Nondestructive and noninvasive neutron assays are essential applications of neutron techniques.Neutron resonance transmission analysis(NRTA)is a powerful nondestructive method for investigating the elemental composition of an object.The back-streaming neutron line(Back-n)is a newly built time-of-flight facility at the China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS)that provides neutrons in the eV to 300 MeV range.A feasibility study of the NRTA method for nuclide identification was conducted at the CSNS Back-n via two test experiments.The results demonstrate that it is feasible to identify different elements and isotopes in samples using the NRTA method at Back-n.This study reveals its potential future applications. 展开更多

The ^(232)Th(n,f)cross section is very important in basic nuclear physics and applications based on the Th/U fuel cycle.Using the time-of-flight method and a multi-cell fast-fission ionization chamber,a novel measurement of the^(232)Th(n,f)cross sec-tion relative to^(235)U in the 1–200 MeV range was performed at the China Spallation Neutron Source Back-n white neutron source(Back-n).The fission event-neutron energy spectra of^(232)Th and^(235)U fission cells were measured in the single-bunch mode.Corrected 232Th/235U fission cross-sectional ratios were obtained,and the measurement uncertainties were 2.5–3.7%for energies in the 2–20 MeV range and 3.6–6.2%for energies in the 20–200 MeV range.The^(232)Th(n,f)cross section was obtained by introducing the standard cross section of^(235)U(n,f).The results were compared with those of previous theoreti-cal calculations,measurements,and evaluations.The measured 232Th fission cross section agreed with the main evaluation results in terms of the experimental uncertainty,and 232Th fission resonances were observed in the 1–3 MeV range.The present results provide^(232)Th(n,f)cross-sectional data for the evaluation and design of Th/U cycle nuclear systems. 展开更多

Compared with the traditional heteroatom doping,employing heterostructure is a new modulating approach for carbon-based electrocatalysts.Herein,a facile ball milling-assisted route is proposed to synthesize porous carbon materials composed of abundant graphene/hexagonal boron nitride(G/h-BN)heterostructures.Metal Ni powder and nanoscale h-BN sheets are used as a catalytic substrate/hard template and“nucleation seed”for the formation of the heterostructure,respectively.As-prepared G/h-BN heterostructures exhibit enhanced electrocatalytic activity toward H_(2)O_(2) generation with 86%-95%selectivity at the range of 0.45-0.75 V versus reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE)and a positive onset potential of 0.79 versus RHE(defined at a ring current density of 0.3 mA cm^(-2))in the alkaline solution.In a flow cell,G/h-BN heterostructured electrocatalyst has a H_(2)O_(2) production rate of up to 762 mmol g_(catalyst)^(-1) h^(-1) and Faradaic efficiency of over 75%during 12 h testing,superior to the reported carbon-based electrocatalysts.The density functional theory simulation suggests that the B atoms at the interface of the G/h-BN heterostructure are the key active sites.This research provides a new route to activate carbon catalysts toward highly active and selective O_(2)-to-H_(2)O_(2) conversion. 展开更多

Columbianetin acetate(CE)is one of the effective components of Angelica pubescens.So far,the specific role and molecular mechanism of CE in pancreatic cancer are not clear.Thus,this study aimed to explore the specific mechanism of CE on pancreatic cancer.The target genes combined with CE were predicted through the PharmMapper database and the 3D molecular structure of CE.Then,the Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA)and Cistrome data browser(DB)databases were used to screen Meiotic nuclear divisions 1(MND1)-related genes,transcription factors,and transcription factor data sets,and the intersection of the above data sets.The“limma”package in the R and gene expression profiling interactive analysis(GEPIA)databases were used to analyze the correlation and survival difference between the target genes and MND1 to predict the degree of association between CE and MND1.Western blotting and RT-PCR experiments revealed the regulatory relationship among CE,E2F1,and MND1 at the cellular level.The specific effects of CE on pancreatic cancer cells were explored through CCK8,wound healing,migration,and flow cycle experiments.E2F1,also the predictive transcription factor of MND1,was also the predictive target protein of CE.At the same time,E2F1 and MND1 were closely related in pancreatic tissue.In the cell function experiment,CE and interference with E2F1 expression could reduce the gene and protein expression of MND1,which was closely associated with cell proliferation,migration,and cycle development.Similarly,interfering with the expression of mnd1 can also inhibit the further development of tumor cells.CE may inhibit the development of pancreatic cancer cells by reducing the expression of MND1.This implies that CE may be a potential novel agent for the treatment of pancreatic cancer. 展开更多

