Affecting 0.5% - 2% of the population, AA manifests in several types, from mild to severe. Objectives: This study aimed to examine AA’s etiology and innovative treatments of AA, presenting a comprehensive overview of existing and investigational therapies. Methods: We conducted a systematic literature review and screened recent studies to gain insight into treatment efficacy and outcomes. Results: The complexity of AA and the potential for novel therapies enhanced patients’ quality of life. Conclusions: There is a need for further research into AA’s genetic underpinnings of AA and more targeted treatments.展开更多
