In this research, the three-dimensional(3D)steady and incompressible laminar Homann stagnation point nanofluid flow over a porous moving surface is addressed. The disturbance in the porous medium has been characterized by the Darcy-Forchheimer relation. The slip for viscous fluid is considered. The energy equation is organized in view of radiative heat flux which plays an important role in the heat transfer rate. The governing flow expressions are first altered into first-order ordinary ones and then solved numerically by the shooting method.Dual solutions are obtained for the velocity, skin friction coefficient, temperature, and Nusselt number subject to sundry flow parameters, magnetic parameter,Darcy-Forchheimer number, thermal radiation parameter, suction parameter, and dimensionless slip parameter. In this research, the main consideration is given to the engineering interest like skin friction coefficient(velocity gradient or surface drag force)and Nusselt number(temperature gradient or heat transfer rate)and discussed numerically through tables. In conclusion,it is noticed from the stability results that the upper branch solution(UBS)is more reliable and physically stable than the lower branch solution(LBS). 展开更多

The effect of nonlinear mixed convection in stretched flows of rate-type nonNewtonian materials is described. The formulation is based upon the Maxwell liquid which elaborates thermal relation time characteristics. Nanofluid properties are studied considering thermophoresis and Brownian movement. Thermal radiation, double stratification, convective conditions, and heat generation are incorporated in energy and nanoparticle concentration expressions. A boundary-layer concept is implemented for the simplification of mathematical expressions. The modeled nonlinear problems are computed with an optimal homotopy scheme. Moreover, the Nusselt and Sherwood numbers as well as the velocity, nanoparticle concentration, and temperature are emphasized. The results show opposite impacts of the Deborah number and the porosity factor on the velocity distribution. 展开更多

The prime objective of the present communication is to examine the entropy-optimized second order velocity slip Darcy–Forchheimer hybrid nanofluid flow of viscous material between two rotating disks.Electrical conducting flow is considered and saturated through Darcy–Forchheimer relation. Both the disks are rotating with different angular frequencies and stretches with different rates. Here graphene oxide and titanium dioxide are considered for hybrid nanoparticles and water as a continuous phase liquid.Joule heating, heat generation/absorption and viscous dissipation effects are incorporated in the mathematical modeling of energy expression.Furthermore, binary chemical reaction with activation energy is considered. The total entropy rate is calculated in the presence of heat transfer irreversibility, fluid friction irreversibility,Joule heating irreversibility, porosity irreversibility and chemical reaction irreversibility through thermodynamics second law.The nonlinear governing equations are first converted into ordinary differential equations through implementation of appropriate similarity transformations and then numerical solutions are calculated through Built-in-Shooting method.Characteristics of sundry flow variables on the entropy generation rate, velocity, concentration,Bejan number, temperature are discussed graphically for both graphene oxide and titanium dioxide hybrid nanoparticles. The engineering interest like skin friction coefficient and Nusselt number are computed numerically and presented through tables. It is noticed from the obtained results that entropy generation rate and Bejan number have similar effects versus diffusion parameter. Also entropy generation rate is more against the higher Brinkman number. 展开更多

The transverse momentum distributions of charged hadrons produced in proton-proton collisions at center-of-mass energies(√s)of 0.9 TeV and 2.36 TeV,as measured by the CMS detector at the Large Hadron Collider(LHC),have been analyzed within various pseudorapidity classes utilizing the thermodynamically consistent Tsallis distribution. The fitting procedure resulted in the key parameters, namely, effective temperature(T),non-extensivity parameter(q),and kinetic freezeout volume(V).Additionally, the mean transverse momentum(<pT>)and initial temperature(T_(i))of the particle source are determined through the fit function and string percolation method, respectively. An alternative method is employed to calculate the kinetic freezeout temperature(T_(0))and transverse flow velocity(β_(T))from T.Furthermore, thermodynamic quantities at the freezeout, including energy density(ε),particle density(n),entropy density(s),pressure(P),and squared speed of sound(C_(s)^(2)),are computed using the extracted T and q.It is also observed that, with a decrease in pseudorapidity, all thermodynamic quantities except V and q increase. This trend is attributed to greater energy transfer along the mid pseudorapidity.q increases towards higher values of pseudorapidity, indicating that particles close to the beam axis are far from equilibrium.Meanwhile,V remains nearly independent of pseudorapidity. The excitation function of these parameters(q)shows a direct(inverse)correlation with collision energy. The ε,n,s,and P show a strong dependence on collision energies at low pseudorapidities.Explicit verification of the thermodynamic inequality ε≥3P suggests the formation of a highly dense droplet-like Quark-Gluon Plasma(QGP).Additionally, the inequality T_(i)>T>T_(0)is explicitly confirmed, aligning with the evolution of the produced fireball. 展开更多

Stagnation point flow is considered. Revised FourierFick relations and double stratification phenomena are utilized for modeling energy and concentration expressions.Mathematical model of considered physical problem is achieved by implementing the idea of boundary layer theory. The acquired partial differential system is transformed into ordinary ones by employing relevant variables. The homotopic scheme yield convergent solutions of governing nonlinear expressions. Graphs are constructed for distinct values of physical constraints to elaborate the heat/mass transportation mechanisms. 展开更多

Hydromagnetic nanoliquid establish an extraordinary category of nanoliquids that unveil both liquid and magnetic attributes. The interest in the utilization of hydromagnetic nanoliquids as a heat transporting medium stem from a likelihood of regulating its flow along with heat transportation process subjected to an externally imposed magnetic field. This analysis reports the hydromagnetic nanoliquid impact on differential type(second-grade)liquid from a convectively heated extending surface. The well-known Darcy-Forchheimer aspect capturing porosity characteristics is introduced for nonlinear analysis.Robin conditions elaborating heat-mass transportation effect are considered. In addition,Ohmic dissipation and suction/injection aspects are also a part of this research.Mathematical analysis is done by implementing the basic relations of fluid mechanics. The modeled physical problem is simplified through order analysis. The resulting systems(partial differential expressions)are rendered to the ordinary ones by utilizing the apposite variables.Convergent solutions are constructed employing homotopy algorithm.Pictorial and numeric result are addressed comprehensively to elaborate the nature of sundry parameters against physical quantities. The velocity profile is suppressed with increasing Hartmann number(magnetic parameter)whereas it is enhanced with increment in material parameter(second-grade).With the elevation in thermophoresis parameter, temperature and concentration of nanoparticles are accelerated. 展开更多
