Sangye Gyatso, a man born in Garze Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Sichuan Province, has a fulfilling special affection toward Lhasa, a place where he feels happy, comfortable, and ever mindful. When he was 13, he made his way to the great city, a journey and also pilgrimage that lasted three months. After that first trip, he has come back time and time again, and on April 15, 2014, he was able to open his own restaurant with the help and cooperation of two of his friends. The restaurant was named the "First Class Tibetan House: and it cur re ntly serves Tibetan cuisine in accordance with traditional elements such as Langma and Duixie. 展开更多

Paljor Lhungpo is a village under the jurisdiction of Gyangtse County of Shigatse City, and a place well known for its old-era Phalha Manor. The structure is one of the few well-preserved remaining former aristocratic manors of Tibet. It was built for the first time at the beginning of the 16th century ("the first time" meaning that it was destroyed in 1904 after the British invasion led by Francis Younghusband before being later rebuilt in 1936). The owners were known by their family name, Phalha, and they were one of 12 lineages that held aristocratic power, authority, and prestige over Tibet and its society of old. 展开更多
