ANSB714) on relieving zearalenone(ZEA) and deoxynivalenol(DON) toxicosis in immature gilts. Methods: A total of forty pre-pubertal female gilts(61.42 ± 1.18 kg) were randomly allocated to four diet treatments: CO(positive control); MO(negative control, ZEA 596.86 μg/kg feed and DON 796 μg/kg feed);COA(CO + 2 g MBA/kg feed); MOA(MO + 2 g MBA/kg feed). Each treatment contained 10 replicates with 1 gilt per replicate. Gilts were housed in an environmentally controlled room with the partially slatted floor. Results: During the entire experimental period of 28 d, average daily gain(ADG) and average daily feed intake(ADFI)of gilts in MO group was significantly reduced compared with those in CO group. The vulva size of gilts was significantly higher in MO group than CO group. In addition, significant increases in the plasma levels of Ig A,Ig G, IL-8, IL-10 and PRL were determined in MO group compared with that in CO group. ZEA and DON in the diet upregulated apoptotic caspase-3 in ovaries and uteri, along with down-regulated the anti-apoptotic protein Bcl-2 in ovaries. The supplementation of MBA into diets co-contaminated with ZEA and DON significantly increased ADG, decreased the vulva sizes, reduced the levels of Ig G, IL-8 and PRL in plasma, and regulated apoptosis in ovaries and uteri of gilts. Conclusions: The present results indicated that feeding diet contaminated with ZEA and DON simultaneously(596.86 μg/kg + 796 μg/kg) had detrimental effects on growth performance, plasma immune function and reproductive status of gilts. And MBA could reduce the negative impacts of these two toxins, believed as a promising feed additive for mitigating toxicosis of ZEA and DON at low levels in gilts.展开更多

Ellagic acid(EA) has been reported to present antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties on human and animals in many aspects. This study was conducted to evaluate the effect and mechanism of EA in relieving SNE in broilers induced by C. perfringens. Results: C. perfringens challenge decreased body weight(BW), average daily gain(ADG), jejunal villi height/crypt depth(V/C) ratio, the activity of catalase(CAT) and the mRNA expression of zonula occludens 1(ZO-1) in jejunal mucosa of broilers. While feed conversion ratios(FCR), jejunal crypt depth(CD), the activities of myeloperoxidase(MPO) and diamine oxidase(DAO), as well as the concentrations of interleukin 6(IL-6), C-reactive protein(CRP) and procalcitonin(PCT) in serum, the activities of inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS) and lysozyme(LZM), the concentration of malondialdehyde(MDA), and the mRNA expressions of claudin-2, TNF-α, IL-1β, TLR-4, TLR-2, NF-κB,JAK3, STAT6 and iNOS in jejunal mucosa of broilers were increased by C. perfringens challenge. Dietary EA supplement relieved these adverse effects, and heightened jejunal villi height(VH), the concentration of D-xylose in plasma, activity of superoxide dismutase(SOD), and the mRNA expression of occludin in jejunal mucosa of broilers. The alpha diversity of cecal microbiota indicated that dietary EA supplement increased observed species and Shannon index. C. perfringens challenge increased the relative abundance of Firmicutes and decreased the relative abundance of Desulfobacterota in cecal microbiota. EA increased the relative abundance of Firmicutes in cecal microbiota. LEfSe analysis showed that C. perfringens challenge triggered the imbalance of cecal microbiota in broilers, dietary EA supplementation led to a small beneficial effect on microbiota, while the simultaneous effect of them seemed to stimulate the immune function of broilers by improving the microbiota balance. Conclusions: Dietary EA ameliorated C. perfringens-induced SNE in broilers via regulating jejunal inflammation signaling pathways TLR/NF-κB and JAK3/STAT6, relieving jejunal oxidative stress and balancing cecal microbiota to inhibit intestinal barrier damage, prevent systemic inflammatory response and improve nutrient absorption capacity, finally protect and enhance growth performance of broilers.展开更多

