Geometry optimization and harmon...A theoretical method to calculate multidimensional Franck-Condon factors including Duschinsky effects is described and used to simulate the photoelectron spectroscopy of the anion O-3. Geometry optimization and harmonic vibrational frequency calculations have been performed on the AX~U4()1A1 state of O3 and AX~U4()2B1 state of O-3. Franck-Condon analyses and spectral simulation were carried out on the first photoelectron band of O-3. The theoretical spectrum obtained by employing CCSD(T)/6-311+G(2d,p) values are in excellent agreement with the observed one. In addition, the equilibrium geometry parameters, re(OO)= 0.135?5±0.000?5 nm and θe(O-O-O) =114.5±0.5°, of the AX~U4()2B1 state of O-3, are derived by employing an iterative Franck-Condon analysis procedure in the spectral simulation.展开更多

Thetopography of the cross section of the epitaxial film by scanning electronic microscope demonstrates good mor-phology and high interracial quality. The high (001) orientation and wide band-gap (E9 > 5.5 eV) of the cubicMg0.55Zn0.45O thin films accord with the guidelines for metal-insulator-silicon (MIS) device applications. Usingthe cubic ternary thin films as insulators, MIS structures have been fabricated. The capacitance-voltage mea-surements show the fiat band voltage shift VFB of 11.8 V and mobile ion density Dmc of 5.57 × 10^10 cm^-2 for theMIS structure. Leakage current density as low as ∽ 10^-7 A/cm^2 is obtained at E = 700 kV/cm by the current-voltage measurements. These unique structural and electrical properties of the fabricated MIS devices indicatethat cubic MgZnO materials could become a new candidate for high-κ dielectrics used in silicon integrated circuittechnologies.展开更多

Plant cystatins or phytocystatins are cysteine proteinase inhibitors exist widely in different plant species. Because they can kill insects by inhibiting the digestive function of the cysteine proteinase in gut, they ...Plant cystatins or phytocystatins are cysteine proteinase inhibitors exist widely in different plant species. Because they can kill insects by inhibiting the digestive function of the cysteine proteinase in gut, they are believed to play an important role in plant’s defense against pests. Phytocystatins contain the conserved QXVXG motif and show some features on their sequence different to animal cystatins. After sequencing the protein directly and the cDNA clone, a large number of plant cystatins have been characterized. A multialignment with BLAST software and a detail analysis of 38 phytocystatins show that phytocystatins possess a specific conserved amino acid sequence [LRVI]-[AGT]-[RQKE]-[FY]- [AS]-[VI]-X-[EGHDQV]-[HYFQ]-N different to the conserved sequence demonstrated by Margis in 1998. This conserved sequence can be enough to detect with exclusivity phytocystatin sequences on protein data banks. A classification of these phytocystatins is performed and they can be divided into 3 groups according to their features on amino acid sequence, and the group-I can be still divided into 3 subgroups based on the feature of their amino acid and genomic sequence. By the CLUSTALX software, the most conserved nucleotide sequences of phytocystatins were found, which could be used to design the degenerate premiers to search new phytocystatins with PCR reaction.展开更多