The water gas shift(WGS) reaction is a standard reaction that is widely used in industrial hydrogen production and removal of carbon monoxide. The improved catalytic performance of WGS reaction also contributes to ammonia synthesis and other reactions. Advanced catalysts have been developed for both high and low-temperature reactions and are widely used in industry. In recent years, supported metal nanoparticle catalysts have been researched due to their high metal utilization. Low-temperature catalysts have shown promising results, including high selectivity, high shift rates, and higher activity potential. Additionally, significant progress has been made in removing trace CO through the redox reaction in electrolytic cell. This paper reviews the development of WGS reaction catalysts, including the reaction mechanism, catalyst design, and innovative research methods. The catalyst plays a crucial role in the WGS reaction, and this paper provides an instant of catalyst design under different conditions. The progress of catalysts is closely related to the development of advanced characterization techniques.Furthermore, modifying the catalyst surface to enhance activity and significantly increase reaction kinetics is a current research direction. This review goals to stimulate a better understanding of catalyst design, performance optimization, and driving mechanisms, leading to further progress in this field. 展开更多

The neutron capture cross sections(n,γ)of bromine were obtained using the time-of-flight technique at the Back-n facility of the China Spallation Neutron Source.Promptγ-rays originating from neutron-induced capture ... The neutron capture cross sections(n,γ)of bromine were obtained using the time-of-flight technique at the Back-n facility of the China Spallation Neutron Source.Promptγ-rays originating from neutron-induced capture events were detected using four C_(6)D_(6) detectors.The pulse-height weighting technique and double-bunch unfolding method based on Bayesian theory were used in the data analysis.Background deductions,normalization,and corrections were carefully considered to obtain reliable measurement results.The multilevel R-matrix Bayesian code SAMMY was used to extract the resonance parameters in the resolved resonance region(RRR).The average cross sections in the unresolved resonance region(URR)were obtained from 10 to 400 keV.The experimental results were compared with data from several evaluated libraries and previous experi-ments in the RRR and URR.The TALYS code was used to describe the average cross sections in the URR.The astrophysical Maxwell average cross sections(MACSs)of ^(79,81)Br from kT=5 to 100 keV were calculated over a sufficiently wide range of neutron energies.At a thermal energy of kT=30 keV,the MACS value for ^(79)Br 682±68 mb was in good agreement with the KADoNiS v1.0 recommended value.By contrast,the value of 293±29 mb for ^(81)Br was substantially higher than that of the evaluated database and the KADoNiS v1.0 recommended value. 展开更多

目的:探讨角膜地形图引导的飞秒激光制瓣的准分子激光原位角膜磨镶术(FS-LASIK)与有晶状体眼后房型环曲面人工晶状体(TICL)植入术矫正近视合并中高度散光的临床疗效。方法:选取2019-06/2021-06在河源爱尔眼科医院屈光中心就诊的近视合... 目的:探讨角膜地形图引导的飞秒激光制瓣的准分子激光原位角膜磨镶术(FS-LASIK)与有晶状体眼后房型环曲面人工晶状体(TICL)植入术矫正近视合并中高度散光的临床疗效。方法:选取2019-06/2021-06在河源爱尔眼科医院屈光中心就诊的近视合并中高度散光患者60例115眼,按手术方式分组,接受角膜地形图引导的FS-LASIK患者32例62眼纳入A组;接受TICL植入术的患者28例53眼纳入B组。记录术前、术后3mo的裸眼视力(UCVA)、最佳矫正视力(BCVA)、球镜度、残余散光度,评估手术安全性和有效性,并利用Alpins矢量分析方法评估散光的矫正效果。结果:术后3mo,两组患者安全性指数(1.163±0.167 vs 1.136±0.194)和有效性指数(1.145±0.159 vs 1.123±0.196)均无差异(P>0.05),但散光矢量分析显示两组患者成功指数[0.125(0.091,0.200)vs 0.200(0.167,0.250)]、矫正指数[1.000(0.902,1.066)vs 0.834(0.783,0.869)]、变平指数[1.000(0.922,1.079)vs 0.835(0.795,0.870)]均有差异(P<0.01)。结论:角膜地形图引导的FS-LASIK与TICL植入术均能安全、有效地矫正近视散光,角膜地形图引导的FS-LASIK手术矫正散光的效果优于TICL植入术。 展开更多