An increasing number of studies have shown that the endoplasmic reticulums(ER) or mitochondria have important effects on oocyte quality, but there has been no study of the effect of mitochondria-associated ER membranes(MAMs) on oocyte quality. The present study was designed to assess whether the level of MAM and MAM-related proteins were different in oocytes from obese and control mice. Results: First, oocytes from mice with high-fat-diet(HFD)-induced obesity had higher levels(either greater numbers or a higher proportion for the same numbers) of MAM than oocytes from control mice. The abundance of MAM-related proteins in oocytes from obese mice was significantly greater at both the messenger RNA and protein levels, including inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor, type 1(IP3R1), inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor, type 2(IP3 R2) and phosphofurin acidic cluster sorting protein 2(PACS-2). Further, there was an increase in mitochondrial Ca^(2+)([Ca^(2+)]_m) which was associated with increased apoptosis and compromised cytoplasmic maturation in oocytes from obese mice. Down-regulation of MAM-related protein IP3R1 in oocytes from obese mice decreased [Ca^2+]_mand apoptosis and improved cytoplasmic maturation but did not reduce the overal MAM level. However, down-regulating MAM-related protein PACS-2 in oocytes from obese mice did reduce the level of MAM and [Ca^(2+)]_m, which decreased the rate of apoptosis and improved cytoplasmic maturation of oocytes from obese mice. Conclusions: It is possible that enriched MAM could increase [Ca^(2+)]_m, and this increase has been found to be associated with increased apoptosis and compromised cytoplasmic maturation in oocytes from obese mice. This finding suggests a novel therapeutic target for obesity-induced oocyte defects.展开更多

Mycotoxins pose huge health threat to animals and humans. As well, mycotoxins bring enormous economic losses in food industry and animal husbandry annually. Thus, strategies to eliminate or inactivate mycotoxins in food and feed are urgently needed. Traditional physical and chemical methods have some limitations such as limited efficacy, safety issues, losses in the nutritional value and the palatability of feeds, as well as the expensive equipment required to implement these techniques. Biological degradation of mycotoxins has shown promise because it works under mild, environmentally friendly conditions. Aflatoxin(AF), zearalenone(ZEA) and deoxynivalenol(DON) are considered the most economically important mycotoxins in terms of their high prevalence and significant negative effects on animal performance. Therefore, this review will comprehensively describe the biological degradation of AF, ZEA and DON by microorganisms(including fungi and bacteria) and specific enzymes isolated from microbial systems that can convert mycotoxins with varied efficiency to non-or less toxic products. Finally, some strategies and advices on existing difficulties of biodegradation research are also briefly proposed in this paper.展开更多

Here we investigate the effect of anionson the longevity of a p-dopable polymer through comparing two aqueous zinc-based electrolytes. Galvanostaticcycling studies reveal the polymer has better capacity retention in the presence of triflate anions than that withsulfate anions. Based on electrode microstructural analysis and evolution profiles of the cell stacking pressure, theorigin of capacity decay is ascribed to mechanical fractures induced by volume change of the polymer activematerials during repeated cycling. The volume change of the polymer with the triflate anion is 61% less than thatwith the sulfate anion, resulting in fewer cracks in the electrodes. The difference is related to the different anionsolvation structures—the triflate anion has fewer solvated water molecules compared with the sulfate anion, leading to smaller volume expansion. This work highlights that anions with low solvation degree are preferablefor long-term cycling.展开更多

And MBA could reduce the negative impacts of these two toxins, believed as a promising feed additive for mitigating toxicosis of ZEA and DON at low levels in gilts.

文摘Background:Zearalenone(ZEA)is a resorcylic acid lactone derivative derived from various Fusarium species that are widely found in food and feeds. The molecular structure of ZEA resembles that of the mammalian hormone 17β-oestradiol,thus zearalenone and its metabolites are known to compete with endogenous hormones for estrogen receptors binding sites and to activate transcription of oestrogen-responsive genes. However, the effect of long-term low-dose ZEA exposure on the reproductive response to Bacillus subtilis ANSB01G culture for first-parity gilts has not yet been investigated. This study was conducted to investigate the toxic effects of ZEA as an estrogen receptor selective modulator and the alleviating effects of Bacillus subtilis ANSB01G cultures as ZEA biodegraders in pregnant sows during their first parity. Results:A total of 80 first-parity gilts(Yorkshire×Landrace)were randomly assigned to four dietary treatments during gestation:CO(positive control);MO(negative control,246μg ZEA/kg diet);COA(CO+B.subtilis ANSB01G culture with 2×10^(9)CFU/kg diet);MOA(MO+B.subtilis ANSB01G culture with 2×10^(9)CFU/kg diet). There were 20 replications per treatment with one gilt per replicate.Feeding low-dose ZEA naturally contaminated diets disordered most of reproductive hormones secretion and affected estrogen receptor-αand estrogen receptor-βconcentrations in serum and specific organs and led to moderate histopathological changes of gilts, but did not cause significant detrimental effects on reproductive performance. The addition of Bacillus subtilis ANSB01G culture to the diet can effectively relieve the competence of ZEA to estrogen receptor and the disturbance of reproductive hormones secretion, and then ameliorate toxicosis of ZEA in gilts. Conclusions:Collectively, our study investigated the effects of feeding low-dose ZEA on reproduction in pregnant sows during their first parity.Feeding low-dose ZEA could modulate estrogen receptor-αand-βconcentrations in specific organs, cause disturbance of reproductive hormones and vulva swelling, and damage organ histopathology and up-regulate apoptosis in sow models.Diet with Bacillus subtilis ANSB01G alleviated negative effects of the ZEA on gilts to some extent.

