Methods: A total of 78 T2DM patients with metabolic syndrome who were treated in the hospital were retrospectively analyzed and divided into the control group (n=41) who received metformin therapy and the combined group (n=37) who received metformin combined with DPP-4 inhibitor therapy, and both groups were treated for 12 weeks. The differences in micro-inflammatory state and insulin sensitivity were compared between the two groups before and after treatment. Results: There was no statistically significant difference in serum inflammatory factor contents and peripheral blood insulin sensitivity-related index levels between the two groups before treatment. After 12 weeks of treatment, serum inflammatory factors IL-1, hs-CRP and TNF-α contents of combined group were lower than those of control group;insulin sensitivity indexes FGP, FINS, ISI and HOMA-IR levels were lower than those of control group. Conclusion: metformin combined with DPP-4 inhibitor Sitagliptin can more effectively inhibit the micro-inflammatory state and improve the insulin sensitivity in T2DM patients with metabolic syndrome.展开更多

文摘Rotenone and 6-hydroxydopamine are two drugs commonly used to generate Parkinson's disease animal models. They not only achieve degenerative changes of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra, but also satisfy the requirements for iron deposition. However, few studies have compared the characteristics of these two models by magnetic resonance imaging. In this study, rat models of Parkinson's disease were generated by injection of 3 μg rotenone or 10 μg 6-hydroxydopamine into the right substantia nigra. At 1,2,4,and 6 weeks after injection, coronal whole-brain T2-weighted imaging, transverse whole-brain T2-weighted imaging, and coronal diffusion tensor weighted imaging were conducted to measure fractional anisotropy and T2* values at the injury site. The fractional anisotropy value on the right side of the substantia nigra was remarkably lower at 6 weeks than at other time points in the rotenone group. In the 6-hydroxydopamine group, the fractional anisotropy value was decreased, but T2* values were increased on the right side of the substantia nigra at 1 week. Our findings confirm that the 6-hydroxydopamine-induced model is suitable for studying dopaminergic neurons over short periods, while the rotenone-induced model may be appropriate for studying the pathological and physiological processes of Parkinson's disease over long periods.

文摘Harmful algal bloom(HAB)is an ecological disaster to local mariculture. At present, its impact on macrophytes has not been well studied. In this study,we cultivated sexually propagated embryos of S argassum fusiformis-an edible seaweed-in Prorocentrum donghaiense suspensions at different cell densities(0,0.50×10^(5),0.75×10^(5),1.00×10^(5),and 1.50×10^(5) cells/mL)for 10 days, during which growth and photosynthetic activities of the embryos were determined, and a monocultivation was set up for comparison. Results show that the relative growth rate and photosynthetic activities of the embryos co-cultivated with P.donghaiense were inhibited mostly and significantly in the cell densities of 0.75×10^(5),1.00×10^(5),and 1.50×10^(5) cells/mL,and the inhibitory effects increased in overall with increased cell densities. The maximum relative electron transport rates(rETR max)and apparent photosynthetic efficiency(a)of co-cultivated embryos were all significantly lower than monocultivation ones on the 10 th day.Furthermore, the photosynthetic activity detected by chlorophyll-a fluorescence transient(i.e.,OJIP),the electron transport among electron transfer accepters of PSII(photosystem II)and that from PSII to PSI(photosystem I)was restricted, which is probably responsible for the decreases of rETR max andain the co-cultivated embryos. In addition, parts of the photosynthetic reaction centers of PSII in the co-cultivated embryos were inactivated.Therefore,P.donghaiense bloom could restrain the development and photosynthetic activities of S.fusiformis embryos, reduce the seedlings stock, and eventually hinder the development of S.fusiformis production industry.

文摘Objective: To investigate the effect of metformin combined with DPP-4 inhibitor on the micro-inflammatory status and insulin sensitivity of T2DM patients with metabolic syndrome. Conclusion: metformin combined with DPP-4 inhibitor Sitagliptin can more effectively inhibit the micro-inflammatory state and improve the insulin sensitivity in T2DM patients with metabolic syndrome.

文摘Alumina(Al_(2)O_(3))is widely used in the chemical industry as the catalyst and support due to its high specific surface area, abundant pore size distribution and chemical stability. However, the occurrence of hydration in water environment, result in outstanding decrease in specific surface area and collapse of pore structure. In this work, dodecyl phosphoric acid(PA)is used to modify the surface of Al_(2)O_(3)to obtain a series of hydrophobic material(Al_(2)O_(3)-PA).Based on XPS and NMR analysis,PA is chemically bonded on Al_(2)O_(3)to form PAOAAl bond.Furthermore,BET and WCA results display that Al_(2)O_(3)-1PA exhibits excellent the hydrophobicity and hydrothermal stability while maintains the pore structure.Take it as the substrate to support the Pd nanoparticles, the as-prepared Pd/Al_(2)O_(3)-PA shows the superior catalytic performance in the hydrogenation of phenol and anthraquinone relative to Pd/Al_(2)O_(3),indicating the accessibility of Pd sites after PA modification.Especially, the significantly enhanced stability is also obtained in four cycles for aqueous phenol hydrogenation. This can be ascribed that the PA modification inhibits the aggregation of Pd nanoparticles and the products adhesion in the reaction process. The extension of PA coatings to monolithic catalysts could expand their current capabilities in industrial applications and warrants ongoing investigation.

文摘Alternative splicing is the process of producing variably spliced mRNAs by choosing distinct combinations of splice sites within a messenger RNA precursor. This splicing enables mRNA from a single gene to synthesize different proteins, which have different cellular properties and functions and yet arise from the same single gene.A family of splicing factors,Serine-arginine rich proteins, are needed to initiate the assembly and activation of the spliceosome.Serine and arginine rich splicing factor 1,part of the arginine/serine-rich splicing factor protein family, can either activate or inhibit the splicing of mRNAs,depending on the phosphorylation status of the protein and its interaction partners.Considering that serine and arginine rich splicing factor 1 is either an activator or an inhibitor, this protein has been studied widely to identify its various roles in different diseases.Research has found that serine and arginine rich splicing factor 1 is a key target for neuroprotection, showing its promising potential use in therapeutics for neurodegenerative disorders.Furthermore, serine and arginine rich splicing factor 1 might be used to regulate cancer development and autoimmune diseases. In this review,we highlight how serine and arginine rich splicing factor 1 has been studied concerning neuroprotection. In addition,we draw attention to how serine and arginine rich splicing factor 1 is being studied in cancer and immunological disorders,as well as how serine and arginine rich splicing factor 1 acts outside the central or peripheral nervous system.
