Objective:To examine the efficacy and safety of anlotinib as first-line therapy to treat locally advanced or metastatic soft-tissue sarcoma.Methods:This is a single-arm trial.Treatment-naïve patients(≥14 years)w...Objective:To examine the efficacy and safety of anlotinib as first-line therapy to treat locally advanced or metastatic soft-tissue sarcoma.Methods:This is a single-arm trial.Treatment-naïve patients(≥14 years)with locally advanced or metastatic soft tissue sarcoma were eligible.Each treatment cycle lasted for 3 weeks,and included liposomal doxorubicin(40-50 mg/m^(2))on day 1 and anlotinib(12 mg)on days 8-21.Starting from the 9th cycle,treatment consisted of only anlotinib.Treatment continued until disease progression or intolerable toxicities.The primary efficacy end point was progression-free survival(PFS).Results:Eight patients were enrolled between July 25,2019 and January 8,2020.The median number of treatment cycles was 5.5.Within 5.9 months median follow-up,PFS events occurred in 4(4/8,50%)patients.The median PFS was 11.3 months and the 6-month PFS rate was 56%.No patients attained complete response and 2 patients(fibrosarcoma,1 patient and undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma,1 patient)achieved partial response.Three patients(fibrosarcoma,2 patients and synovial sarcoma,1 patient)had stable disease.The objective response rate was 25%(2/8)for the study population,and the disease control rate was 75%(6/8).No new safety concerns emerged.Conclusions:Anlotinib plus liposomal doxorubicin demonstrated antitumor activities in previously untreated locally advanced or metastatic soft tissue sarcomas.Due to the small sample size,further investigations with a larger population should be undertaken to confirm the study findings.展开更多

The correlations between major chemi...The chemical composition of 8 different special glutinous rice varieties was analyzed,and its effects on the physical and chemical properties of the wines brewed were investigated. The correlations between major chemical constituents and quality of glutinous rice were analyzed. The results show that the contents of the major chemical constituents in the special glutinous rice varieties were not much different,and they all ranked as starch’s > protein’s > fat’s. After 4-8 weeks of fermentation,the total acidity decreased with time( excepting Heixiangnuo),the total residual sugar reduced significantly,and the alcohol content increased significantly. The correlations between starch content of glutinous rice and physical and chemical indices and sensory quality of its brewed wine were not significant. There are positive correlations between protein content and various indices,and the correlation with total acidity reached the significant level. Fat content was negatively correlated with alcohol content,and positively correlated with sensory quality.展开更多
(CoCrFeNi)95Nb5 high entropy alloy(HEA)coatings were successfully fabricated on a substrate of Q235 steel by laser cladding technology.These(CoCrFeNi)95Nb5 HEA coatings possess excellent properties,particularly corros...(CoCrFeNi)95Nb5 high entropy alloy(HEA)coatings were successfully fabricated on a substrate of Q235 steel by laser cladding technology.These(CoCrFeNi)95Nb5 HEA coatings possess excellent properties,particularly corrosion resistance,which is clearly superior to that of some typical bulk HEA and common engineering alloys.In order to obtain appropriate laser cladding preparation process parameters,the effects of laser energy density on the microstructure,microhardness,and corrosion resistance of(CoCrFeNi)95Nb5 HEA coating were closely studied.Results showed that as the laser energy density increases,precipitation of the Laves phase in(CoCrFeNi)95Nb5 HEA coating gradually decreases,and diffusion of the Fe element in the substrate intensifies,affecting the integrity of the(CoCrFeNi)95Nb5 HEA.This decreases the microhardness of(CoCrFeNi)95Nb5 HEA coatings.Moreover,the relative content of Cr2O3,Cr(OH)3,and Nb2O5 in the surface passive film of the coating decreases with increasing energy density,causing corrosion resistance to decrease.This study demonstrates the controllability of a high-performance HEA coating using laser cladding technology,which has significance for the laser cladding preparation of other CoCrFeNi-system HEA coatings.展开更多

The ceramic particles were gradient distributed in the Al_(0.3) CoCrFe Ni matrix, and the hardness of the composite material gradually decreased along the thickness direction. The anti-penetration performance of the gradient composites was simulated using the ANSYS/LS-DYNA explicit simulation program. The results demonstrate that the distribution of the ceramic particles strongly affected the mechanical properties and the anti-penetration performance of the composites. With the same total ceramic volume fraction, the gradient composites exhibit better anti-penetration performance than the corresponding ceramic–metal interlayer composites. The more uneven the ceramic distribution, the greater the elastic modulus and yield stress of the surface layer and, thus, the better the anti-penetration performance.展开更多

