Methods: Immunohistochemistry was performed for paraffin samples of 119 pairs of HCC tissues (HCCs) and paratumorous liver tissues (PTLTs) to evaluate cortactin expression. The cortactin expression difference in HCCs and PTLTs were analyzed by the McNemar's test. The relationship of cortactin expressions in HCCs and clinicopathologic factors was analyzed with Mann-Whitney U test. The Kaplan-Meier method and log-rank test were employed to compare the overall survival between Cortactin negative expression group, weak expression group and strong expression group. Expression of cortactin was further determined in 19 pairs of fresh HCCs and PTLTs specimens with Western blotting. Results: Cortactin expression rate was significantly higher in HCCs (53/119, 44.5%) than that in PTLTs (2/119, 1.7%) (P〈0.001). The upregulated cortactin expression in HCCs was significantly correlated to absence of capsule formation (P=0.012), vascular invasion (P=0.037) and high Edmondson-Steiner grade (P=0.020), and predicted shorter overall survival. Western blotting demonstrated that cortactin expression was upregulated in 9 out of 19 HCCs (47.4%) compared to corresponding PTLTs. Conclusion: Cortactin expression is upregulated in HCC and is related to shorter overall survival of patients, suggesting that cortactin might play roles in the metastasis of HCC and predict a poor prognosis of HCC patients.展开更多

[Na+]i in resting cells was found to be 11.9 ± 0. 7 mmol/L. Angiotensin II (Ang-II, 0.1-10μmol/L) induced an increase of [Na+]i in concentration-dependent manner. Ver (0.1-10μmol/L) inhibited Ang-II (1 μmol/L)-induced increase in [Na+]i, while Cap enhanced Ang-II-induced increase in [Na+]i at 10μmol/L but not at 0.1-1μmol/L. Ver (0.1-1μmol/L)abolished enhancement of Ang-II-induced increase in [Na+]i by Cap. Thus, the inhibition of Capenhanced [Na+]i by Ver may provide a new hypothesis for the underlying molecular mechanism of synergistic effect of the combination of Ca2+ antagonists and angiotensinconverting enzyme inhibitors in controlling blood pressure.展开更多

Literature Review: Cellulose is the most abundant organic carbon source on Earth;its enzymatic hydrolysis will be very useful for bioenergy production and resource recycling. Methods: Cellobiohydrlase I (CBH I) gene was amplified from genomic DNA of Trichoderma koningii and inserted into pGAPZα A plasmid to construct the vector of pGAPZαA-CBH I. It was linearized and transformed into Pichia pastoris by electroporation. The recombinant Pichia pastoris was selected and incubated with YPD medium for cellulase secretion. Results: The result showed that CMCase and avicelase activity in the supernatant was 1.1798 U/mL and 0.1276 U/mL, the molecular weight of the expressed protein was 53 kDa determined with SDS-PAGE analyses, and the optimal temperature and pH of the expressed cellulase were 45?C - 50?C and 4.5 - 5.0, respectively. Conclusion: Cellulase gene from T. koningii has been successfully cloned and expressed in Pichia pastoris.展开更多
The aim of this article was to report a case of toe nails disorder associated with metformin use in an elderly patient with type2diabetes. Two years ago, after receiving metformin 0.5 g three times daily for 6 months,...The aim of this article was to report a case of toe nails disorder associated with metformin use in an elderly patient with type2diabetes. Two years ago, after receiving metformin 0.5 g three times daily for 6 months, a 60-year-old Chinese man found his ten toe nails gradually thickened and yellowed (especially two thumbs). The symptoms improved and recovered after metformin discontinuance. Half year ago, metformin 0.5 g three times daily adopted again and toe nails disorder occurred again. Physician modified the therapy plan and replaced metformin with acarbose to control blood glucose level of this patient. According to the follow up 3 months after his discharge, ten toe nails recovered significantly and new parts of the nails were normal. Nail disorder was rarely reported in the worldwide, but the physicians should keep awareness of this adverse drug reaction (ADR), proper actions should be taken once it occurred to avoid unnecessary suffering of the patient.展开更多
