BACKGROUND The concurrence of acute myeloid leukemia(AML)and chronic lymphocytic leukemia(CLL)is rare.Previous reports of such cases have focused mainly on clinical diagnosis and characteristics,so the mechanism remai...BACKGROUND The concurrence of acute myeloid leukemia(AML)and chronic lymphocytic leukemia(CLL)is rare.Previous reports of such cases have focused mainly on clinical diagnosis and characteristics,so the mechanism remains unclear,and therapy options have been poorly explored.CASE SUMMARY Here,we report two cases of synchronous AML and CLL.Flow cytometry revealed two distinct abnormal cell populations(myeloblasts and lymphoid cells)according to scatter characteristics.CD5-positive B cell lymphoma with myeloid leukemia invasion was observed on lymph node biopsy.Chemotherapy regimens indicated for both AML and CLL were used in our patients,and our patients achieved complete response after chemotherapy.Next-generation sequencing of 88 genes was performed.CONCLUSION We conclude that early mutation and dysregulation at the hematopoietic stem cell stage and the accumulation of multiple rearrangements may cause the concurrence of CLL and AML.The treatment of infection and combination therapy aimed at the CLL component are significant in the management of patients with concurrent CLL and AML.展开更多
Objective:The present study explored the mechanisms involved in intestinal lymphatic ligation in rats with severe acute pancreatitis(SAP).Methods:Male Sprague Dawley rats were randomly divided into 4 groups:saline gro...Objective:The present study explored the mechanisms involved in intestinal lymphatic ligation in rats with severe acute pancreatitis(SAP).Methods:Male Sprague Dawley rats were randomly divided into 4 groups:saline group,saline+ligation group,SAP group,and SAP+ligation group.Rats in the SAP group were administered sodium taurocholate solution.Isolated mesenteric lymph duct ligation was administered to the saline+ligation and SAP+ligation groups.Endotoxin(ET),nitric oxide(NO),tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-1(IL-1),myeloperoxidase(MPO),and superoxide dismutase(SOD)were detected.Nuclear factor-KB(NF-κB)and intercellular cell adhesion molecule-1(ICAM-1)proteins were observed.The mRNA of inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS)and Toll-like receptor 4(TLR4)was detected by PCR.Results:Pathomorphological analysis showed that necrosis was present in the lung of rats in the SAP group,but only mild lesions in the SAP+ligation group.ET,NO,TNF-α,and IL-1 in the serum and lung tissue were significantly decreased and MPO was increased in the SAP+ligation group as compared with the SAP group.However,MPO was increased.The expression of NF-κB and ICAM-1,either iNOS or TLR4,was upregulated in the SAP group,but downregulated in the SAP+ligation group.Intestinal lymph duct ligation prevented ET translocation,the release of inflammation factors,and inflammation injury.Conclusion:The intestinal lymph duct ligation could alleviate SAP-induced pulmonary injury by suppressing NF-κB activation in rats.展开更多

Howeve...A basic assumption of most recently proposed waveform design algorithms is that the target impulse response is a known deterministic function or a stochastic process with a known power spectral density (PSD). However, it is well-known that a target impulse response is neither easily nor accurately obtained; besides it changes sharply with attitude angles. Both of the aforementioned cases complicate the waveform design process. In this paper, an adaptive robust waveform selection method for unknown target detection in clutter is proposed. The target impulse response is considered to be unknown but belongs to a known uncertainty set. An adaptive waveform library is devised by using a signal-to-clutter-plus-noise ratio (SCNR)- based optimal waveform design method. By applying the minimax robust waveform selection method, the optimal robust waveform is selected to ensure the lowest performance bound of the unknown target detection in clutter. Results show that the adaptive waveform library outperforms the predefined linear frequency modulation (LFM) waveform library on the SCNR bound.展开更多

This study wasaimed to investigate the effects of MF on hyperglycemia in animal models of insulin resistance and streptozotocin(STZ)-induced diabetes. Methods: The diabetes mellitus model was established in mice by receiving a multiplehypodermic injection of hydrocortisone sodium succinate (HCSS) (70 mg/kg) or a single intravenous injection of STZ(130 mg/kg). Meanwhile MF at different dosage (50, 100 and 200 mg/kg) were oral administrated for consecutive 10days. Data of blood glucose were collected at different time after intraperitoneal injection of insulin (0.5 U/kg) toinvestigate the insulin resistant. As well as the oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) and superoxide dismutase(SOD) activity of kidney were measured. The in vitro experiment was established to investigate the inhibitory capacity ofMF to α-glucosidase. Results: Oral administration of MF significantly prevented insulin resistance caused by HCSSinjection. STZ-induced diabetic symptoms were also improved, including fasting blood glucose, glycated hemoglobin,plasma triglycerides, hepatic glycogen, kidney SOD and ORAC level. The in vitro experiment demonstrated that MF hadpotent α-glucosidase inhibitory activity. Conclusion: The obtained results demonstrate that MF ameliorates insulinresistance and STZ-induced glucose metabolism disturbance. The MF exerts the protective effects through improving theantioxidant ability, promoting hepatic glycogen synthesis and inhibiting α-glucosidase activity.展开更多