文摘In industrial Internet of Things systems, state estimation plays an important role in multisensor cooperative sensing. However, the state information received by remote control center experiences random delay, which inevitably affects the state estimation performance. Moreover, the computation and storage burden of remote control center is very huge, due to the large amount of state information from all sensors. To address this issue,we propose a layered network architecture and design the mobile edge computing(MEC)enabled cooperative sensing scheme. In particular,we first characterize the impact of random delay on the error of state estimation.Based on this, the cooperative sensing and resource allocation are optimized to minimize the state estimation error. The formulated constrained minimization problem is a mixed integer programming problem, which is effectively solved with problem decomposition based on the information content of delivered data packets. The improved marine predators algorithm(MPA)is designed to choose the best edge estimator for each sensor to pretreat the sensory information. Finally, the simulation results show the advantage and effectiveness of proposed scheme in terms of estimation accuracy.

文摘Background: Maternal obesity alters oocytes and subsequent fetal metabolism. This finding suggests a novel therapeutic target for obesity-induced oocyte defects.

文摘Objective:To explore the correlations between five-pattern personality scores and autonomic nervous response indicators in Chinese female college students,to provide a foundation for further exploration of the modern physiological basis of these personality types. Methods:Subjects were asked to fill in 'The Five-Pattern Personality Inventory' (revised edition 2008).Taiyang,Shaoyang,yin-yang balance,Taiyin, and Shaoyin personalities were scored. The galvanic skin response and heart rate, and the low frequency (LF),high frequency (HF),and LF/HF ratio of heart rate variability were collected using a 16-channel physiological recorder (BIOPAC MP150).Relationship between the five-pattern personality scores and autonomic nervous response indicators was analyzed using bivariate correlation. Results:The five-pattern personality scores of the subjects were compared with national averages. The Taiyang and Shaoyang personality scores of the subjects were significantly lower than the overall national average, the national female average, and the national female average in the 18-29-year-old age group (all P <.05).The Taiyang personality score was negatively correlated with both the LF and the HF (P =.009 and P =.001,respectively),and the yin-yang balance personality score was significantly negatively correlated with the galvanic skin response (P =.026).Conclusion:There is a relationship between five-pattern personality scores and autonomic nervous response indicators in Chinese female college students. The higher the Taiyang personality score, the lower the sympathetic and vagus nerve excitability;the higher the yinyang balance personality score, the lower the sympathetic nerve excitability.
文摘'Harmony between the heart and kidney' refers to the physiological relationship between these two zang organs in Chinese medicine, while 'disharmony between the heart and kidney' (also called disharmony between fire and water) refers to the pathological state. The pattern of disharmony between the heart and kidney is widely observed in patients with insomnia, anxiety disorder and menopausal syndrome,etc..In order to gain a full and systematical understanding of this pattern, from the perspective of ancient Chinese philosophy and zang-fu theory in Chinese medicine,we systematically reviewed and discussed the functions and physiological characteristics of the heart and kidney, the origin and development of theories relating to heart-kidney relationship, the pathogenesis and identification of the pattern,as well as the commonly used classical formulas for its treatment, including Coptis and DonkeyHide Gelatin Decoction (Huánglián (E)jiāo Tāng) and Grand Communication Pill (Jiāotài Wán).Two examples of clinical modifications of these formulas in the treatment of insomnia and menopausal syndrome are provided in this article. It should be noted that in clinical practice, these formulas should be used flexibly, and modified in accordance to the condition of the patient.