Methods The R language was used for generating the Graphical Users Interface and implementing most functions. Some Practical Extraction and Report Language (Perl) scripts were used for parsing source files. Results We developed a graphical R package named miRE, which was designated for the analysis of microRNA functions, genomic organization, etc. This package provided effective and convenient tools for molecular biologists to deal with routine analyses in microRNA-related research. With its help, the users would be able to build a desktop- centered microRNA research environment quite easily and effectively. miRE is freely available at http://www. biosino.org/~kanghu/WorkPresentation/miRE/miRE.html. A detailed user manual and tutorials with example code and image are also available. Conclusion miRE is a tool providing an open-source, user-friendly, integrated interface for microRNA-related analysis. BACKGROUND Acute iatrogenic colorectal perforation(AICP)is a serious adverse event,and immediate AICP usually requires early endoscopic closure.Immediate surgical repair is required if the perforation is large,the end...BACKGROUND Acute iatrogenic colorectal perforation(AICP)is a serious adverse event,and immediate AICP usually requires early endoscopic closure.Immediate surgical repair is required if the perforation is large,the endoscopic closure fails,or the patient's clinical condition deteriorates.In cases of delayed AICP(>4 h),surgical repair or enterostomy is usually performed,but delayed rectal perforation is rare.CASE SUMMARY A 53-year-old male patient underwent endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD)at a local hospital for the treatment of a laterally spreading tumor of the rectum,and the wound was closed by an endoscopist using a purse-string suture.Unfortunately,the patient then presented with delayed rectal perforation(6 h after ESD).The surgeons at the local hospital attempted to treat the perforation and wound surface using transrectal endoscopic microsurgery(TEM);however,the perforation worsened and became enlarged,multiple injuries to the mucosa around the perforation and partial tearing of the rectal mucosa occurred,and the internal anal sphincter was damaged.As a result,the perforation became more complicated.Due to the increased bleeding,surgical treatment with suturing could not be performed using TEM.Therefore,the patient was sent to our medical center for follow-up treatment.After a multidisciplinary discussion,we believed that the patient should undergo an enterostomy.However,the patient strongly refused this treatment plan.Because the position of the rectal perforation was relatively low and the intestine had been adequately prepared,we attempted to treat the complicated delayed rectal perforation using a self-expanding covered mental stent(SECMS)in combination with a transanal ileus drainage tube(TIDT).CONCLUSION For patients with complicated delayed perforation in the lower rectum and adequate intestinal preparation,a SECMS combined with a TIDT can be used and may result in very good outcomes.展开更多

We aimed to construct a scoring system (Shanghai Score) for individualized prognosis estimation and adjuvant treatment evaluation. Methods: A multivariate Cox proportional hazards model was constructed based on 4166 HCC patients undergoing resection during 2001-2008 at Zhongshan Hospital. Age, hepatitis B surface antigen, hepatitis B e antigen, partial thromboplastin time, total bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase, y-glutamyltransferase, a-fetoprotein, tumor size, cirrhosis, vascular invasion, differentiation, encapsulation, and tumor number were finally retained by a backward step-down selection process with the Akaike information criterion. The Harrell's concordance index (C-index) was used to measure model performance. Shanghai Score is calculated by summing the products of the 14 variable values times each variable's corresponding regression coefficient. Totally 1978 patients from Zhongshan Hospital undergoing resection during 2009-2012, 808 patients from Eastern Hepatobiliary Surgery Hospital during 2008-2010, and 244 patients from Tianjin Medical University Cancer Hospital during 2010-2011 were enrolled as external validation cohorts. Shanghai Score was also implied in evaluating adjuvant treatment choices based on propensity score matching analysis.Results: Shanghai Score showed good calibration and discrimination in postsurgical HCC patients. The bootstrap-corrected C-index (confidence interval [CI]) was 0.74 for overall survival (OS) and 0.68 for recurrence-free survival (RFS) in derivation cohort (4166 patients), and in the three independent validation cohorts, the CIs for OS ranged 0.70 0.72 and that for RFS ranged 0.63 0.68. Furthermore, Shanghai Score provided evaluation for adjuvant treatment choices (transcatheter arterial chemoembolization or interferon-a). The identified subset of patients at low risk could be ideal candidates for curative surgery, and subsets of patients at moderate or high risk could be recommended with possible adjuvant therapies after surgery. Finally, a web server with individualized outcome prediction and treatment recommendation was constructed. Conclusions: Based on the largest cohort up to date, we established Shanghai Score - an individualized outcome prediction system specifically designed for Chinese HCC patients after surgery. BACKGROUND Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)stands as the predominant infectious agent linked to the onset of gastritis,peptic ulcer diseases,and gastric cancer(GC).Identified as the exclusive bacterial factor associated ...BACKGROUND Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)stands as the predominant infectious agent linked to the onset of gastritis,peptic ulcer diseases,and gastric cancer(GC).Identified as the exclusive bacterial factor associated with the onset of GC,it is classified as a group 1 carcinogen by the World Health Organization.The elimination of H.pylori plays a crucial role in the primary prevention of GC.While the prevalence has declined in recent decades,H.pylori infection is still highly prevalent in China,accounting for a significant part of the disease burden of GC.Therefore,updated prevalence information for H.pylori infection,especially regional and demographic variations in China,is an important basis for the design of targeted strategies that will be effective for the prevention of GC and application of policies for H.pylori control.AIM To methodically evaluate the occurrence of H.pylori infection throughout China and establish a reference point for subsequent investigations.METHODS A systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted following established guidelines,as detailed in our methodology section.RESULTS Our review synthesized data from 152 studies,covering a sample of 763827 individuals,314423 of whom were infected with H.pylori.We evaluated infection rates in China's Mainland and the combined prevalence of H.pylori was 42.8%(95%CI:40.7-44.9).Subgroup analysis indicated the highest prevalence in Northwest China at 51.3%(95%CI:45.6-56.9),and in Qinghai Province,the prevalence reached 60.2%(95%CI:46.5-73.9).The urea breath test,which recorded the highest infection rate,showed a prevalence of 43.7%(95%CI:41.4-46.0).No notable differences in infection rates were observed between genders.Notably,the prevalence among the elderly was significantly higher at 44.5%(95%CI:41.9-47.1),compared to children,who showed a prevalence of 27.5%(95%CI:19.58-34.7).CONCLUSION Between 2014 and 2023,the prevalence of H.pylori infection in China decreased to 42.8%,down from the previous decade.However,the infection rates vary considerably across different geographical areas,among various populations,and by detection methods employed.展开更多

