. Mouse tumor models confirmed that cortactin expression increased SGC-7901 cell proliferation and metastasis in vivo. Western blotting analysis revealed that cortactin elevated EGFR expression and activated the downstream molecules. CONCLUSION: Cortactin expression promoted the migration, invasion and proliferation of SGC-7901 cells both in vivo and in vitro. The EGFR signaling pathway is mechanistically involved. The members Lyzl4 and Spaca3 have been reported to play a role in sperm-egg binding and fertilisation in mice. However, the function of the remaining two mouse c-type lysozyme genes, Lyzll and Lyzl6, is still not clear. In the present study, we analysed the tissue expression and androgen-dependent expression of mouse c-type lysozyme genes and the possible contribution of human recombinant LYZL6 (rLYZL6) to immunity. The expression of Lyzlswas detected by RT-PCR, Western blots, immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence. The bacteriolytic activity of rLYZL6 was analysed by a colony-forming assay. In mice, the expression of Lyzlgenes was mainly in the testis and epididymis in a developmentally regulated manner and androgen- or testicular factor-regulated manner. Immunodetection revealed the presence of LYZL6 protein in primary spermatocytes and round spermatids of the testis and on the post-acrosomal area and midpiece of mature epididymal spermatozoa. The rLYZL6 protein exhibited antibacterial activity. From the results, Lyzls may play a role in mitochondrial function of spermatozoa and LYZL6 may contribute to the innate immunity of the male genital tract.展开更多

Umbilical vein has been substituted for ar- tery in vascular transplantation, but it remains unclear whether the stress relaxation and creep be- tween these vessels are consistent. In this study, we used the fetal umbilical vein and middle cere- bral artery from adult male cadavers to make specimens 15 mm in length, 0.196-0.268 mm in tu- nica media thickness, and 2.82-2.96 mm in outer diameter. The results demonstrated that the stress decrease at 7 200 seconds was similar between the middle cerebral artery and fetal umbilical vein specimens, regardless of initial stress of 18.7 kPa or 22.5 kPa. However, the strain increase at 7 200 seconds of fetal umbilical veins was larger than that of middle cerebral arteries. Moreover, the stress relaxation experiment showed that the stress decrease at 7 200 seconds of the fetal umbilical vein and middle cerebral artery specimens under 22.5 kPa initial stress was less than the decrease in these specimens under 18.7 kPa initial stress. These results indicate that the fetal umbilical vein has appropriate stress relaxation and creep properties for transplantation. These properties are advantageous for vascular reconstruction, indicating that the fetal umbilical vein can be transplanted to repair middle cerebral artery injury.展开更多
Current research on robotic dexterous hands mainly focuses on designing new finger and palm structures,as well as developing smarter control algorithms.Although the dimensional synthesis of dexterous hands with tradit...Current research on robotic dexterous hands mainly focuses on designing new finger and palm structures,as well as developing smarter control algorithms.Although the dimensional synthesis of dexterous hands with traditional rigid palms has been carried out,research on the dimensional synthesis of dexterous hands with metamorphic palms remains insufficient.This study investigated the dimensional synthesis of a palm of a novel metamorphic multi-fingered hand,and explored the geometric design for maximizing the precision manipulation workspace.Different indexes were used to value the workspace of the metamorphic hand,and the best proportions between the five links of the palm to obtain the optimal workspace of the metamorphic hand were explored.Based on the fixed total length of the palm member,four nondimensional design parameters that determine the size of the palm were introduced;through the discretization method,the influence of the four design parameters on the workspace of the metamorphic hand with full-actuated fingers and under-actuated fingers was analyzed.Based on the analysis of the metamorphic multi-fingered hand,the symmetrical structure of the palm was designed,resulting in the largest workspace of the multi-fingered hand,and proved that the metamorphic palm has a massive upgrade for the workspace of underactuated fingers.This research contributed to the dimensional synthesis of metamorphic dexterous hands,with practical significance for the design and optimization of novel metamorphic hands.展开更多
BACKGROUND The pathogenesis of hemorrhoids is mainly anal cushion prolapse.Although the traditional treatment has a certain curative effect,it is not ideal.The remission rate of postoperative symptoms is low.Even if t...BACKGROUND The pathogenesis of hemorrhoids is mainly anal cushion prolapse.Although the traditional treatment has a certain curative effect,it is not ideal.The remission rate of postoperative symptoms is low.Even if temporary remission is achieved,patients with hemorrhoids easily relapse after 1-2 years.The new technique of using staplers to treat prolapsed hemorrhoids has good therapeutic effects in clinical practice.AIM To explore the effect of TST33 mega stapler prolapse and hemorrhoid mucosal resection in the treatment of patients with severe prolapsed hemorrhoids.METHODS A total of 204 patients with severe prolapse hemorrhoids who were admitted to the department of anorectal in our hospital from April 2018 to June 2020 were selected,and the patients were randomly divided into group A and group B with 102 cases in each group using a randomized controlled clinical research program.Patients in Group A were treated with a TST33 mega stapler and hemorrhoid mucosal resection to treat prolapse,and patients in Group B were treated according to the Procedure for Prolapse and Hemorrhoids;the operation time,intraoperative blood loss,hospital stay,the difference in operation time,intraoperative blood loss,hospitalization time,pain degree before and after operation,degree of anal edema,anal Wexner score,and surgical complications were compared between the two groups of patients.RESULTS The operation time,intraoperative blood loss and hospitalization time in Group A were significantly lower than those in Group B(P<0.05).The cure rate of Group A was 98.04%,compared with 95.10%cure rate of Group B,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The visual analogue scale(VAS)at 12 h and 24 h postoperatively in Group A were significantly lower than those in Group B(P<0.05).The comparison of the VAS scores between Group A and Group B at 48 h,72 h and 96 h postoperatively revealed that the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).One day postoperatively,the degree of perianal edema in Group A was compared with that in Group B,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Seven days postoperatively,the degree of perianal edema in Group A was significantly lower than that in Group B(P<0.05).The comparison of anal Wexner scores between the two groups preoperatively and at 1 mo,3 mo and 6 mo postoperatively showed that the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The Wexner scores of the two groups at 1 mo,3 mo and 6 mo postoperatively were significantly lower than the scores preoperatively(P<0.05).The postoperative complication rate of Group A was 2.94%lower than that of Group B(11.76%),which was statistically significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION TST33 mega anastomotic hemorrhoidectomy treatment for patients with severe prolapse hemorrhoids,leads to less postoperative pain,the rapid recovery of perianal edema and has fewer complications.展开更多

