Flexible and stretchable transparent electrodes are widely used in smart display,energy,wearable devices and other fields.Due to the limitations of flexibility and stretchability of indium tin oxide electrodes,alterna...Flexible and stretchable transparent electrodes are widely used in smart display,energy,wearable devices and other fields.Due to the limitations of flexibility and stretchability of indium tin oxide electrodes,alternative electrodes have appeared,such as metal films,metal nanowires,and conductive meshes.However,few of the above electrodes can simultaneously have excellent flexibility,stretchability,and optoelectronic properties.Nanofiber(NF),a continuous ultra-long one-dimensional conductive material,is considered to be one of the ideal materials for high-performance transparent electrodes with excellent properties due to its unique structure.This paper summarizes the important research progress of NF flexible transparent electrodes(FTEs)in recent years from the aspects of NF electrode materials,preparation technology and application.First,the unique advantages and limitations of various NF materials are systematically discussed.Then,we summarize the preparation technology of various advanced NF FTEs,and point out the future development trend.We also discuss the application of NFs in solar cells,supercapacitors,electric heating equipments,sensors,etc,and analyze its development potential in flexible electronic equipment,as well as problems that need to be solved.Finally,the challenges and future development trends are proposed in the wide application of NF FTEs in the field of flexible optoelectronics.展开更多

Optical duo-binary signals are generated by using a precoder, two low- pass filters (LPF) and one mach-zehnder modulator (MZM). Through combination of dispersion compensation fiber (DCF) and single mode fiber (SMF) in the transmission link, four different dispersion compensation schemes (pre-compensation, post-compensation and hybrid compensation (pre+ post) and hybrid compensation (post+ pre)) were compared. Analyzing Q factor, BER, eye diagrams and receiver sensitivity in several dispersion compensation schemes, the simulation results are: the cut-off frequency of LPF affects the transmission performance, and the hybrid compensation (post+ pre) scheme is the optimal dispersion compensation method.展开更多

But, the different weather conditions will affect the transceiver performance. In this paper, we build a FSO communication system with 16-ary phase shift key-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (16PSK-OFDM) downstream signals. We analyze the transmission performance of 16PSK-OFDM optical signals under five different weather conditions (sunny, light rain, moderate rain, snow, and fog). The optical spectral diagrams, constellation diagrams, and bit error rate (BER) of the received signals are simulation measured and analyzed. The results show that the constellation diagram under sunny condition is clear, and the value of BER is about 10?4.2 after 16PSK-OFDM optical signals pass through 500 m FSO link. Note that, the constellation points are dispersed under the other weather conditions.展开更多

After modulation and coding, two types of 10 Gbit/s 8QAM-OFDM optical access signals are downstream transmitted over 1 km, 10 km, 20 km and 40 km single mode fibers (SMFs) and received successfully. Different transmission distances impact on the bit error rate (BER) of the received signal is analyzed by simulation, while the signal to noise ratio (SNR) is 20 dB. The results show that, while the transmission distance is shorter than 10 km, the BER values of two types of 8QAM-OFDM optical signals are smaller than 10?10. As the above optical access signals are transmitted over 40 km SMF, the BER value of the first type of 8QAM-OFDM signals is bigger than 10?6, and the BER of the other type of 8QAM-OFDM signals is smaller than 10?6.展开更多

Firstly, we build a 40Gbit/s optical coherent 64QAM-OFDM transmission system. 64QAM-OFDM optical signals with 16, 32, 64, 64, 128, 256 and 512 sub-carriers are transmitted over 100 km single mode fiber (SMF). Then, the optical spectrum diagrams before and after transmission, the bit error rate (BER) and constellation diagrams of received signals were compared. The simulation results show that, with the number of sub-carriers increasing, the value of PAPR will gradually increase and the quality of the received optical signals will deteriorate. Moreover, with the number of sub-carriers increasing, the computational complexity will increase when digital signal processing (DSP) is used. Therefore, we should choose the optimal number of sub-carriers, and the PAPR influence and BER are also considered for achieving effective transmission.展开更多
Previous studies have confirmed that oxidized adenosine triphosphate, a P2X7 receptor antagonist, attenuates lipopolysaccharide-mediated microglial activation and inflammatory expression following neuronal damage in r...Previous studies have confirmed that oxidized adenosine triphosphate, a P2X7 receptor antagonist, attenuates lipopolysaccharide-mediated microglial activation and inflammatory expression following neuronal damage in rat brain. NaCl and temperature may affect the potency of oxidized adenosine triphosphate. Brilliant blue G is a derivative of a widely used food additive and has little toxicity. This study explored the effects of brilliant blue G, a selective P2X7 receptor antagonist, on microglial activation and inflammation. Results demonstrated that brilliant blue G inhibited the release of cyclooxygenase-2 and interleukin-6 in BV2 cells. Immunofluorescence displayed that brilliant blue G could suppress lipopolysaccharide-induced microglial activation. This study used RNA interference to block P2X7 receptor expression and found that small interfering RNA also suppressed the release of cyclooxygenase-2 and interleukin-6 in BV2 cells. These results suggested that downregulation of the P2X7 receptor by brilliant blue G was involved in the inhibition of microglial activation and inflammation.展开更多