The effective refractive indexes, propagation lengths and electric field distributions of the modes are investigated, which indicate that the energy of the mode with a lowest effective refractive index is mainly distributed in the air, while for the other two modes, it is mainly distributed in the substrate and in the gap between the Ag nanowire and the substrate. These modes enable such a configuration to be used as a multichannel waveguide or highly directional optical antenna, which is of fundamental importance for optical device miniaturizations and photonic circuit integrations.展开更多
A Babinet-inverted optical nanoantenna analogue of electromagnetically induced transparency based on the coupling between two magnetic dipole antennas and a magnetic octupole antenna in a Au film waveguide is demonstr...A Babinet-inverted optical nanoantenna analogue of electromagnetically induced transparency based on the coupling between two magnetic dipole antennas and a magnetic octupole antenna in a Au film waveguide is demonstrated.Simulation results indicate that a pronounced elimination occurs in the radiating spectrum due to the coupling-induced radiation suppression.A two-oscillator electromagnetically induced transparency model is used to describe the antenna.The coupling coefficient between the magnetic dipole antennas and the magnetic octupole antenna is calculated using the model and is found to decline exponentially with the increase of the distance between them.Such an antenna can be directly integrated with optical waveguides or transmission lines,thus is of fundamental significance for the applications in nano-optics,such as the optical device miniaturizations and photonic circuit integrations.展开更多
The popularity of lithium–sulfur batteries has been increasing gradually due to their ultrahigh theoretical specific capacity and energy density. Nevertheless, they also have lots of drawbacks to be overcome, such as...The popularity of lithium–sulfur batteries has been increasing gradually due to their ultrahigh theoretical specific capacity and energy density. Nevertheless, they also have lots of drawbacks to be overcome, such as poor conductivity, severe volume expansion, and serious“shuttle effect”. In this work, reduced graphene oxide/molybdenum dioxide(rGO/MoO_(2)) composite is synthesized and applied to modify polypropylene separator. The modified polypropylene separator introduces synergistic tri-functions of physical adsorption, chemical interaction and catalytic effects, which can inhibit the“shuttle effect” and enhance the electrochemical performances of lithium-sulfur batteries. In the prepared r GO/MoO_(2) composite, the polar MoO_(2) chemically adsorbs the intermediate lithium polysulfide, while the rGO with good electrical conductivity not only acts as a physical barrier to prevent diffusion of polysulfide ions, but also improves the conversion efficiency of active material intercepted on the separator. As a consequence, the battery assembled with rGO/MoO_(2) modified polypropylene separator exhibits a reversible capacity of 757.5 mAh·g^(-1) after 200 cycles at0.2 C with a negligible capacity decay of 0.207% per cycle,which indicates a good long-period cycling stability. Furthermore, the rate performance and self-discharge suppression are also improved by introducing modified polypropylene separator. It shows that rGO/MoO_(2) composite is a promising material for separator modification in lithium-sulfur batteries.展开更多
Azvudine(FNC)is a nucleoside analog that inhibits HIV-1 RNA-dependent RNA polymerase(RdRp).Recently,we discovered FNC an agent against SARS-CoV-2,and have taken it into Phase III trial for COVID-19 patients.FNC monoph...Azvudine(FNC)is a nucleoside analog that inhibits HIV-1 RNA-dependent RNA polymerase(RdRp).Recently,we discovered FNC an agent against SARS-CoV-2,and have taken it into Phase III trial for COVID-19 patients.FNC monophosphate analog inhibited SARS-CoV-2 and HCoV-OC43 coronavirus with an EC_(50) between 1.2 and 4.3 μM,depending on viruses or cells,and selective index(SI)in 15-83 range.Oral administration of FNC in rats revealed a substantial thymus-homing feature,with FNC triphosphate(the active form)concentrated in the thymus and peripheral blood mononuclear cells(PBMC).Treating SARS-CoV-2 infected rhesus macaques with FNC(0.07 mg/kg, qd,orally)reduced viral load,recuperated the thymus,improved lymphocyte profiles,alleviated in flammation and orga n damage,and lessened grou nd・glass opacities in chest X-ray.Sin gle-cell seque ncing suggested the promotion of thymus function by FNC.A randomized,single-arm clinical trial of FNC on compassionate use(n=31)showed that oral FNC(5 mg,qd)cured all COVID-19 patients,with 100%viral ribonucleic acid negative conversion in 3.29±2.22 days(range:1-9 days)and 100%hospital discharge rate in 9.00±4.93 days(range:2-25 days).The side-effect of FNC is minor and transient dizziness and nausea in 16.12%(5/31)patients.Thus,FNC might cure COVID-19 through its anti-SARS-CoV-2 activity concentrated in the thymus,followed by promoted immunity.展开更多