Both tissues were analyzed for thei...Sciatic nerve tissue was obtained from the gluteus maximus muscle segment of normal human cadavers and amniotic membrane tissue was obtained from healthy human puerperant placentas. Both tissues were analyzed for their stress relaxation and creep properties to determine suitability for transplantation applications. Human amniotic membrane and sciatic nerve tissues had similar tendencies for stress relaxation and creep properties. The stress value of the amniotic membrane stress relaxation group decreased to a greater extent compared with the sciatic nerve stress relaxation group. Similarly, the stress value of the amniotic membrane creep group increased to a greater extent compared with the sciatic nerve creep group. The stress relaxation curve for human amniotic membrane and sciatic nerve showed a logarithm correlation, while the creep curve showed an exponential correlation. These data indicate that amniotic membrane tissue has better stress relaxation and creep properties compared with sciatic nerve tissue.展开更多

Methods Two single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), rs2588014 and rs626716 trios consisting of fathers, mothers, and affected offsprings at the KPNB3 locus, were genotyped in 304 Chinese Han family with schizophrenia. These 2 SNPs were detected by PCR-based restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis. The Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium for genotypic distributions was estimated by the goodness-of-fit test. The UNPHASED program was used to perform transmission disequilibrium test (TDT), haplotype analysis, and pair-wise measure of linkage disequilibrium (LD) between these 2 SNPs. Results The genotypic distributions of both rs2588014 and rs626716 were in the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium (P〉0.05). The TDT revealed allelic association with rs626716 (χ^2 =9.31, P=0.0023) but not with rs2588014 (χ^2 =3.44, P=0.064). The global P-value was 0.0099 for 100 permutations. The haplotype analysis also showed a disease association (χ^2 =25.97, df=3, P=0.0000097). Conclusion The present study provides further evidence in support of the KPNB3 association with schizophrenia in Chinese population.展开更多