The impedance matching of absorbers is a vital factor affecting their microwave absorption(MA)properties.In this work,we controllably synthesized Material of Institute Lavoisier 88C(MIL-88C)with varying aspect ratios(...The impedance matching of absorbers is a vital factor affecting their microwave absorption(MA)properties.In this work,we controllably synthesized Material of Institute Lavoisier 88C(MIL-88C)with varying aspect ratios(AR)as a precursor by regulating oil bath conditions,followed by one-step thermal decomposition to obtain carbon-coated iron-based composites.Modifying the precursor MIL-88C(Fe)preparation conditions,such as the molar ratio between metal ions and organic ligands(M/O),oil bath temperature,and oil bath time,influenced the phases,graphitization degree,and AR of the derivatives,enabling low filler loading,achieving well-matched impedance,and ensuring outstanding MA properties.The MOF-derivatives 2(MD_(2))/polyvinylidene Difluoride(PVDF),MD_(3)/PVDF,and MD4/PVDF absorbers all exhibited excellent MA properties with optimal filler loadings below 20 wt%and as low as 5 wt%.The MD_(2)/PVDF(5 wt%)achieved a maximum effective absorption bandwidth(EAB)of 5.52 GHz(1.90 mm).The MD_(3)/PVDF(10 wt%)possessed a minimum reflection loss(RL_(min))value of−67.4 at 12.56 GHz(2.13 mm).A symmetric gradient honeycomb structure(SGHS)was constructed utilizing the high-frequency structure simulator(HFSS)to further extend the EAB,achieving an EAB of 14.6 GHz and a RL_(min) of−59.0 dB.This research offers a viable inspiration to creating structures or materials with high-efficiency MA properties.展开更多
<div style="text-align:justify;"> <strong>Objective:</strong> To study the application of specific nursing in perioperative patients of thoracic surgery and postoperative recovery and impro...<div style="text-align:justify;"> <strong>Objective:</strong> To study the application of specific nursing in perioperative patients of thoracic surgery and postoperative recovery and improvement of patients’ negative emotions. <strong>Patients and Methods:</strong> A total of 88 patients in the thoracic surgery operating room of our hospital were selected and divided into group A (specific nursing, n = 44) and group B (routine nursing, n = 44). The anxiety and depression status of the two groups were assessed by the Self-rating Anxiety Scale (SAS) and the Self-rating Depression Scale (SDS). The relevant respiratory parameters after surgery, including total lung capacity, maximum respiration flow-rate, tidal volume, and vital capacity were observed. The extubation time, ICU hospitalization time, and VAS scores of postoperative pain were compared, with a score of 10 being full. The higher the score, the higher the pain. The in-cidence of postoperative wound infection, pulmonary infection, respiratory tract infection and the satisfaction with the operation were compared. Sf-36 scale was used to score the physical function, life function, psychological function and quality of life of the patients in the two groups. <strong>Results:</strong> The surgical effect of group A was significantly higher than that of group B (all p < 0.05). The total lung capacity, maximum respiration flow-rate, tidal volume and vital capacity of group A were significantly higher than those of group B (all p < 0.05). The extubation time and hospitalization time of group A were significantly higher than those of group B (all p < 0.05). VAS score of group A was significantly lower than that of group B (all p < 0.05). METHODS Forty-eight patients diagnosed with gastric ulcer between June 2014 and February 2016 were randomly allocated to the combination therapy group or monotherapy group. The former received hydrotalcite combined with esomeprazole, and the latter received esomeprazole alone, for 8 wk. Twenty-four healthy volunteers were recruited and acted as the healthy control group. Endoscopic ulcer healing was observed using white light endoscopy and narrow band imaging magnifying endoscopy. The composition of collagen fibers, amount of collagen deposition, expression of factor. and TGF-beta 1, and hydroxyproline content were analyzed by Masson staining, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescent imaging and ELISA. RESULTS Following treatment, changes in the gastric microvascular network were statistically different between the combination therapy group and the monotherapy group (P < 0.05). There were significant differences (P < 0.05) in collagen deposition, expression level of Factor. and TGF-beta 1, and hydroxyproline content in the two treatment groups compared with the healthy control group. These parameters in the combination therapy group were significantly higher than in the monotherapy group (P < 0.05). The ratio of collagen. to collagen. was statistically different among the three groups, and was significantly higher in the combination therapy group than in the monotherapy group (P < 0.05). CONCLUSION Hydrotalcite combined with esomeprazole is superior to esomeprazole alone in improving gastric ulcer healing quality in terms of improving microvascular morphology, degree of structure maturity and function of regenerated mucosa.展开更多
