The education model based on outcomes-based education(OBE)emphasizes on taking educational achievements as the guide as well as focusing on student-centered and ability-based concepts.OBE is consistent with the talent output goals of higher vocational and technical education.Using the construction of electronic technology courses in higher vocational and technical colleges as an example,this article takes the course reform as an important carrier to promote ability training and explores the course reform scheme to meet the ability needs of higher vocational talents in the new era based on the concept of OBE in order to provide a useful reference for improving the level of talent training in higher vocational colleges. 展开更多

Pathogenic Escherichia coli is of great concern in the clinical setting.But few reports have demonstrated the variation in disease course.We present a severe case of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome caused by E.coli infection.Pathogens isolated from blood and urine samples harboured many virulence factors.Whole‐genome sequencing and conventional analyses showed that the isolates experienced beneficial variations,both genetically and phenotypically,during the disease course.These findings showed that E.coli can cause sys-temic symptoms and informed us of the importance of assessing the reasons for such variations in pathogens occurring in vivo. 展开更多

Kindlin-2, a member of the Kindlin family focal adhesion proteins, plays an important role in cardiac development. It is known that defects in the Z-disc proteins lead to hypertrophic cardiomyopathy(HCM) or dilated cardiomyopathy(DCM). Our previous investigation showed that Kindlin-2 is mainly localized at the Z-disc and depletion of Kindlin-2 disrupts the structure of the Z-Disc. Here, we reported that depletion of Kindlin-2 leads to the disordered myocardial fibers, fractured and vacuolar degeneration in myocardial fibers. Interestingly, depletion of Kindlin-2 in mice induced cardiac myocyte hypertrophy and increased the heart weight. Furthermore, decreased expression of Kindlin-2 led to cardiac dysfunction and also markedly impairs systolic function. Our data indicated that Kindlin-2 not only maintains the cardiac structure but also is required for cardiac function. 展开更多

Vascular smooth muscle cells(VSMCs)have diverse biological functions that include maintaining the vascular structure and recruiting progenitors to form the embryonic vascular system.Accumulating evidence suggests that the VSMCs are not just derived from the mesoderm,as previously thought,but have diverse developmental origins.Lineage tracing analysis indicates that VSMCs have at least 7 different origins,thereby giving it the characteristic of a mosaic tissue.The crucial role of the diverse origins of the VSMCs has been recognized in relation to blood vessel function and diseases such as arteriosclerosis.The VSMC distribution in cardiovascular development and whether and how their heterogeneous origins contribute to the overall cardiovascular development continue to be topics of research.Here,we review the current state of research,mainly focusing on the role of VSMCs in cardiovascular development.We emphasize the following biological pathways:(1)normal course of development of VSMCs and their diverse origins in relation to cardiovascular development,(2)signaling regulation of progenitor cell development and differentiation into VSMCs,and(3)abnormal development of vascular smooth muscle and the associated cardiovascular malformations. 展开更多