AIM To investigate the role of interferon regulatory factor 5(IRF5) in reversing polarization of lung macrophages during severe acute pancreatitis(SAP) in vitro.METHODS A mouse SAP model was established by intraperitoneal(ip) injections of 20 μg/kg body weight caerulein. Pathological changes in the lung were observed by hematoxylin and eosin staining. Lung macrophages were isolated from bronchoalveolar lavage fluid. The quantity and purity of lung macrophages were detectedby fluorescence-activated cell sorting and evaluated by real-time polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR). They were treated with IL-4/IRF5 specific siR NA(IRF5 siR NA) to reverse their polarization and were evaluated by detecting markers expression of M1/M2 using RTPCR.RESULTS SAP associated acute lung injury(ALI) was induced successfully by ip injections of caerulein, which was confirmed by histopathology. Lung macrophages expressed high levels of IRF5 as M1 phenotype during the early acute pancreatitis stages. Reduction of IRF5 expression by IRF5 siR NA reversed the action of macrophages from M1 to M2 phenotype in vitro. The expressions of M1 markers, including IRF5(S + IRF5 siR NA vs S + PBS, 0.013 ± 0.01 vs 0.054 ± 0.047, P < 0.01), TNF-α(S + IRF5 siR NA vs S + PBS, 0.0003 ± 0.0002 vs 0.019 ± 0.018, P < 0.001), iN OS(S + IRF5 siR NA vs S + PBS, 0.0003 ± 0.0002 vs 0.026 ± 0.018, P < 0.001) and IL-12(S + IRF5 si RNA vs S + PBS, 0.000005 ± 0.00004 vs 0.024 ± 0.016, P < 0.001), were decreased. In contrast, the expressions of M2 markers, including IL-10(S + IRF5 siR NA vs S + PBS, 0.060 ± 0.055 vs 0.0230 ± 0.018, P < 0.01) and Arg-1(S + IRF5 siR NA vs S + PBS, 0.910 ± 0.788 vs 0.0036 ± 0.0025, P < 0.001), were increased. IRF5 si RNA could reverse the lung macrophage polarization more effectively than IL-4.CONCLUSION Treatment with IRF5 siR NA can reverse the pancreatitisinduced activation of lung macrophages from M1 phenotype to M2 phenotype in SAP associated with ALI. 展开更多

Back-streaming neutrons from the spallation target of the China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS)that emit through the incoming proton channel were exploited to build a white neutron beam facility(the so-called Back-n w... Back-streaming neutrons from the spallation target of the China Spallation Neutron Source(CSNS)that emit through the incoming proton channel were exploited to build a white neutron beam facility(the so-called Back-n white neutron source),which was completed in March 2018.The Back-n neutron beam is very intense,at approximately 29107 n/cm2/s at 55 m from the target,and has a nominal proton beam with a power of 100 kW in the CSNS-I phase and a kinetic energy of 1.6 GeV and a thick tungsten target in multiple slices with modest moderation from the cooling water through the slices.In addition,the excellent energy spectrum spanning from 0.5 eV to 200 MeV,and a good time resolution related tothe time-of-flight measurements make it a typical white neutron source for nuclear data measurements;its overall performance is among that of the best white neutron sources in the world.Equipped with advanced spectrometers,detectors,and application utilities,the Back-n facility can serve wide applications,with a focus on neutron-induced cross-sectional measurements.This article presents an overview of the neutron beam characteristics,the experimental setups,and the ongoing applications at Backn. 展开更多