Koch seed is characterized with having deep dormancy. The inner molecular regulation mechanism has not been investigated because of the absence of a protocol for total RNA(ribonucleic acid)extraction. The extraction of high-quality RNA is important and can be a limiting factor in plant molecular biology experiments. Sufficient high-quality total RNA is required to elucidate the molecular regulation mechanism of germination. However, M. sieboldii seeds with large amounts of secondary metabolites also contain recalcitrant tissues for RNA isolation. We found two simple and low-cost RNA extraction methods for M. sieboldii seeds by evaluating and selecting eight types of methods and further optimizing these methods. The two methods were not only suitable for extracting M. sieboldii seed RNA but also applicable to RNAs from several other tissues. Total RNA extracted through these approaches was applicable for general molecular biology experiments such as qRT-PCR(quantitative real-time polymerase chain reactions). The protocols also meet the strict harsh requirements for transcriptome sequencing and small RNA sequencing. This study provides a powerful approach for future studies at the transcription level.展开更多

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the pain-relieving effects of HANS, combined with patient-controlled analgesia, following neurosurgery, and to observe adverse reactions and effects. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: A randomized control observation was performed at the Department of Neurology in the First Affiliated Hospital of Gannan Medical College (Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province, China) from January 2005 to February 2006. PARTICIPANTS: Forty patients, who were selected for craniotomy and required pain relief following surgery at the Department of Neurology in the First Affiliated Hospital of Gannan Medical College (China), were included in this study. METHODS: Forty patients underwent neurosurgery and were randomly divided into two groups: patient-controlled analgesia plus HANS (+HANS, n = 20) and patient-controlled analgesia (-HANS, n = 20). Both groups were well matched in baseline data. Automatic syringe infusion pump ZZB-150 was the product of Nantong Aipeng Medical Instruments Co., Ltd. (China). Patient-controlled analgesia consisted of 100 mL 0.02% lappaconitine/0.02% metoclopramide. LH-402 HANS instrument was produced in Beijing (China), with a serial number of 402183. The HANS instrumentation was used to stimulate the Hegu-Laogong acupoint on one side and Jiaogan, Shenmen penetrating Shen, Waifei, Naogan penetrating Pizhixia ear acupoints on the affected side for one hour, with 2-hour intervals. The disperse-dense wave was alternating, with a 2/100 Hz frequency of electrical stimulation. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURE: The scores of visual analogue scale and incidence of adverse reaction were observed in two groups following surgery. RESULTS: Compared with the HANS group, the visual analogue scale scores were remarkably lower in the +HANS group six hours after surgery (P 〈 0.01), and the incidence rate of adverse reactions, such as nausea and vomiting, was also decreased (P 〈 0.05).CONCLUSION: The application of HANS to induce body surface stimulation can enhance the effect of pain relief and reduce adverse reactions when used in combination with patient-controlled analgesia following neurosurgery. The effect of combined therapy is superior to patient-controlled analgesia alone.展开更多

文摘Developing a regional damage function to quickly estimate direct economic losses(DELs)caused by heavy rain and foods is crucial for providing scientifc supports in efective disaster response and risk reduction.This study investigated the factors that infuence regional rainfall-induced damage and developed a calibrated regional rainfall damage function(RDF)using data from the 2016 extreme rainfall event in Hebei Province,China.The analysis revealed that total precipitation,asset value exposure,per capita GDP,and historical geological disaster density at both the township and county levels signifcantly afect regional rainfall-induced damage.The coefcients of the calibrated RDF indicate that doubling the values of these factors leads to varying increases or decreases in rainfall-induced damage.Furthermore,the study demonstrated a spatial scale dependency in the coefcients of the RDF,with increased elasticity values for asset value exposure and per capita GDP at the county level compared to the township level.The fndings emphasize the challenges of applying RDFs across multiple scales and highlight the importance of considering socioeconomic factors in assessing rainfall-induced damage.Despite the limitations and uncertainties of the RDF developed,this study contributes to our understanding of the relationship between physical and socioeconomic factors and rainfall-induced damage.Future research should prioritize enhancing exposure estimation and calibrating RDFs for various types of rainfall-induced disasters to improve model accuracy and performance.The study also acknowledges the variation in RDF performance across diferent physical environments,especially concerning geological disasters and slope stability.

