The immune system plays a key role in the regulation of bone homeostasis and bone aging. This review describes the role of the immune microenvironment, and myeloid cells in bone aging, and explores their mechanisms in the regulation of osteoblast and osteoclast function. Meanwhile, this study explored drug interventions targeting myeloid cells in order to provide a new perspective for clinical treatment. Through a comprehensive analysis of the interaction of immune cells and bone metabolism, studies show the central role of the immune system in bone aging-related diseases and show promise for novel immunomodulatory therapies.展开更多