Rosa roxburghii Tratt.is a well-known commercial horticultural crop in China with nutritional and medicinal value.Wild germplasms of this species are mainly distributed in Southwest China but the population is decreas...Rosa roxburghii Tratt.is a well-known commercial horticultural crop in China with nutritional and medicinal value.Wild germplasms of this species are mainly distributed in Southwest China but the population is decreasing due to continuous exploitation,habitat destruction,and fragmentation.Therefore,assessing the genetic diversity and phylogeography is essential for efficient conservation.Herein,two chloroplast intergenic spacers(trnL-trnF and accD-psaI)were investigated in 255 individuals from 29 R.roxburghii populations and 18 haplotypes(H1–H18)were identified.High levels of haplotype diversity(Hd=0.829)and nucleotide diversity(π=1.3×10^(−3))were detected in these populations.Also,the genetic variation representing 86.4%of the total variation was detected by an analysis of molecular variance.A significant correlation was established between genetic divergence and geographic distance by the Mantel test(r=0.204,P=0.04,9999 permutations),suggesting the isolation-by-distance model.A significantly higher Nst than Gst(Nst=0.257,Gst=0.136,P<0.05)indicated the phylogeographic structure of R.roxburghii.Further phylogeographic analysis revealed rapid range expansion in the population,probably between 647073 and 217848 years ago.The primary processes shaping the genetic patterns of the R.roxburghii populations included restricted gene flow with isolation distance within clades 1-8,2-3,and overall,contiguous expansion within clades 1-3 and 3-2,past fragmentation,and/or long-distance colonization within clades 1-9 and 2-2.Conservation priority should be given to the core populations GZ,FQ,DF,DS,xy,AL,LC,PB,and XY in the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau,NZ and MX in the Qingling-Bashan mountains,and MN in the Hengduan mountains,where an in situ preservation and management strategy should be applied.展开更多
Refractory antibiotics in domestic wastewater are hard to be completely eliminated by conventional methods,and then lead to severe environmental contamination and adverse effects on public health.In present work,advan...Refractory antibiotics in domestic wastewater are hard to be completely eliminated by conventional methods,and then lead to severe environmental contamination and adverse effects on public health.In present work,advanced oxidation processes(AOPs)are adopted to remove the antibiotic of sul-fachloropyridazine(SCP).Nanosized Mn_(2)O_(3) was fabricated on the SBA-15 material to catalytically acti-vate potassium peroxydisulfate(PDS)to generate reactive oxygen radicals of.OH and SO_(4).for SCP degradation.The effects of location and size of Mn_(2)O_(3) were explored through choosing either the as-made or template free SBA-15 as the precursor of substrate.Great influences from the site and size of Mn_(2)O_(3) on the oxidation activity were discovered.It was found that Mn_(2)O_(3) with a large size at the exterior of SBA-15(Mn-tfSBA)was slightly easier to degrade SCP at a low manganese loading of 1.0-2.0 mmol.g;however,complete SCP removal could only be achieved on the catalyst of Mn_(2)O_(3) with a refined size at the interior of SBA-15(Mn-asSBA).Moreover,the SO_(4).species were revealed to be the decisive radicals in the SCP degradation processes.Exploring the as-made mesoporous silica as a support provides a new idea for the further development of environmentally friendly catalysts.展开更多

文摘Refractory antibiotics in domestic wastewater are hard to be completely eliminated by conventional methods,and then lead to severe environmental contamination and adverse effects on public health.In present work,advanced oxidation processes(AOPs)are adopted to remove the antibiotic of sul-fachloropyridazine(SCP).Nanosized Mn_(2)O_(3) was fabricated on the SBA-15 material to catalytically acti-vate potassium peroxydisulfate(PDS)to generate reactive oxygen radicals of.OH and SO_(4).for SCP degradation.The effects of location and size of Mn_(2)O_(3) were explored through choosing either the as-made or template free SBA-15 as the precursor of substrate.Great influences from the site and size of Mn_(2)O_(3) on the oxidation activity were discovered.It was found that Mn_(2)O_(3) with a large size at the exterior of SBA-15(Mn-tfSBA)was slightly easier to degrade SCP at a low manganese loading of 1.0-2.0 mmol.g;however,complete SCP removal could only be achieved on the catalyst of Mn_(2)O_(3) with a refined size at the interior of SBA-15(Mn-asSBA).Moreover,the SO_(4).species were revealed to be the decisive radicals in the SCP degradation processes.Exploring the as-made mesoporous silica as a support provides a new idea for the further development of environmentally friendly catalysts.