文摘Lithium metal batteries with inorganic solid-state electrolytes have emerged as strong and attractive candidates for electrochemical energy storage devices because of their high-energy content and safety.Nonetheless,inherent challenges of deleterious lithium dendrite growth and poor interfacial stability hinder their commercial application.Herein,we report a liquid metal-coated lithium metal(LM@Li)anode strategy to improve the contact between lithium metal and a Li6PS5Cl inorganic electrolyte.The LM@Li symmetric cell shows over 1000 h of stable lithium plating/stripping cycles at 2mA cm^(-2) and a significantly higher critical current density of 9.8 mAcm^(-2) at 25°C.In addition,a full battery assembled with a high-capacity composite LiNbO3@-LiNi_(0.7)Co_(0.2)Mn_(0.1)O_(2)(LNO@NCM721)cathode shows stable cycling performance.Experimental and computational results have demonstrated that dendrite growth tolerance and physical contact in solid-state batteries can be reinforced by using LM interlayers for interfacial modification.

文摘Inflammatory bowel disease(IBD),including Crohn’s disease(CD)and ulcerative colitis(UC),is a chronic inflammatory disease of the digestive tract with increasing prevalence globally.Although venous thromboembolism(VTE)is a major complication in IBD patients,it is often underappreciated with limited tools for risk stratification.AIM To estimate the proportion of VTE among IBD patients and assess genetic risk factors(monogenic and polygenic)for VTE.METHODS Incident VTE was followed for 8465 IBD patients in the UK Biobank(UKB).The associations of VTE with F5 factor V leiden(FVL)mutation,F2 G20210A prothrombin gene mutation(PGM),and polygenic score(PGS003332)were tested using Cox hazards regression analysis,adjusting for age at IBD diagnosis,gender,and genetic background(top 10 principal components).The performance of genetic risk factors for discriminating VTE diagnosis was estimated using the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve(AUC).RESULTS The overall proportion of incident VTE was 4.70%in IBD patients and was similar for CD(4.46%),UC(4.49%),and unclassified(6.42%),and comparable to that of cancer patients(4.66%)who are well-known at increased risk for VTE.Mutation carriers of F5/F2 had a significantly increased risk for VTE compared to non-mutation carriers,hazard ratio(HR)was 1.94,95%confidence interval(CI):1.42-2.65.In contrast,patients with the top PGS decile had a considerably higher risk for VTE compared to those with intermediate scores(middle 8 deciles),HR was 2.06(95%CI:1.57-2.71).The AUC for differentiating VTE diagnosis was 0.64(95%CI:0.61-0.67),0.68(95%CI:0.66-0.71),and 0.69(95%CI:0.66-0.71),respectively,for F5/F2 mutation carriers,PGS,and combined.CONCLUSION Similar to cancer patients,VTE complications are common in IBD patients.PGS provides more informative risk information than F5/F2 mutations(FVL and PGM)for personalized thromboprophylaxis.

文摘To solve the problems of rock strength increase caused by high in-situ stress,the stress release method with rock slot in the bottom hole by an ultra-high-pressure water jet is proposed.The stress conditions of bottom hole rock,before and after slotting are analyzed and the stress release mechanism of slotting is clarified.The results show that the stress release by slotting is due to the coupling of three factors:the relief of horizontal stress,the stress concentration zone distancing away from the cutting face,and the increase of pore pressure caused by rock mass expansion;The stress concentration increases the effective stress of rock along the radial distance from O.6R to 1R(R is the radius of the well),and the presence of groove completely releases the stress,it also allows the stress concentration zone to be pushed away from the cutting face,while significantly lowering the value of stresses in the area the drilling bit acting,the maximum stress release efficiency can reach 80%.The effect of slotting characteristics on release efficiency is obvious when the groove location is near the borehole wall.With the increase of groove depth,the stress release efficiency is significantly increased,and the release range of effective stress is enlarged along the axial direction.Therefore,the stress release method and results of simulations in this paper have a guiding significance for best-improving rock-breaking efficiency and further understanding the technique.