Albinism in shoots of tea plants is a common phenotypic expression which gives the tea infusion a pleasant umami taste.A novel natural albino mutant tea germplasm containing high amino acids content was found and named as‘Huabai 1’.‘Huabai 1’has white jade tender shoots under low temperature and turns green with increased temperature.In order to understand the molecular mechanism of color change in leaf of‘Huabai 1’,transcriptome analysis was performed to identify albino-associated differentially expressed genes(DEGs).A total of 483 DEGs were identified from white shoots of‘Huabai 1’compared to its green shoots.There were 15 DEGs identified to be involved in phenylpropanoid biosynthesis,which account for the majority of characterized DEGs.The metabolites related to phenylpropanoid biosynthesis revealed similar expression pattern of DEGs.Furthermore,metabolic pathways such as ubiquonone,tyrosine,and flavonoid biosynthesis associated with phenylpropanoid biosynthesis could also contribute to the color change in‘Huabai 1’tender shoots.Protein–protein interaction analysis revealed a hub protein NEDD8(CSA009575)which interacted with many regulated genes in spliceosome,nitrogen metabolism,phenylpropanoid biosynthesis,and other pathways.In conclusion,the findings in this study indicate that the color change of‘Huabai 1’tender shoots is a combined effect of phenylpropanoid biosynthesis pathway and other metabolic pathways including flavonoid biosynthesis in tea plants.Chlorophyll biosynthesis-related genes LHCII and SGR may also play some roles in color change of‘Huabai 1’. 展开更多

Amorphous carbon materials play a vital role in adsorbed natural gas(ANG) storage. One of the key issues in the more prevalent use of ANG is the limited adsorption capacity, which is primarily determined by the porosity and surface characteristics of porous materials. To identify suitable adsorbents, we need a reliable computational tool for pore characterization and, subsequently, quantitative prediction of the adsorption behavior. Within the framework of adsorption integral equation(AIE), the pore-size distribution(PSD) is sensitive to the adopted theoretical models and numerical algorithms through isotherm fitting. In recent years, the classical density functional theory(DFT) has emerged as a common choice to describe adsorption isotherms for AIE kernel construction. However,rarely considered is the accuracy of the mean-field approximation(MFA) commonly used in commercial software. In this work, we calibrate four versions of DFT methods with grand canonical Monte Carlo(GCMC) molecular simulation for the adsorption of CH_4 and CO_2 gas in slit pores at 298 K with the pore width varying from 0.65 to 5.00 nm and pressure from 0.2 to 2.0 MPa. It is found that a weighted-density approximation proposed by Yu(WDA-Yu) is more accurate than MFA and other non-local DFT methods. In combination with the trapezoid discretization of AIE, the WDA-Yu method provides a faithful representation of experimental data, with the accuracy and stability improved by 90.0% and 91.2%, respectively, in comparison with the corresponding results from MFA for fitting CO_2 isotherms. In particular, those distributions in the feature pore width range(FPWR)are proved more representative for the pore-size analysis. The new theoretical procedure for pore characterization has also been tested with the methane adsorption capacity in seven activated carbon samples. 展开更多

目的:观察中低度近视患者植入中央孔型有晶状体眼后房型人工晶状体(ICL V4c)术后的疗效及安全性。方法:选取2016-01/2017-06在我院接受ICL V4c植入术的中低度近视患者20例40眼,术后1wk,1mo,1a进行随访,观察UCVA、BCVA、SE、眼压、角膜... 目的:观察中低度近视患者植入中央孔型有晶状体眼后房型人工晶状体(ICL V4c)术后的疗效及安全性。方法:选取2016-01/2017-06在我院接受ICL V4c植入术的中低度近视患者20例40眼,术后1wk,1mo,1a进行随访,观察UCVA、BCVA、SE、眼压、角膜内皮细胞计数、拱高、术后不良反应及并发症。结果:术后UCVA、BCVA均较术前提高(P<0.01),术后1mo与术后1a UCVA无差异(P>0.05),其余时间点UCVA两两比较均有差异(P<0.05),术后各时间点BCVA两两比较均无差异(P>0.05)。术后SE均较术前降低(P<0.01),术后1wk平均SE接近0D。术后1a手术安全指数为1.05±0.14,手术有效性为1.07±0.14。术后各时间点与术前眼压均无差异(P>0.05)。术后1a角膜内皮细胞密度与术前无差异(P>0.05)。所有研究对象均未见白内障、青光眼、角膜内皮失代偿等。术后满意度为100%。结论:ICL V4c植入术是治疗中低度近视安全而有效的方法,术后1mo后视力稳定。 展开更多

