Predidtion of the Multiplicity Distributions at Tevatron/LHC Energies and the Approach to Asymptotic KNO Scaling

The multiplicity distributions at Tevatron/large hadron collider(LHC)energies are predicted.The approximate Koba,Neilsen,Olesen(KNO)scaling at lower energies and its violation at above intersectin6 storage ring energy are discussed by using three fire ball model.It is predicted that there will appear a new KNO scaling in multiplicity distributions at asymptotic energy region after LHC.

Dependence of Long Range Correlation on Width of Rapidity Gap in High Energy Hadron-Hadron Collisions

The dependence of long range correlation in high energy hadron-hadron collisions on the width of rapidity gap is studied,It is shown that the result from a model with only one particle source does not fit the experimental data.In order to get the experimental dependence of long range correlation on the width of rapidity gap at least three particle sources are needed.

Compensation in Intermittency Strength of the Hard and Soft Components in Hadron-Hadron Collisions

The controversy in experimental data on the transverse momentum dependence of intermittency at different energies is studied.It is shown that this controversy is due to the appearance of a new component-the jet(or mini-jet)component together with the normal soft one at the collider energies.It is shown that the compensation effect of these two components results in a U shape for the dependence of intermittency indices on the average transverse momentum per event P_(⊥)which is a good quantity to characterize the relative size of soft and hard components in an event.In a linearization approximation the fraction of the soft component can be determined directly from P_(⊥).

On the Stopping Power in High Energy Nucleus-Nucleus Collision and Number of Effective Energy Sources

Based on the multisource model,the number of effective energy sources and the average impact parameter in central nucleus-nucleus collisions are estimated through fitting the experimental data.The dependence of stopping power on incident energy and target nucleus is discussed.

LOGARITHMIC MOMENTS AS NEW CHARACTERISTICS FOR LARGE MULTIPLICITY FLUCTUATIONS IN SMALL RAPIDITY WINDOWS

The behavior of logarithmic moments of particle distributions in different rapidity windows is discussed for pp and PA collisions at high energies.The special role of those events,having no-particle in the rapidity window,is stressed.

J/ψ and T Photoproduction at LHC

Hard photoproduction of J/ψ and T at large hadron collider(LHC)Pb-Pb collisionswith CMS energy 6300 GeV/u is discussed in the process Pb+Pb→Pb+J/ψ+X with threetypes of equivalent photon spectrum functions.It turns out that the hard photoproductionprocesses can be used to probe several important problems such as the gluon distribution in thenucleus,gluon and heavy q.uark fragmentation of J/ψ,et al.In addition,the process alsoprovides a new way of testing the EMC effects.

A Monte Carlo study on the production scale and internal structure of jets in high energy collisions

The production scale and internal structure of jets produced in high energy collisions were studied using Jetset and Herwig Monte Carlo generators. Two scales were found. One is the jet-development scale, which determines the size of the jet developed from a mother-parton. The other is the jet-production scale with which the jets produced are the most consistent with QCD jet-production dynamics and will provide the most reliable dynamical information about their mother-partons.