文摘Aiming at the problem that the existing ankle rehabilitation robot is difficult to fully fit the complex motion of human ankle joint and has poor human-machine motion compatibility,an equivalent series mechanism model that is highly matched with the actual bone structure of the human ankle joint is proposed and mapped into a parallel rehabilita-tion mechanism.The parallel rehabilitation mechanism has two virtual motion centers(VMCs),which can simulate the complex motion of the ankle joint,adapt to the individual differences of various patients,and can meet the reha-bilitation needs of both left and right feet of patients.Firstly,based on the motion properties and physiological structure of the human ankle joint,the mapping relationship between the rehabilitation mechanism and ankle joint is determined,and the series equivalent model of the ankle joint is established.According to the kinematic and con-straint properties of the ankle equivalent model,the configuration design of the parallel ankle rehabilitation robot is carried out.Secondly,according to the intersecting motion planes theory,the full-cycle mobility of the mechanism is proved,and the continuous axis of the mechanism is judged based on the constraint power and its derivative.Then,the kinematics of the parallel ankle rehabilitation robot is analyzed.Finally,based on the OpenSim biomechanical soft-ware,a human-machine coupling rehabilitation simulation model is established to evaluate the rehabilitation effect,which lays the foundation for the formulation of a rehabilitation strategy for the later prototype.

文摘Additive manufacturing(AM)is gaining traction in the manufacturing industry for the fabrication of components with complex geometries using a variety of materials.Selective laser melting(SLM)is a common AM technique that is based on powder-bed fusion(PBF)to process metals;however,it is currently focused only on the fabrication of macroscale and mesoscale components.This paper reviews the state of the art of the SLM of metallic materials at the microscale level.In comparison with the direct writing techniques that are commonly used for micro AM,micro SLM is attractive due to a number of factors,including a faster cycle time,process simplicity,and material versatility.A comprehensive evaluation of various research works and commercial systems for the fabrication of microscale parts using SLM and selective laser sintering(SLS)is conducted.In addition to identifying existing issues with SLM at the microscale,which include powder recoating,laser optics,and powder particle size,this paper details potential future directions.A detailed review of existing recoating methods in powder-bed techniques is conducted,along with a description of emerging efforts to implement dry powder dispensing methods in the AM domain.A number of secondary finishing techniques for AM components are reviewed,with a focus on implementation for microscale features and integration with micro SLM systems.

文摘In this study, the flow characteristics and behaviors of virgin and recycled Inconel powder for powder-bed additive manufacturing (AM) were studied using different powder characterization techniques. The results revealed that the particle size distribution (PSD) for the selective laser melting (SLM) process is typically in the range from 15 μm to 63 μm. The flow rate of virgin Inconel powder is around 28 s·(50 g)^-1. In addition, the packing density was found to be 60%. The rheological test results indicate that the virgin powder has reasonably good flowability compared with the recycled powder. The inter-relation between the powder characteristics is discussed herein. A propeller was successfully printed using the powder. The results suggest that Inconel powder is suitable for AM and can be a good reference for researchers who attempt to pro- duce AM powders.

文摘Inspired by the sophisticated artificial leather garment industry and toward enhancing wearability of energy storage devices, we demonstrate a polyurethane artificial leather supercapacitor with large sheet electrodes embedded in theleather layer simultaneously working as a polyelectrolyte. This design totally reserves textiles underneath and thus addresses the well-known challenge of wearing comfortability. It provides a revolutionary configuration of wearable supercapacitors: the artificial leather on garment is also a supercapacitor.Unlike the polyvinyl alcohol-based acidic electrolytes, which are widely used, sodium chloride is used to modify the intrinsically fluorescent polyurethane leather for ionic transportation, which has no harm to human. The fluorescent leather supercapacitor is easily transferrable from any arbitrary substrates to form various patterns, enabling multifunctionalities of practical wearability, fashion, and energy storage.

