Cervical cancer remains a major public health problem in Africa, particularly in Mali. The goal of this work was to investigate the epidemiological and clinical aspects of cervix cancer seen at the radiation therapy center. This was a descriptive study on the retrospective collection of data on patients found in the Radiation Therapy Centre of Bamako, for invasive cervical cancer be-tween April 2014 and April 2017. The average age of our population was 52 ± 12.5 years with extremes ranges from 18 to 95 years. The most represented age group was [50 - 65 years] with 44.2%. The predominant histological type was squamous carcinoma (CE) with 94.2%. Bleeding were found in almost all patients, most often associated with foul smelling hydrorrhea;80.3% of our patients were stage III and 12.9% of stage IV according to the IFGO classifi-cation. Cervix cancer remains a major public health problem in Mali. The di-agnosis is often late, therefore, resulting in late care and unfavorable progno-sis. Sensitization, vulgarization of vaccination and systematization of screen-ing could be helpful in the fight against this cancer. 展开更多

Motor impairment of cerebral origin is a syndrome that induces a reduction in activity, the origin of which is brain injury or a non-progressive and definitive abnormality occurring in a developing immature brain. Motor disability, spastic, dyskinetic or ataxic, is often associated with sensory, cognitive, sensory and behavioral disorders with or without epileptic disease. View of accidental discoveries of corpus callosum abnormalities, most often asymptomatic or associated with psychomotor retardation, epilepsy, neurological disorders or cardiomyopathy, a high technical platform must be available for its diagnosis. We report in this article the case of a 7-year-old boy followed at the neuropsychiatric center Joseph Guislain of the Brothers of Charity of Lubumbashi in Congo (DRC) since 2016 for generalized tonic-clonic seizures, in whom the diagnosis of cerebral palsy on cyst of corpus callosum and in the right parietal lobe, as well as cardiopathy was posed during its consultation in September 2017. This case was published with parental consent. 展开更多

In this paper, the box-counting dimension is used to derive an explicit formula for the dimension of a fractal constructed using several contractions or by combining fractals. This dimension agrees with the Hausdorff dimension in the particular case when the scales factors considered are all the same. A more general sufficient condition for the box-counting dimension and the Hausdorff dimension to be the same is given. It is also shown that the dimension of the fractal obtained by combining two fractals is the weighted average of the dimensions of the two fractals. 展开更多