The complementary cumulative distribution functions (CCDFs) are analyzed of two different 8QAM-OFDMsignals with 16, 32, 64, 128, 256, 512 sub- carriers by simulation. The simulation results show that, with the increase of the number of subcarrier, the PAPR value becomes higher. When the numbers of subcarrier are16 and 512, the PAPR of 8QAM-OFDM optical signals are smaller than 5.2 dB and 5.3 dB respectively. Hence, the number of sub-carriers should be chosen according to practical application.展开更多
Transparent electromagnetic(EM)shielding glass with a metal mesh has significant potential for application in different fields of EM radiation and anti-EM interference light-transmitting observation windows.In particu...Transparent electromagnetic(EM)shielding glass with a metal mesh has significant potential for application in different fields of EM radiation and anti-EM interference light-transmitting observation windows.In particular,a transparent EM-shielding glass with a large-aspect-ratio metal mesh can effectively alleviate the contradictory problems of shielding effectiveness and light-transmission performance constraints.However,the fabrication of high-aspect-ratio metal meshes on glass substrates has problems such as high cost,complex processes,low efficiency,small area,and easy damage issues,which limit their application in the field of high-performance,transparent EM-shielding glass.Therefore,this paper proposes a composite additive manufacturing process based on electric-field-driven microjet 3D printing and electroplating.By fabricating metal meshes with an Ag-Cu core-shell structure on a glass substrate,EM-shielding glass with high shielding efficiency and light transmission can be manufactured without increasing the aspect ratio of the metal meshes.The prepared Ag-Cu composite metal mesh has excellent optoelectronic properties(period 250𝜇m,line width 10𝜇m,90.1%transmission at 550 nm visible light,square resistance 0.21Ω/sq),efficient electrothermal effect(3 V DC voltage can reach 189°C steady-state temperature),stable EM-shielding effectiveness(average shielding effectiveness 23 dB at X-band),and acceptable mechanical and environmental stability(less than 3%change in square resistance after 150-times adhesion test and less than 6%and 0.6%change in resistance after 72 h in acid and alkali environments,respectively).This method provides a new solution for the mass production of high-performance large-area transparent electric heating/EM-shielding glass.展开更多
Background:Joint contracture is the major clinical complication in burn patients,especially,the severe burn patients.This study aimed to investigate the number and severity of joint contractures in patients with burns...Background:Joint contracture is the major clinical complication in burn patients,especially,the severe burn patients.This study aimed to investigate the number and severity of joint contractures in patients with burns affecting greater than or equal to 50%of the total body surface area(TBSA)undergoing early rehabilitation in a burn intensive care unit(BICU).Methods:We analyzed burn patients with burns affecting greater than or equal to 50%of the TBSA admitted to a BICU who received early rehabilitation within 7 days post-injury from January 2011 to December 2015.Demographic and medical information was collected.The range of motion(ROM)of different joints was measured 1 month post-admission.Spearman’s correlation coefficient and logistic regression analysis was used to determine predictors of the presence and severity of contractures.Result:The average affected TBSA of the included burn patients was 67.4%,and the average length of stay in the BICU was 46.2±28.8 days.One hundred and one of 108 burn patients(93.5%)developed at least one joint contracture.The ROM in 67.9%of the affected joints was mildly limited.The majority of contractures in severe burn patients were mild(37.7%)or moderate(33.2%).The wrist was the most commonly affected joint(18.2%),followed by the shoulder,ankle,hip,knee,and elbow.A predictor of the presence of contractures was the length of hospital stay(p=0.049).The severe contracture was related to the area of full-thickness burns,the strict bed rest time,and the duration of rehabilitation in BICU.The length of rehabilitation stay(days)in patients with moderate contracture is 54.5%longer than that in severe contracture(p=0.024)Conclusion:During the long stay in BICU,the length of rehabilitation stay in a BICU could decrease the severity of contractures from severe to moderate in the patients with equal to 50%of the TBSA.Hence,this research reveals the important role of early rehabilitation interventions in severe burn patients.展开更多
The frequency of T cells that can respond to alloantigens is unusually high.It remains unclear how T cells would respond when stimulated by multiple major histocompatibility complex(MHC)disparate alloantigens in the s...The frequency of T cells that can respond to alloantigens is unusually high.It remains unclear how T cells would respond when stimulated by multiple major histocompatibility complex(MHC)disparate alloantigens in the same cultures.In this report,we examined potential interactions of T cell clones that were stimulated simultaneously by two sets of complete MHC disparate alloantigens using mixed lymphocyte reaction(MLR).In this assay,we observed that proliferation of B6 lymphocytes(H-2b)stimulated by both BALB/c(H-2d)and C_(3)H(H-2k)allogeneic cells was not increased but rather reduced as compared to B6 cells stimulated with either BALB/c or C_(3)H allogeneic cells.Interestingly,interleukin(IL)-10 expressions at both protein level and mRNA level was signifi cantly increased in cultures stimulated with the two MHC alloantigens,while IL-2,tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-α,transforming growth factor(TGF)-β1 production did not show any differences.In addition,Foxp_(3) mRNA expression was comparable amongst all groups.In conclusion,we observed an inhibitory effect in T cell proliferation in response to multiple MHC mismatched alloantigens in MLR,and this effect might be associated with the upregulation of IL-10 expression.展开更多
Professor Li Ao was one of the founders of Chinese burn medicine and one of the most renowned doctors and researchers of burns in China. He established one of the Chinese earliest special departments for burns at Thir...Professor Li Ao was one of the founders of Chinese burn medicine and one of the most renowned doctors and researchers of burns in China. He established one of the Chinese earliest special departments for burns at Third Military Medical University (TMMU) in 1958. To memorialize Professor Li Ao on his 100th birthday in 2017 and introduce our extensive experience, it is our honor to briefly review the development and achievement of the Chinese burn medicine from TMMU. The epidemiology and outcomes of admitted burn patients since 1958 were reviewed. Furthermore, main achievements of basic and clinical research for the past roughly 60 years were presented. These achievements mainly included the Chinese Rule of Nine, fluid resuscitation protocol, experience in inhalation injury, wound treatment strategies, prevention and treatment of burn infections, nutrition therapy, organ support therapies, and rehabilitation. The progress shaped and enriched modern Chinese burn medicine and promoted the development of world burn medicine.展开更多