文摘AIM: To study the effects of cortactin on the tumor biology of SGC-7901 cells and identify the mechanism involved in the process. METHODS: Cell lines in which cortactin was stably overexpressed or knocked down as well as the respective control cell lines were established by standard molecular methods. The effects of cortactin on the proliferation, migration and invasion capacity of SGC-7901 cells were assessed by the MTT assay, colony formation, flow cytometry, transwell migration and matrigel invasion. Nude mouse models were also used to assess the role of cortactin in the growth and metastasis of SGC-7901 cells in vivo. Western blotting analysis was performed to detect the expression of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) and downstream molecules. RESULTS: Cell lines in which cortactin was stably overexpressed or knocked down as well as control cell lines were successfully established and designated as LV5-cortactin-SGC, LV5-SGC, LV3-shRNA-SGC and LV3SGC. Cortactin overexpression promoted SGC-7901 cell migration (340.7 +/- 12.6 vs 229.1 +/- 23.2, P < 0.01) and invasion (71.6 +/- 5.2 vs 48.4 +/- 3.6, P < 0.01). Cortactin downregulation impaired SGC-7901 cell migration (136.2 +/- 19.8 vs 225 +/- 17) and invasion (29.2 +/- 5.2 vs 49.6 +/- 3.8, P < 0.01). The results from the MTT and colony formation assays results indicated increased LV5-cortactin-SGC cell proliferation and decreased LV3shRNA-SGC cell proliferation compared to the control cells. Flow cytometry analysis demonstrated that cortactin overexpression promoted the proliferation index of SGC-7901 cells, and the results were reversed when cortactin was downregulated. Mouse tumor models confirmed that cortactin expression increased SGC-7901 cell proliferation and metastasis in vivo. Western blotting analysis revealed that cortactin elevated EGFR expression and activated the downstream molecules. CONCLUSION: Cortactin expression promoted the migration, invasion and proliferation of SGC-7901 cells both in vivo and in vitro. The EGFR signaling pathway is mechanistically involved. 文摘C-type lysozyme genes (Lyzls) belong to the class of lysozymes and are highly expressed in the testis and epididymis. The members Lyzl4 and Spaca3 have been reported to play a role in sperm-egg binding and fertilisation in mice. However, the function of the remaining two mouse c-type lysozyme genes, Lyzll and Lyzl6, is still not clear. In the present study, we analysed the tissue expression and androgen-dependent expression of mouse c-type lysozyme genes and the possible contribution of human recombinant LYZL6 (rLYZL6) to immunity. The expression of Lyzlswas detected by RT-PCR, Western blots, immunohistochemistry and immunofluorescence. The bacteriolytic activity of rLYZL6 was analysed by a colony-forming assay. In mice, the expression of Lyzlgenes was mainly in the testis and epididymis in a developmentally regulated manner and androgen- or testicular factor-regulated manner. Immunodetection revealed the presence of LYZL6 protein in primary spermatocytes and round spermatids of the testis and on the post-acrosomal area and midpiece of mature epididymal spermatozoa. The rLYZL6 protein exhibited antibacterial activity. From the results, Lyzls may play a role in mitochondrial function of spermatozoa and LYZL6 may contribute to the innate immunity of the male genital tract.
文摘The transplantation of artificial blood vessels with 〈 6 mm inner diameter as substitutes for human arterioles or veins has not achieved satisfactory results. Umbilical vein has been substituted for ar- tery in vascular transplantation, but it remains unclear whether the stress relaxation and creep be- tween these vessels are consistent. In this study, we used the fetal umbilical vein and middle cere- bral artery from adult male cadavers to make specimens 15 mm in length, 0.196-0.268 mm in tu- nica media thickness, and 2.82-2.96 mm in outer diameter. The results demonstrated that the stress decrease at 7 200 seconds was similar between the middle cerebral artery and fetal umbilical vein specimens, regardless of initial stress of 18.7 kPa or 22.5 kPa. However, the strain increase at 7 200 seconds of fetal umbilical veins was larger than that of middle cerebral arteries. Moreover, the stress relaxation experiment showed that the stress decrease at 7 200 seconds of the fetal umbilical vein and middle cerebral artery specimens under 22.5 kPa initial stress was less than the decrease in these specimens under 18.7 kPa initial stress. These results indicate that the fetal umbilical vein has appropriate stress relaxation and creep properties for transplantation. These properties are advantageous for vascular reconstruction, indicating that the fetal umbilical vein can be transplanted to repair middle cerebral artery injury.

