Recently,there has been a notable surge of interest in scientific research regarding spectral images.The potential of these images to revolutionize the digital photography industry,like aerial photography through Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs),has captured considerable attention.One encouraging aspect is their combination with machine learning and deep learning algorithms,which have demonstrated remarkable outcomes in image classification.As a result of this powerful amalgamation,the adoption of spectral images has experienced exponential growth across various domains,with agriculture being one of the prominent beneficiaries.This paper presents an extensive survey encompassing multispectral and hyperspectral images,focusing on their applications for classification challenges in diverse agricultural areas,including plants,grains,fruits,and vegetables.By meticulously examining primary studies,we delve into the specific agricultural domains where multispectral and hyperspectral images have found practical use.Additionally,our attention is directed towards utilizing machine learning techniques for effectively classifying hyperspectral images within the agricultural context.The findings of our investigation reveal that deep learning and support vector machines have emerged as widely employed methods for hyperspectral image classification in agriculture.Nevertheless,we also shed light on the various issues and limitations of working with spectral images.This comprehensive analysis aims to provide valuable insights into the current state of spectral imaging in agriculture and its potential for future advancements. 展开更多

Vegetation is an important factor linking the atmosphere,water,soil,and biological functions,and it plays a specific role in the climate change response and sustainable development of regional economies.However,little information is available on vegetation vulnerability and its driving mechanism.Therefore,studying temporal and spatial change characteristics of vegetation and their corresponding mechanisms is important for assessing ecosystem stability and formulating ecological policies in the Kherlen River Basin.We used Moderate-resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer(MODIS)normalized difference vegetation index(NDVI)remote sensing images from 2000 to 2020 to analyse temporal changes in NDVI with the autoregressive moving average model(ARMA)and the breaks for additive season trend(BFAST)in the basin and to assess natural,anthropogenic and topographic factors with the Geodetector model.The results show that:1)the long NDVI time series remained stable in the Kherlen River Basin from 2000 to 2020,with a certain significant mutation period from 2013 to 2017;2)the coefficient of variation(CV)in the analysis of the spatial NDVI was generally constant,mainly at the level of 0.01–0.07,and the spatial NDVI change was minimally impacted by external interference;and 3)temperature and precipitation are the key factors affecting the NDVI in the basin,and changes in local hydrothermal conditions directly affect the local NDVI.The results of this study could provide a scientific basis for the effective protection of the ecological environment and will aid in understanding the influence of vegetation change mechanisms and the corresponding factors. 展开更多

Globally about half of the world’s population is under micronutrient malnutrition due to poor quality food intake.To overcome this problem,fortification and biofortification techniques are often used.Biofortification is considered a better option than fortification due to the easy control of nutrient deficiencies present in daily food.This field experiment was conducted to evaluate the effects of foliar application of a micronutrient mixture(MNM)consisting of zinc(Zn),iron(Fe),copper(Cu),manganese(Mn)and boron(B)on yield and flour quality of wheat.The results show the effectiveness of foliar feeding for growth and yield parameters,in addition to the enriching of wheat grains with Zn,Cu,Fe,Mn and B.Compared to the control without foliar feeding,foliar application on wheat crop increased tillering ability,spike length,grain yield and the contents of Zn,Cu,Mn,Fe and B by 21,47,22,22 and 25%in wheat flour,respectively.Therefore,foliar feeding of micronutrients could be an effective approach to enrich wheat grains with essential nutrients for correcting malnutrition. 展开更多

Mathematical delay modelling has a significant role in the different disciplines such as behavioural,social,physical,biological engineering,and bio-mathematical sciences.The present work describes mathematical formulation for the transmission mechanism of a novel coronavirus(COVID-19).Due to the unavailability of vaccines for the coronavirus worldwide,delay factors such as social distance,quarantine,travel restrictions,extended holidays,hospitalization,and isolation have contributed to controlling the coronavirus epidemic.We have analysed the reproduction number and its sensitivity to parameters.If,R_(covid)>1then this situation will help to eradicate the disease and if,R_(covid)>1 the virus will spread rapidly in the human beings.Well-known theorems such as Routh Hurwitz criteria and Lasalle invariance principle have presented for stability.The local and global stabilizes for both equilibria of the model have also been presented.Also,we have analysed the effect of delay reason on the reproduction number.In the last,some very useful numerical consequences have presented in support of hypothetical analysis. 展开更多

Pneumonia is a highly transmissible disease in children.According to the World Health Organization(WHO),the most affected regions include south Asia and sub-Saharan Africa.Worldwide,15%of pediatric deaths can be attributed to pneumonia.Computing techniques have a significant role in science,engineering,and many other fields.In this study,we focused on the efficiency of numerical techniques via computer programs.We studied the dynamics of the pneumonia-like infections of epidemic models using numerical techniques.We discuss two types of analysis:dynamical and numerical.The dynamical analysis included positivity,boundedness,local stability,reproduction number,and equilibria of the model.We also discusswell-known computing techniques including Euler,Runge Kutta,and non-standard finite difference(NSFD)for the model.The non-standard finite difference(NSFD)technique shows convergence to the true equilibrium points of the model for any time step size.However,Euler and Runge Kutta do not work well over large time intervals.Computing techniques are the suitable tool for crosschecking the theoretical analysis of the model. 展开更多

