Growth and x-Ray Diffraction Study of a New Laser Crystal Nd^(3+): NaY(WO_(4))_(2)

A new laser crystal Nd^(3+):NaY(WO_(4))_(2) up to 10x10x20mm with low threshold can be obtained from the system of(WO_(4))_(3)-Na_(2)WO_(4) by top-seeded solution growth method.The crystal rod of Ф2,5×5mm was pumped by xenon Hashlamp and 1.06/zm laser output was gained.Using a D/max-rA type diflractometer,the x-ray powder diffraction data of NaY(WO_(4))_(2) were obtained.

XENON FLASH LAMP PUMPED SELF-FREQUENCY DOUBLING NYAB PULSED LASER

Neodymium doped yttrium aluminum borate(NYAB)crystals with sizes up to 45mm have been grown successfully.NYAB rod of φ4×12mm was pumped by xenon flash iamp,and several mJ of 0,53μm green laser output was obtained.The oscillation threshold,the pulse duration,the laser beam polarization,and the laser beam divergence were measured to be 78mJ,100nst 90% and 2mrad,respectively.

LASER PERFORMANCE OF LARGE NEODYMIUM ALUMINUM BORATE(NdAl_(3)(BO_(3))_(4))CRYSTALS

Neodymium Aluminum Borate crystals with dimensions up to 20 × 20 × 45mm^(3) have been grown successfully.Laser rod ofФ3.2m × 23.7mn can be fabricated from the crystal.The relationship between the luminescence concentration quenching effect and the structure characteristics of the crystals have been studied.The pulsed laser performance of this crystal at an energy output of 422mJ,is reported.

基于掺Er^3+晶体的1550 nm波段全固态激光研究进展

人眼安全1550 nm波段激光位于良好的大气传输窗口,以及室温工作的Ge和InGaAs探测器的探测灵敏区,可被广泛应用于激光雷达、激光测距和遥感测量等领域。利用激光二极管泵浦Er^3+掺杂晶体是一种直接输出1550 nm波段紧凑型全固态激光的有效方法。本文主要综述了近年来采用Er^3+掺杂晶体作为增益介质的1550 nm波段全固态激光的研究进展,并对该波段激光的进一步发展进行了展望。