文摘Current research on robotic dexterous hands mainly focuses on designing new finger and palm structures,as well as developing smarter control algorithms.Although the dimensional synthesis of dexterous hands with traditional rigid palms has been carried out,research on the dimensional synthesis of dexterous hands with metamorphic palms remains insufficient.This study investigated the dimensional synthesis of a palm of a novel metamorphic multi-fingered hand,and explored the geometric design for maximizing the precision manipulation workspace.Different indexes were used to value the workspace of the metamorphic hand,and the best proportions between the five links of the palm to obtain the optimal workspace of the metamorphic hand were explored.Based on the fixed total length of the palm member,four nondimensional design parameters that determine the size of the palm were introduced;through the discretization method,the influence of the four design parameters on the workspace of the metamorphic hand with full-actuated fingers and under-actuated fingers was analyzed.Based on the analysis of the metamorphic multi-fingered hand,the symmetrical structure of the palm was designed,resulting in the largest workspace of the multi-fingered hand,and proved that the metamorphic palm has a massive upgrade for the workspace of underactuated fingers.This research contributed to the dimensional synthesis of metamorphic dexterous hands,with practical significance for the design and optimization of novel metamorphic hands.

文摘BACKGROUND The pathogenesis of hemorrhoids is mainly anal cushion prolapse.Although the traditional treatment has a certain curative effect,it is not ideal.The remission rate of postoperative symptoms is low.Even if temporary remission is achieved,patients with hemorrhoids easily relapse after 1-2 years.The new technique of using staplers to treat prolapsed hemorrhoids has good therapeutic effects in clinical practice.AIM To explore the effect of TST33 mega stapler prolapse and hemorrhoid mucosal resection in the treatment of patients with severe prolapsed hemorrhoids.METHODS A total of 204 patients with severe prolapse hemorrhoids who were admitted to the department of anorectal in our hospital from April 2018 to June 2020 were selected,and the patients were randomly divided into group A and group B with 102 cases in each group using a randomized controlled clinical research program.Patients in Group A were treated with a TST33 mega stapler and hemorrhoid mucosal resection to treat prolapse,and patients in Group B were treated according to the Procedure for Prolapse and Hemorrhoids;the operation time,intraoperative blood loss,hospital stay,the difference in operation time,intraoperative blood loss,hospitalization time,pain degree before and after operation,degree of anal edema,anal Wexner score,and surgical complications were compared between the two groups of patients.RESULTS The operation time,intraoperative blood loss and hospitalization time in Group A were significantly lower than those in Group B(P<0.05).The cure rate of Group A was 98.04%,compared with 95.10%cure rate of Group B,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The visual analogue scale(VAS)at 12 h and 24 h postoperatively in Group A were significantly lower than those in Group B(P<0.05).The comparison of the VAS scores between Group A and Group B at 48 h,72 h and 96 h postoperatively revealed that the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).One day postoperatively,the degree of perianal edema in Group A was compared with that in Group B,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).Seven days postoperatively,the degree of perianal edema in Group A was significantly lower than that in Group B(P<0.05).The comparison of anal Wexner scores between the two groups preoperatively and at 1 mo,3 mo and 6 mo postoperatively showed that the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The Wexner scores of the two groups at 1 mo,3 mo and 6 mo postoperatively were significantly lower than the scores preoperatively(P<0.05).The postoperative complication rate of Group A was 2.94%lower than that of Group B(11.76%),which was statistically significant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION TST33 mega anastomotic hemorrhoidectomy treatment for patients with severe prolapse hemorrhoids,leads to less postoperative pain,the rapid recovery of perianal edema and has fewer complications.
文摘Sciatic nerve tissue was obtained from the gluteus maximus muscle segment of normal human cadavers and amniotic membrane tissue was obtained from healthy human puerperant placentas. Both tissues were analyzed for their stress relaxation and creep properties to determine suitability for transplantation applications. Human amniotic membrane and sciatic nerve tissues had similar tendencies for stress relaxation and creep properties. The stress value of the amniotic membrane stress relaxation group decreased to a greater extent compared with the sciatic nerve stress relaxation group. Similarly, the stress value of the amniotic membrane creep group increased to a greater extent compared with the sciatic nerve creep group. The stress relaxation curve for human amniotic membrane and sciatic nerve showed a logarithm correlation, while the creep curve showed an exponential correlation. These data indicate that amniotic membrane tissue has better stress relaxation and creep properties compared with sciatic nerve tissue.