BACKGROUND Subclavian steal syndrome(SSS)caused by Sjogren's syndrome is rare,especially for elderly patients with risk factors for atherosclerosis.The current report presents the uncommon etiology and treatment of SSS,aiming to improve doctor’s clinical experience.CASE SUMMARY A 69-year-old man was diagnosed with hypertension and acute cerebral infarction presenting with left upper limb weakness and pain even gradually aggravating to left limb hemiplegia 30 years ago.He was managed with antihypertensive and antithrombotic therapy;however,his condition was recurrent,and he never had any further examination.It was found that the difference of the bilateral upper arm systolic pressure was over 20 mmHg,and Doppler examination showed that the blood flow of the left vertebral artery was reversed,suggesting SSS.Further tests revealed a benign lymphoepithelial lesion in salivary gland tissue,confirming the Sjogren's syndrome.CONCLUSION The patient was found to have hypertension when he was 33 years old,and the blood pressure of both sides was asymmetric,which was ignored.The patient's symptoms of dizziness and upper limb weakness were misdiagnosed as general cerebral infarction.It is necessary to test the aorta computed tomography angiography to prove secondary hypertension factors such as Sjogren's syndrome. 展开更多

Penumbral Dose Characteristics of Physical and Virtual Wedge Profiles

Purpose: Both physical and virtual wedges are used in radiotherapy to get uniform and desired dose distribution in clinical setting. All linear accelerators of different venders have computer controlled dynamic wedges called virtual wedge filters. Penumbra is one of the important photon beam characteristics needed to be understood in radiation therapy at the time of commissioning of Treatment Planning system (TPS) as well as applying various treatment planning algorithms in clinical applications. In this study we measured the dose profiles of open field, physical wedges (PW) and virtual wedges (VW) for energies (6 MV & 15 MV), various field sizes (10 × 10, 15 × 15 & 20 × 20 cm2), depths (dmax, 10 cm, 20 cm) and wedge angles (15°, 30°, 45° and 60°). From beam profile we calculated the penumbral width for open and wedged fields. The study was carried out on Siemens ONCOR IMRT Plus linear accelerator. The obtained penumbral width of PW and VW of all wedge angles was subtracted from the penumbral width of open field. The deviations in penumbral width were compared and statistically analyzed as a function of energy, depth, field size and wedge angles. Material and Method: The penumbral width was measured using IBA CC13 ion chamber in IBA Blue phantom (a 3D water phantom). The source to surface distance (SSD) during our study was kept 100cm and measurement was taken for 10 × 10, 15 × 15, 20 × 20 cm2 field sizes and for 15°, 30°, 45°, 60° wedges. These measurements were taken for both 6 MV and 15 MV photon energies. Virtual wedge profiles were acquired using LDA-99 linear detector array (IBA, Germany). The deviations in penumbral width for both PW and VW were calculated by subtracting the penumbral width from open field penumbral width in gun direction (in-plane) and deviation in VW penumbral width, and were obtained by subtracting the open field penumbral width in left-right direction (cross-plane) direction. The measured deviations were plotted for both PW and VW. Statistics on the measured deviations was performed by using SPSS Version 15. Results & Conclusion: The results of one way ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) show that the deviations are significant with energy and the deviations are higher in lower energy than higher energy. The deviations increase as depth increases, the deviations are also significant with depth. The deviations increase with field sizes;the deviations as a function of field size are highly significant. The deviations are higher in PW than VW but the deviations with wedge type are in-significant. As wedge angle increases, deviations also increase and the effect of wedge angle is highly significant on deviations. 展开更多

Clastogenic ROS and biophotonics in precancerous diagnosis

BACKGROUND: Cancer is the leading cause of death worldwide. The application of biophotonics for diagnosing precancerous lesions is a major breakthrough in oncology and is associated with the expression of clastogenic bio-markers, such as reactive oxygen species (ROS), namely, superoxide anion radicals, hydrogen peroxide, hydroxyl radicals, and lipid peroxidation products. These ROS are the major sources of ultra-weak biophotons emission; in addition, biophotons are emitted from other biomolecules, which are not associated with ROS. The precancerous phase is diagnosed on the basis ofbiophoton emission from biomarkers. The type of biophotons emitted depends on the structure of the clastogenic ROS. METHODS: ROS-based emission of ultra-weak photons can be detected using charge coupled device (CCD) cameras and photomultiplier tubes. Furthermore, spectroscopic and microscopic analysis can yield more advanced and definite results. RESULTS: The frequency and intensity of biophoton emission associated with each ROS provides information regarding the precancerous phase. Previous have attempted to show an association between precancerous growth and biophoton emission; however, their results were not conclusive. In this review, we have addressed multiple aspects of the molecular environment, especially light- matter interactions, to derive a successful theoretical relationship which may have the ability to diaganose the tumor at precancerous stage and to give the solutions of previous failures. This can be a major quantum leap toward precancerous diagnosis therapy. CONCLUSION: Biophotonics provides an advanced framework, for easily diagnosing cancer at its preliminary stage. The relationship between biophotons, clastogenic factors, and biochemical reactions in the cellular microenvironment can be understood successfully. The advancement in precancerous diagnosis will improve human health worldwide. The versatility of biophotonics can be used further for novel applications in biology, biochemistry, chemistry and social fields. 展开更多

The constant energy contours are plotted in the kx-ky plane at a photon energy of 30 e V to examine the gapping feature of the nodal line. In addition, we depict the band dispersions along the Γ-M and Γ-X directions from the ARPES images at photon energies ranging from 24 to 40 e V. The kz mapping confirms the presence of stable Dirac points with obvious kzdependences along the M-A and X-R directions. In this paper, we report the two types of nodal lines associated with the theoretical local-density approximation calculations, broadening the horizons of nodal-line semimetal research. 展开更多
