目的探讨不同类型初诊多发性骨髓瘤(MM)患者的凝血指标变化及其与血清球蛋白的相关性。方法检测80例MM患者(其中轻链型24例、Ig G型36例、Ig A型20例)与38例健康体检者的凝血指标及血清球蛋白水平,比较各组间凝血指标变化,并分析其与血... 目的探讨不同类型初诊多发性骨髓瘤(MM)患者的凝血指标变化及其与血清球蛋白的相关性。方法检测80例MM患者(其中轻链型24例、Ig G型36例、Ig A型20例)与38例健康体检者的凝血指标及血清球蛋白水平,比较各组间凝血指标变化,并分析其与血清球蛋白相关性。结果 Ig A组和Ig G组MM患者的凝血酶原时间(PT)、活化部分凝血活酶时间(APTT)高于轻链组和对照组(P<0.05);各组间纤维蛋白原(FIB)、凝血酶时间(TT)水平差异无统计学意义(P>0.05);轻链组D-二聚体高于Ig A和Ig G组(P<0.05)。80例MM患者中,Ig A组和Ig G组MM患者的血清球蛋白水平高于轻链组(P<0.05);血清球蛋白水平与PT、APTT呈正相关(r=0.713和0.613),与D-二聚体无相关性。结论 MM患者存在凝血异常,Ig A、Ig G型MM更易于影响凝血系统,轻链型MM更倾向形成血栓,且MM的PT、APTT异常与血清球蛋白水平相关。 展开更多

Objective:This study aimed to explore the efficacy and safety of Qingxin Fupi Jieyu formula(the herbal formula has the function of clear away the heart fire,tonify spleen,and relieve depression,QXFPJYF)in treating digestive tract cancer-related cognitive impairment(CRCI).Methods:28 subjects with digestive tract CRCI were treated with QXFPJYF for 6 weeks.The scores of Montreal Cognitive Assessment and Mini-Mental State Examination were observed at four-time points(baseline,week 2,week 4,week 6).Besides,anxiety and depression scores and tumor markers were measured.Results:The scores of Montreal Cognitive Assessment and various fields were elevated steadily after treatment,such as visuospatial/executive,attention,language,delayed recall,and orientation.The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05)besides language score.The scores of Mini-Mental State Examination and various factors were elevated gradually at week 2,week 4 and week 6,including language and praxis,attention and calculation,recall and orientation,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05)except for recall score.The results also showed the change of tumor markers were not obvious,but anxious and depressed emotions were improved.More importantly,no subjects developed with obvious adverse reactions during the study.Conclusion:The finding indicated that QXFPJYF treated digestive tract CRCI with great efficacy and safety,which improved cognitive function from several fields.Nevertheless,the current study was limited by sample and medical ethics,and which was a self-control trial,some limitations needed to be acknowledged,further high-quality research is required to explore and verify it. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Sensitive,novel,and accurate biomarkers for the detection of physiological changes in type 2 diabetes(T2DM)at an early stage are urgently needed.AIM To build a multi-parameter diagnostic model for the early detection of T2DM.METHODS MiR-148b,miR-223,miR-130a,and miR-19a levels were detected by real-time polymerase chain reaction in serum of healthy controls,individuals with impaired glucose regulation,and T2DM patients.The diagnostic value of miR-148b,miR-223,miR-130a,and miR-19a,alone or in combination,was analyzed.RESULTS The area under the curve(AUC)of miR-223,which had the best diagnostic value for discriminating the impaired glucose regulation and T2DM groups,was 0.84,and the sensitivity and specificity were 73.37%and 81.37%,respectively.The AUC of the four-miRNA signature was 0.90,and the sensitivity and specificity were 78.82%and 88.23%,respectively.In the validation set,the AUC was 0.88,and the sensitivity and specificity were 78.36%and 87.63%,respectively.CONCLUSION In summary,we have built a multi-parameter diagnostic model consisting of miR-148b,miR-223,miR-130a,and miR-19a for the detection of T2DM.It may be a potential tool for the early detection of T2DM. 展开更多

Radiotherapy is an essential method in the comprehensive treatment of malignant tumors.However,radiation proctitis(RP)is a common complication of pelvic tumors after radiotherapy.Due to RP's various etiology and complex pathogenesis,it is currently no standard for traditional Chinese medicine(TCM)treatment.Professor Yuan-hong Zhao believes that refractory RP,which is named chronic hemorrhagic radiation proctitis(CHRP),should be classified as"Intestinal Wind Bleeding"(Bleeding like a note before defecation,bright red blood,no swelling and pain in the anus)and"Intestinal Afflux"(Refers to the symptoms of pus and blood in the lower mucus,similar to ulcerative colitis,peptic ulcer and other diseases in modern medicine.)in TCM.The critical pathogenesis of CHRP lies in local stasis and collaterals injury of intestinal collaterals.In general,it is a syndrome of excess and scarcity.External treatment with TCM is the preferred treatment strategy for CHRP,and the primary way is to disperse blood stasis and detoxify and nourish the intestinal collaterals. 展开更多

The pandemic COVID-19 is certainly one of the most severe infectious diseases in human history.In the last 2 years,the COVID-19 pandemic has caused over 418.6 million confirmed cases and 5.8 million deaths world-wide.... The pandemic COVID-19 is certainly one of the most severe infectious diseases in human history.In the last 2 years,the COVID-19 pandemic has caused over 418.6 million confirmed cases and 5.8 million deaths world-wide.Young people make up the majority of all infected COVID-19 cases,but the mortality rate is relatively lower compared to older age groups.Currently,about 55.04%individuals have been fully vaccinated rapidly approaching to herd immunity globally.The challenge is that new SARS-CoV-2 variants with potential to evade immunity from natural infection or vaccine continue to emerge.Breakthrough infections have occurred in both SARS-CoV-2 naturally infected and vaccinated individuals,but breakthrough infections tended to exhibit mild or asymptomatic symptoms and lower mortality rates.Therefore,immunity from natural infection or vaccination can reduce SARS-CoV-2 pathogenicity,but neither can completely prevent SARS-CoV-2 infection/reinfection.Fortunately,the morbidity and mortality of COVID-19 continue to decline.The 7-day average cumulative case fatality of COVID-19 has decreased from 12.3%on the February 25,2020,to 0.27%on January 09,2022,which could be related to a decreased SARS-CoV-2 variant virulence,vaccine immunization,and/or better treatment of patients.In conclusion,elimination of SARS-CoV-2 in the world could be impossible or at least an arduous task with a long way to go.The best strategy to prevent COVID-19 pandemic is to expand inoculation rate of effective vaccines.As the population reaches herd immunity,the mortality rate of COVID-19 may continue to decrease,and COVID-19 could eventually become another common cold. 展开更多
