However, the present smart card based systems have some inherent problems like added cost, low availability and lack of security. In the future Smart Grid paradigm, use of smart meters can completely overhaul these prepaid systems by introducing centralized accounting, monitoring and credit-control functions using state-of-the-art telecommunication technologies like WiMAX. In this paper we propose a prepaid smart metering scheme for Smart Grid application based on centralized authentication and charging using the WiMAX prepaid accounting model. We then discuss its specific application to Demand Response and Roaming of Electrical Vehicles.展开更多

The results showed th...Two functional tetraphenylethylene derivatives modified by vinylpyridine and vinylnitrobenzene,respectively, were synthesized by Heck coupling reaction. Their optical behaviors were investigated. The results showed they had AIE activity in solution. The property in solid state displayed that both of them had reversible mechanochromism. Upon grinding, their fluorescence spectra showed around 13–40nm red-shift, and could return to the original state after solvent fuming. We believe that this work will be helpful for the design of stimuli-responsive materials in future.展开更多

Two com- pou...Two star-shaped molecules with benzene core and three naphthalene diimide （NDI） side arms were facilely prepared by two-step imidization reaction from the 1,4,5,8-naphthalenetetracarboxylic dianhydride. Two com- pounds showed the similar UV-Vis absorption band as well as NDI. It was found that they displayed bathochromic shift of their UV-Vis absorption and emission spectra in film compared with that in solution, ascribing to the aggregation between molecules in the solid state. Reversible reduction process was observed by cyclic voltammetry and low lying LUMO energy levels （-3.83 eV for la, -3.87 eV for lb） were deduced, which suggest that these two compounds possessed good electron-acceptor property and can be used as potential n-type materials.展开更多