Elemental state matter-heteroatom-doped carbon composites are of great importance for the development of anode in lithium ion batteries(LIBs).In this article,metal–organic frameworks(MOFs)are adopted as precursor to prepare Co composites via metallurgical pyrolysis under controllable conditions.The obtained nitrogen-doped porous carbon-Co nanocomposite possesses core–shell structure(Co@C–N).Co@C–N exhibits the best Li storage performances as anode active matter.After the 200th cycles at current density of 0.2 A g^(-1),a reversible capacity of 870 mAh g^(-1)is retained.A reversible capacity of 275 mAh g^(-1)still maintains with 5 A g^(-1).Co@C–N presents a high reversible capacity with excellent cycle stability.Considering the corresponding experimental and theoretical results,the Co0-based N-doped porous carbon composite is proposed to work as LIBs anode matter.These results provide a new design idea for electrode matters of metallic ion battery,and demonstrate that MOFs pyrolysis is an effective method for the construction of elemental state anode materials. 展开更多

目的:探讨前房内注射头孢呋辛对预防超声乳化术后眼内炎的临床效果。方法:回顾性研究2015-01/2018-06在我院接受超声乳化白内障手术患者3112例4210眼的临床资料,以2015-01/2017-04诊治的1810例2250眼患者为对照组,以2017-05/2018-07诊治... 目的:探讨前房内注射头孢呋辛对预防超声乳化术后眼内炎的临床效果。方法:回顾性研究2015-01/2018-06在我院接受超声乳化白内障手术患者3112例4210眼的临床资料,以2015-01/2017-04诊治的1810例2250眼患者为对照组,以2017-05/2018-07诊治的1302例1960眼患者为试验组。两组患者均行超声乳化联合Ⅰ期人工晶状体植入术。试验组术毕前房内注射头孢呋辛1mg/0. 1mL,对照组前房内未注射抗生素。术后随访1~8mo,观察两组患者的视力和感染性眼内炎发生情况。结果:对照组术后6mo内最佳矫正视力>1. 0者1 344眼,0. 5~0. 9者696眼,0. 1~0. 4者151眼,<0. 1者59眼;而试验组术后6mo内最佳矫正视力>1. 0者1 136眼,0. 5~0. 9者624眼,0. 1~0. 4者146眼,<0. 1者54眼。试验组术后6mo内未见眼内炎发生,对照组3例3眼(0. 13%)术后发生眼内炎,两组比较差异无统计学意义(P=0. 15)。对照组3例3眼眼内炎患者经全身联合眼局部治疗后治愈。试验组前房注药后均未见角膜内皮失代偿、视网膜毒性等药物相关毒性和过敏反应。结论:前房内注射头孢呋辛能有效预防超声乳化术后眼内炎的发生,安全有效。 展开更多

Recent studies indicated that regulatory B cells(Bregs)and nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2)antioxidant signaling pathway play important roles in the pathogenesis of chronic graft-versus-host disease(cGVHD).Mangiferin(MA),a polyphenol compound,has been reported to activate Nrf2/antioxidant-responsive element(ARE)signaling pathway.This study was aimed to investigate the effects of MA on Bregs and Nrf2 antioxidant signaling in murine splenic mononuclear cells(MNCs)in vitro.Our results revealed that MA could increase the Bregs level in murine splenic MNCs.Moreover,MA up-regulated the expression of Bregs-associated immunosuppressive factor interleukin-10(IL-10)by activating the Janus kinase 2(JAK2)/signal transducer and activator of transcription 3(STAT3)and extracellular signal-regulated kinase(ERK)signaling in murine splenic MNCs.Meanwhile,MA inhibited the proinflammatory cytokines IL-2 and interferon-y(INF-y)at both mRNA and protein levels.MA also enhanced the transcription and protein expression of Nrf2 and NADPH quinine oxidoreductase 1(NQOl),whereas decreased that of Kelch-like ECH-associated protein 1(Keapl)in murine splenic MNCs.Moreover,MA promoted the proliferation and inhibited the apoptosis of murine splenic MNCs.These results suggested that MA exerts immunosuppressive effects by upregulating the Bregs level,activating the Nrf2 antioxidant pathway,and inhibiting the expression of pro-immunoinflammatory factors.MA,as a natural immunomodulatory and anti-inflammatory agent,may have a potential role in the prophylaxis and treatment of cGVHD. 展开更多