The tensile strength of this alloy can reach a maximum at 1,251±10 MPa, and the strain to failure can stay at as large as 62% at the liquid helium temperature. We ascribe the high strength and ductility to the low stacking fault energy at extremely low temperatures,which facilitates the activation of deformation twinning.Moreover, the FCC→HCP(hexagonal close-packed) transition and serration lead to the sudden decline of ductility below 77 K. The dynamical modeling and analysis of serrations at 4.2 and 20 K verify the unstable state due to the FCC→HCP transition. The deformation twinning together with phase transformation at liquid helium temperature produces an adequate strain-hardening rate that sustains the stable plastic flow at high stresses, resulting in the serration feature.展开更多

文摘BACKGROUND Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)stands as the predominant infectious agent linked to the onset of gastritis,peptic ulcer diseases,and gastric cancer(GC).Identified as the exclusive bacterial factor associated with the onset of GC,it is classified as a group 1 carcinogen by the World Health Organization.The elimination of H.pylori plays a crucial role in the primary prevention of GC.While the prevalence has declined in recent decades,H.pylori infection is still highly prevalent in China,accounting for a significant part of the disease burden of GC.Therefore,updated prevalence information for H.pylori infection,especially regional and demographic variations in China,is an important basis for the design of targeted strategies that will be effective for the prevention of GC and application of policies for H.pylori control.AIM To methodically evaluate the occurrence of H.pylori infection throughout China and establish a reference point for subsequent investigations.METHODS A systematic review and meta-analysis was conducted following established guidelines,as detailed in our methodology section.RESULTS Our review synthesized data from 152 studies,covering a sample of 763827 individuals,314423 of whom were infected with H.pylori.We evaluated infection rates in China's Mainland and the combined prevalence of H.pylori was 42.8%(95%CI:40.7-44.9).Subgroup analysis indicated the highest prevalence in Northwest China at 51.3%(95%CI:45.6-56.9),and in Qinghai Province,the prevalence reached 60.2%(95%CI:46.5-73.9).The urea breath test,which recorded the highest infection rate,showed a prevalence of 43.7%(95%CI:41.4-46.0).No notable differences in infection rates were observed between genders.Notably,the prevalence among the elderly was significantly higher at 44.5%(95%CI:41.9-47.1),compared to children,who showed a prevalence of 27.5%(95%CI:19.58-34.7).CONCLUSION Between 2014 and 2023,the prevalence of H.pylori infection in China decreased to 42.8%,down from the previous decade.However,the infection rates vary considerably across different geographical areas,among various populations,and by detection methods employed.

文摘Seldom could metals and alloys maintain excellent properties in cryogenic condition, such as the ductility, owing to the restrained dislocation motion.However, a face-centered-cubic(FCC) CoCrFeNi highentropy alloy(HEA) with great ductility is investigated under the cryogenic environment. The tensile strength of this alloy can reach a maximum at 1,251±10 MPa, and the strain to failure can stay at as large as 62% at the liquid helium temperature. We ascribe the high strength and ductility to the low stacking fault energy at extremely low temperatures,which facilitates the activation of deformation twinning.Moreover, the FCC→HCP(hexagonal close-packed) transition and serration lead to the sudden decline of ductility below 77 K. The dynamical modeling and analysis of serrations at 4.2 and 20 K verify the unstable state due to the FCC→HCP transition. The deformation twinning together with phase transformation at liquid helium temperature produces an adequate strain-hardening rate that sustains the stable plastic flow at high stresses, resulting in the serration feature.