文摘Objective To reconfirm the association of KPNB3 with schizophrenia in Chinese population. Methods Two single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), rs2588014 and rs626716 trios consisting of fathers, mothers, and affected offsprings at the KPNB3 locus, were genotyped in 304 Chinese Han family with schizophrenia. These 2 SNPs were detected by PCR-based restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) analysis. The Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium for genotypic distributions was estimated by the goodness-of-fit test. The UNPHASED program was used to perform transmission disequilibrium test (TDT), haplotype analysis, and pair-wise measure of linkage disequilibrium (LD) between these 2 SNPs. Results The genotypic distributions of both rs2588014 and rs626716 were in the Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium (P〉0.05). The TDT revealed allelic association with rs626716 (χ^2 =9.31, P=0.0023) but not with rs2588014 (χ^2 =3.44, P=0.064). The global P-value was 0.0099 for 100 permutations. The haplotype analysis also showed a disease association (χ^2 =25.97, df=3, P=0.0000097). Conclusion The present study provides further evidence in support of the KPNB3 association with schizophrenia in Chinese population.

文摘Magnolia sieboldii K. Koch seed is characterized with having deep dormancy. The inner molecular regulation mechanism has not been investigated because of the absence of a protocol for total RNA(ribonucleic acid)extraction. The extraction of high-quality RNA is important and can be a limiting factor in plant molecular biology experiments. Sufficient high-quality total RNA is required to elucidate the molecular regulation mechanism of germination. However, M. sieboldii seeds with large amounts of secondary metabolites also contain recalcitrant tissues for RNA isolation. We found two simple and low-cost RNA extraction methods for M. sieboldii seeds by evaluating and selecting eight types of methods and further optimizing these methods. The two methods were not only suitable for extracting M. sieboldii seed RNA but also applicable to RNAs from several other tissues. Total RNA extracted through these approaches was applicable for general molecular biology experiments such as qRT-PCR(quantitative real-time polymerase chain reactions). The protocols also meet the strict harsh requirements for transcriptome sequencing and small RNA sequencing. This study provides a powerful approach for future studies at the transcription level.
文摘BACKGROUND: Han's acupoint nerve stimulator (HANS) has been frequently used to relieve pain by promoting the central nerve system's release of endogenous opioid peptides through electric stimulation to the body surface. OBJECTIVE: To investigate the pain-relieving effects of HANS, combined with patient-controlled analgesia, following neurosurgery, and to observe adverse reactions and effects. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING: A randomized control observation was performed at the Department of Neurology in the First Affiliated Hospital of Gannan Medical College (Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province, China) from January 2005 to February 2006. PARTICIPANTS: Forty patients, who were selected for craniotomy and required pain relief following surgery at the Department of Neurology in the First Affiliated Hospital of Gannan Medical College (China), were included in this study. METHODS: Forty patients underwent neurosurgery and were randomly divided into two groups: patient-controlled analgesia plus HANS (+HANS, n = 20) and patient-controlled analgesia (-HANS, n = 20). Both groups were well matched in baseline data. Automatic syringe infusion pump ZZB-150 was the product of Nantong Aipeng Medical Instruments Co., Ltd. (China). Patient-controlled analgesia consisted of 100 mL 0.02% lappaconitine/0.02% metoclopramide. LH-402 HANS instrument was produced in Beijing (China), with a serial number of 402183. The HANS instrumentation was used to stimulate the Hegu-Laogong acupoint on one side and Jiaogan, Shenmen penetrating Shen, Waifei, Naogan penetrating Pizhixia ear acupoints on the affected side for one hour, with 2-hour intervals. The disperse-dense wave was alternating, with a 2/100 Hz frequency of electrical stimulation. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURE: The scores of visual analogue scale and incidence of adverse reaction were observed in two groups following surgery. RESULTS: Compared with the HANS group, the visual analogue scale scores were remarkably lower in the +HANS group six hours after surgery (P 〈 0.01), and the incidence rate of adverse reactions, such as nausea and vomiting, was also decreased (P 〈 0.05).CONCLUSION: The application of HANS to induce body surface stimulation can enhance the effect of pain relief and reduce adverse reactions when used in combination with patient-controlled analgesia following neurosurgery. The effect of combined therapy is superior to patient-controlled analgesia alone.

Faradaic leakage current is tess than 0.1nA in the sotution of 1 mol/L NaCl. The atomic image of highty oriented pyrotytic graphite (HOPG)has been taken using the prepared tip.