文摘Industrial pharmaceutical wastewater usually contains butyl acetate(BA)with a concentration of 1 wt%-7 wt%,and the traditional method for BA recovery is distillation with high energy consumption.Adsorption method is developed to recover BA with low concentration for the high efficiency and low energy consumption.Medium polar polyacrylate resins with macroporous structure of 233.1 nm and average particle size of about 526.5μm are successfully synthesized by suspension polymerization and used for the BA adsorption and desorption. The maximum adsorption capacity reaches 171.1 mg g^(-1)with relative standard deviation(RSD)value of 0.2%,which is more than twice the results in the literature. The BA desorption rate is 97.0%at 100℃with RSD value of 0.4%,and the resins are beneficial to the reuse in the adsorption-desorption cycle. The adsorption thermodynamics and kinetics are investigated, and the BA adsorption is a spontaneous and endothermic process with the increase of disorder degree. This process is mainly contributed by physical absorption and agree well with Freundlich model and pseudo-first-order adsorption kinetic model. The adsorption method avoids boiling a large amount of wastewater and hopefully provides a novel alternative technology for the BA recovery.

文摘The manufacturing process of all-solid-state batteries necessitates the use of polymer binders. However, these binders, being ionic insulators by nature, can adversely affect charge transport within composite cathodes, thereby impacting the rate performance of the batteries. In this work,we aim to investigate the impact of fabrication methods, specifically the solvent-free dry process versus the slurry-cast wet process,on binder distribution and charge transport in composite cathodes of solid-state batteries. In the dry process, the binder forms a fibrous network, while the wet process results in binder coverage on the surface of cathode active materials. The difference in microstructure leads to a notable 20-fold increase in ionic conductivity in the dry-processed cathode.Consequently, the cells processed via the dry method exhibit higher capacity retention of 89%and 83%at C/3 and C/2 rates, respectively,in comparison to 68%and 58%for the wet-processed cells at the same rate. These findings provide valuable insights into the influence of fabrication methods on binder distribution and charge transport, contributing to a better understanding of the binder’s role in manufacturing of all-solid-state batteries.

文摘The worldwide contamination of feeds and foods with mycotoxins is a significant problem. Finally, some strategies and advices on existing difficulties of biodegradation research are also briefly proposed in this paper.

文摘This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of sporoderm-broken spores of Ganoderma lucidum(SSGL),a traditional Chinese medicinal herb,on growth performance, antioxidant ability, and immunity of broilers.Three hundred male broilers with similar body weights(40.0±1.0 g)at 1 d of age were assigned randomly to 4 treatments. Each treatment contained 5 replicates of 15 birds per replicate. The dietary treatments were corn-soybean meal basal diet supple mented with SSGL at the concentrations of0(control),100,200 and 500 mg/kg diet. The results showed that diets supplemented with SSGL significantly increased(P<0.05)the average daily gain and decreased(P<0.05)the feed:gain(F:G)ratio of birds during the finisher period(22 to 44 d of age). Moreover, the total antioxidant capability, glutathione reductase and catalase activities in the liver and spleen were significantly higher(P<0.05)in broilers fed diets with SSGL than in broilers fed the control diet.Additionally, dietary SSGL also increased(P<0.05)the serum interleukin(IL)-2,immunoglobulin(Ig)A and IgG levels of broilers compared with the control diet. These results suggest that SSGL have ameliorative effects on growth performance, free radical-scavenging activity, antioxidant capability, and immune function of broilers.
文摘Redox polymers are a class of high-capacity, low-cost electrode materials for electrochemical energy storage, butthe mechanisms governing their cycling stability are not well understood. This work highlights that anions with low solvation degree are preferablefor long-term cycling.

文摘With the increase of problem dimensions, most solutions of existing many-objective optimization algorithms are non-dominant.Therefore,the selection of individuals and the retention of elite individuals are important.Existing algorithms cannot provide sufficient solution precision and guarantee the diversity and convergence of solution sets when solving practical many-objective industrial problems. Thus, this work proposes an improved many-objective pigeon-inspired optimization(ImMAPIO)algorithm with multiple selection strategies to solve many-objective optimization problems.Multiple selection strategies integrating hypervolume, knee point, and vector angles are utilized to increase selection pressure to the true Pareto Front. Thus, the accuracy, convergence, and diversity of solutions are improved.ImMAPIO is applied to the DTLZ and WFG test functions with four to fifteen objectives and compared against NSGA-III,GrEA,MOEA/D,RVEA,and many-objective Pigeon-inspired optimization algorithm.Experimental results indicate the superiority of ImMAPIO on these test functions.
